    Thank you for this and thanks for talking through what you are doing...This one's challenging for me to be honest, but eventually I'll get it lol

    I would probably go for different colours, but I like the pattern. Is it possible to do the same pattern but with more colours?

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes you could. You could add a different colour at each side (or more than one, depending on the thickness of the bracelet you wanted, or the amount of colours you wanted) as long as you had an equal number of threads for each side overall. If you were working as a chevron. HTH 😊

    When he says knot to the center does he mean do forward knots on the left and backward knots on the right?

  • @johncook3689
    @johncook3689 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah thats so much easier than knotting row by row horizontally for sure thanks! Does the same principle work if I wanna widen the bracelet and make a thicker one though?

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It'll work with more threads or even with more colours as long as you always remember to maintain the colour order every time you knot two different coloured threads together (either by knotting fwd/bwd or by bwd/fwd).

    after you finish the first set do you keep knitting starting from the outer string of the color or repeat the pattern of the inner one then the second then outer

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once you've created your chevron point it becomes a one row repeat pattern. You can work in any direction you prefer when both colours are the same, but I usually do forward knots on the left and backward knots on the right when I work to a chevron point.
      For any where the colours of the two threads are different I do a fwd/bwd on the left and a bwd/fwd on the right. But again you could do the opposite if you preferred as long as you kept the threads in same order after knotting.
      In the centre point I always do a forward knot as I prefer those if I can use them. But once again, it's down to your preference.
      I hope that helps 🤞🏻

    I like it but I think it'd be easier to do normally if you know what I mean. Working into the centre is confusing me a bit, had to watch a couple of times and still getting mixed up, smh :(

    it's complicated for total beginners, sorry. I completed rest of the pattern as a concidence. Here's how:
    example:
    color1 + line1 = 11
    color2 + line3= 23
    here's how your pattern looks like:
    11-12-13 21-22-23-24 31-32-33
    11-12, 12-13, 13-21, 21-22
    33-32, 32-31, 31-24, 24-23
    23-22 for the center
    and repeat it till the end. it's easy.

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I should have shown this one from the chevron point rather than the beginning bit where I filled in from the straight start to convert to a chevron. That would probably have been better as its own video.
      If worked from both edges as the chevron point (either filled in or tapered afterwards) it would be a one row repeat pattern which would be much simpler for a beginner.
      So worked straight as a chevron starting from the outside threads it would be fwd knots on the left (with a fwd/bwd every time the threads were different colours) and bwd knots on the left (with a bwd/fwd every time the threads were different colours).
      Sorry for the confusion!

      Once you've knotted all your threads just return to outside threads and repeat the last row until the bracelet is as long as you want it.

    what type of beginning loop do you recommend?

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A teardrop loop or an inverse loop would work well with this style, then you can work straight into the chevron style I think..

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can work it as a straight edge 'normal' 1-2 pattern if it's easier. I just like chevron style knotting because I think they're a bit tighter worked that way.

  • @izzyslezak3908
    @izzyslezak3908 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    could you explain better?!

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's basically knotting in whichever direction you want if you are knotting two of the same colour. For different colours knot to keep your colours in the same position (so f/b if the knotting thread is on the left and b/f if it's on the right)
      Alternately I did a straight edged version which shows the knots as a diagram as they are worked.

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did forward knots on the right and backward knots on the left because it was worked as a chevron. You could work it as a straight edge if you preferred.

  • @riverthompson6552
    @riverthompson6552 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So many parts of this video are confusing because you don't do the pattern one full time through and say where to rewind to start again. The language used is not concise so it is hard to follow and you don't state what you are doing either.

    • @objeXionable
      @objeXionable  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's forward knots on the left (and centre)
      Backward knots on the right
      Except if the colours of the threads are different.
      Then it is forward backward on the left
      And backward forward on the left.
      Once the chevron is created it is a one row repeat pattern. You can really do any direction of knot while the colours are the same. But use a fwd/bed on the left and a bwd/fwd on the right when they are different to keep the colours in the same place after every row.
