In Hungary there are about 160 thermal bath oporunities some of them fully equipped with medical treatment facilities, like Heviz,Zalakaros, 5 holtels in Budapest e.t.c.
For more thermal bath variety, try Zalakaros or Hevis. Both in the west of the country (around 2 hours from Budapest). The food is also superb and very traditional, with aleaning towards fish as both towns are very close to Balaton.
Just home from a week in Budapest. Kiraly bath is closed for renovation until future notice. Rudas is co-ed until January 9 mens’ day. Gellert and Szechenyi are both coed every day. Been there just for the spas about a dozen times. Their Christmas Market won ‘Best in Europe’ this year! Handel’s Messiah in the newly refurbished State Opera House was one big goose-bump. As was Ave Maria at St. Stephen’s Basillica. And the goulash…. Mmmmmmm goulash. GO! You won’t be disappointed. ❤
New subsriber here! I find your videos interesting and relaxing. I am also fond of thermal baths especially because of its health benefits. Sadly, not much to be found in my place. Hope to visit Japan or countries like these one day. Thank you for sharing these experiences.
I always rent an apartment - air bnb, VRBO, etc. No need to plonk about in a single room, and you can settle in and make some meals and save money. There are too many good restaurants to name! Downtown is heavily tourist oriented and you can wander into the closest little place and eat well. Lots of Turkish food, of course. Got amazing shawarma out the service window of a takeout half a block away. Oh, and there’s a Nobu if you like that kind of thing.
@@NomadicWes Thank you. Please review local foods for all countries and cities you visit. And it can be a separate video or combined with a city activity video. I like your adventures.
Very nice video. Well, Veli Bej "where no tourist go"??? Okey, you are here now and actually a lot of another tourists here too in high season. Still enjoy!
I am surprised that they allow filming inside of the Spas. Did you get the consent of all those people for being shown like that in your videos? I can almost not believe that this is legal.

Somebody needs to make a video or write a book about all the baths in Budapest. I would gladly purchase one.

The oldest? Built by Turks I believe. It is stunning inside and nondescript from the outside. I've been there & it's fantastic.

Those places are beautiful! Although the naked ones look more fun. 😂
Did you find the steam sauna room? It’s tucked away and you could miss it easily.
Nice Video👍have you been in geinberg today? Greetings from Austria
Please also talk about local food, like what you had at the end of the video.
Actually local food in Budapest is my next video's topic! Wait until next weekend😉

It doesn't look very polite to film other people in a hotspring, even when no one complains.
No way. The spa capital of the world is - Spa, the Belgian town of Spa, where the name originates from.
