    if you tell them to not crack your neck, they won't even touch it. I personally have never experienced this cracking process in a hammam nor seen it. So, stay safe and don't let your neck to be cracked again in a hammam :D

      I got a haircut in Bahrain 15 years ago and at the end the barber (Indian) was massaging my neck and scalp. Very pleasant and I relaxed. Suddenly, without warning, he cracked my neck. It’s never been the same since.

    • @Akira-dm3tj
      @Akira-dm3tj 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Is cracking the neck bad for your body??? Cuz I thought that it was an important part of body massage and was thinking about trying it.

    • @lazypayday4476
      @lazypayday4476 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@Akira-dm3tj It's not bad at all if done correctly, problem being is that it's an incredibly sensitive area. Just like all things in the world too much can lead to extreme consequences. I pop my neck all the time, same as my knuckles I just do it to keep my hands busy, but when it comes to doing it to someone else there's a chance too much force is applied and lasting damages occur.

    I understand the concern over getting your neck cracked but honestly its pretty safe. Your neck is extremely tough, and requires about 500 pounds of force to snap, even than there is still a decent chance you will not suffer any nerve damage.
    In fact the most common injury after neck damage is a stroke, which you don't ever hear about, that's how rare it is. Movies have kinda made it seem like the neck is extremely fragile, its hard to damage even if you intentionally try to do so.
    During the old days if the US when they would hang people as capital punishment they had to do so 10 foot in the air, while also having the individual stand on a drop plate. A persons weight alone is not enough force to break the neck/spine but the drop increases the force 10x.
    Side to side is about 500 pounds of force, up and down is about 1000 pounds.

    That was fun, and Istanbul seemed like a great place to stay if you want to live like a king on limited funds. I wonder if they allow Americans to take up residence there.

    I was suppose that massage and sauna are normaly activity in Japan as all oriental countries such as Tailand. I know also that Turkish hamman are milenar inside they culture. Where is the difference between boths?
