The part where he leans over and singles out Trevor to ask him why he's being so quiet, that resonated with me on another level.
ash we’ve all had experiences like that when we were younger. Being bullied in that type of passive aggressive way is much more resonating that just getting beaten up for your lunch money.

potwhovian no, they never existed.. he went out camping by himself and just imagined the whole thing. At the end after they explode even their beer and marshmallows disappear.
They were grow a guys after they died in horrific accidents. The parents couldn't cope with the loss so they replaced them. The last guy was a recent friend. He couldn't of known. This could explain them at assholes(beck) parents house.
How about, he has a personality disorder and each one of his personalities grew the other four people and his true self grew james. So obviously he doesn't know the others are the grow a guys and he thinks they are his regular friends..so the only grow a guy he knows of is his.

That ending has me thinking that the video was about one loney guy who made five "grow-a-guy/gal" friends so he could hang out with someone, and they each developed a personality. Then when one of them questioned if he had any real people friends, he panicked and grew a best friend. Now the ending is super depressing, as this lonely, slightly mad man is right where he started. Audience laughs, fade to black.
