"Moonlapse Vertigo" from Opeth's "Still Life" album (1999).
Seems like we're gonna have both remakes of Moonlapse Vertigo and Moon Above, Sun Below on this channel soon. It's only now that I realize that the whole of Sorceress is basically missing since I covered every single Sorceress song in 2016. But oh well, we'll get there eventually. I'm not looking forward to actually transcribing more older Opeth songs as the bass is just absolutely HIDDEN. The outro in this song is a little different to what I'm playing, but I just can't hear what's being played. So I guess we'll just follow the guitars this time.

I always felt like Opeth's mixes don't let the bass come through enough, so I love watching these videos to hear what's going on beneath the guitars, vocals, and drums. There are some really elegant bass lines in there.
I feel like the bass balance is a bit better on the latest albums, but not so much on the very heavy albums
