As much as adolescent me was in love with Pam, nobody could shake their thing like Lily!

I was watching this and looking at Lily Tomlin dance.
    Then I replayed it over

Notice the lack of comments. A lot of people probably are skeptical of J. Edgar Hoover actually being dead--they feel like he's still out there somewhere--lurking.

As a kid, I thought Laugh In was crazy funny. I watch it now and can’t figure out why.

Most people don’t know that qualified immunity was invented by the Supreme Court just for Hoovers retirement. Hoover was afraid that he’d be prosecuted for all the laws he broke while he was the FBI director. Earl Warren was a personal friend and agreed to make it so Hoover would be able to retire in peace. Qualified immunity was the result.

Thank you for showing this. I probably have seen a lot of Laugh-In, but I have never seen this.
I hope this comment is approved by the FBI. I would hate to see the black Suburbans pulling up to my house. 😉

Hoover needed a little humor added to his existence.

The social media posters who automatically post that we're so much more sensitive today than 50 or 60 years ago need to learn about the mass anger over this light little poking of fun at the FBI and Hoover. We are less sensitive today.

If the FBI is monitoring these comments; I don’t know anything and my neighbor did it.

George better watch out about making FBI gags if he wants to live a long life!
Seriously, I was surprised to realize that TW3, Tom Lehrer and the Smothers Brothers all held back from touching this subject! On the other hand, MAD magazine ran a game called Draft Dodger in 1958, leading to publisher William Gaines writing a *letter of apology* to Hoover!!!
