Thank you so much for sharing this class with us all. Clear and concise explanation. Wonderful images. Spectacular music. Really a delightful video. I will keep watching your classes. Thank you so much and see you soon.
I am so glad you enjoyed my videos. I enjoy making such videos and it is very rewarding to hear that people like you enjoyed my work. It is labour of love!!😀😃
Very exiting talk on the i ching, are you planing on doing more about the book of changes? Its such a profound text, i consulted it twice and the answers was so direct. I have studied Carl Jungs work alot, he wrote the foreword to the edition of my I Ching by Richard Wilhelm, he always spoke highly of the text and its importance. Thanks for taking the time to make the wonderful video.
Yes, I am preparing for more videos on the book of changes. I am a philosopher. I will be talking about the philosophical significance of I Ching, maybe also the spiritual impacts it has on Chinese people, definitely its historical development over the five or more thousand years.
This was very interesting and useful, thank you for making this video. I really enjoy learning tai chi so it's nice to see the connection between this and divination :)
I love your I Ching series. Could you make some videos about scholars Zhū Xī 朱熹 and specially my favourite Shào Yōng 邵雍 and other scholars mentioned here and others you consider interesting? Thanks for your videos and your channel and greetings from Uruguay!
Thank you for your support!! I'll certainly check out about 朱熹 and 邵雍. Both of them are extremely important figures in the Neo-Confucianism! I am planning to make videos about the Song Dynasty scholars in the near future. Even though many scholars believe that Confucianism was adopted as the state ideology during the Han Dynasty, but I believe it was the Song Dynasty that really was a dynasty governed by Confucianism ideology. I just uploaded a new video on I Ching, I would love to hear your view on it. Looking forward to see more of your comments!!
@@dr.gaosclassroom Your videos about 邵雍 and Neo-Confucianism and Song's scholars will be much appreciated. I'm watching all your videos, beginning with I Ching ones and Chinese philosophy and history. I'll leave my comments so, but I don't know if they'll be of interest.
A taoist student once told me I could be a powerful healer/ shaman if I could only find a teacher. When he was taking my pulse I had a vision. He said I had a strong connection to the spirits
please share your contemplations on alchemy, especially the three primes - sulfur, salt, mercury - as how they correspond with ancient Chinese thought about the nature of reality . wouldn’t that be interesting?! :)
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll look into it. My knowledge on Chinese alchemy is quite limited. But I know the works by a fourth century philosopher/physician Ge Hong would certainly address this topic. I am familiar with his philosophical work but not his alchemy work. You can certainly look into his work if you are interested.
Thank you! Sorry I don't speak Korean. I wish I can. I grow up in Shenyang, a northeast city where there are a large Korean population. I wish I learned Korean when I was young!
Yes. I am still learning. There is a channel on I Ching by a very nice lady. She explained the topic with much more detail. If you are interested, here is the video explaining I Ching: th-cam.com/video/k1qPxVWkfyc/w-d-xo.html
@@sidepriest Yes, it is practiced in all Chinese communities around the world. However, the situation in mainland China is hard to say. On one hand, I Ching has provided a philosophical basis for traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years and constitutes the theoretical foundation of traditional Chinese medicine. And traditional Chinese medicine is promoted by the state. On the other hand, the popular uses of I Ching in Fengshui, healing, and other practical use ares regarded with suspicion by the authority but are used by many people in private.

@@mauricioquintero4657 That sounds wonderful. Maybe you can contact Benebell Wen. I think she is offering courses on I Ching practice.
Excellent presentation

Superstition not based on scientific evidence.
I would be nice if you can provide arguments or reasons supporting your conclusion. I am a philosopher, I listen to reasons.
@@dr.gaosclassroomwhat I’d like to know is if modern YI practitioners employ it to heal ailments.
