It would be good for programming if you could have your code at the bottom and the website etc at the top or a tutorial video and the code on one screen
Make it chunkier so it gets longer battery and give us a dedicated gpu. Orthogonal USB ports and reduce that wobble with better magnets or groves/lock mechanism.
Considering this for school. Seems like a university dream laptop. Except the price.
You can just put an iPad above your MacBook or your Android above your window laptop 😂

That stand is definitely super clever, I love wild designs like this and I wish we could see more companies try out wild ideas to see what sticks and what innovates.

Lenovo's wave of mega silent firings in early 2023 were absolutely despicable. They laid of thousands of really great people after posting record profits and bragging about moving up the Forbes list each quarter in their "All Hands" NA org sales meetings to those people that moved the needle for them. They ruined thousands of people's lives, especially those that relocated and even bought new homes during the peak of covid when Lenovo asked for their dedication to support and grow the business. Their warranty process is atrocious and considered terrible by anyone who has had to deal with service claims on top of this.
I have literally been salivating, drooling over the release of this laptop since January. Very jealous you got your paws on one!

That waterfall mode is amazing! Using Onenote across two screens feels more like taking note on an actual a4 size paper
One can tell that you truly enjoyed reviewing this product, and that feeling is contagious.
Now I want to get my hands on this laptop.
Awesome to finally have a production model of this device for review. I have been salivating at the thought of owning one of these devices since i saw it at CES. Cant wait for them to go on sale next month.
I'm super hyped for this and hope they carry this concept and release more polished versions in the future. This device has a lot of very handy use cases.

Starting my second year of college and decided to get a proper laptop. Decided to go with the 16' Yoga 7i but man this is such a cool concept and is my fream laptop atm.

Seems to be a great concept. I haven’t noticed any discussion on this, but one thing to keep in mind will be repair costs. From the video I couldn’t see how the lcd panels are attached to the casing. If you break one screen, depending on the placement of the motherboard, you may have to remove both screens to have it repaired. This will increase the cost of repairs. With more reviews of this product we will be able to tell how repairs may have to occur, and what additional costs may accrue in the future.
This seems like the most promising new form factor in yearzzz!

Amazing tech solution.
Been waiting for the new x1 fold but I think this the better way to go; 2 discrete screens work better and should be more durable. Pity there is no dockable stylus like the old X1 yoga; I must be one of the few people who actually use the pen constantly to edit and mark up pdf's so an on-board solution would have been great. I think they could have stuck a silo in the sound bar, that would have been sweet. Still going to buy it though.

I love the concept of dual screens, I can't live without my Asus ZenBook Duo and this looks like a step up. Everything seems solid and well thought out, the only bad thing would be the internal hardware. You can't design that concept and ask for that amount of money without thinking about designers, programmers and content creators, who are the ones who would get the most out of it and for whom it clearly does not offer enough power. I'm still looking forward to future versions to see how it continues to evolve.

Wanted to let you know that by luck I ordered the “perfect” mouse for this: “Microsoft Surface Mobile Wireless Mouse, Ice Blue”. Light-weight, curved, slightly magnetic, and very close to matching in color. Super happy with both! [not everyone receives a mouse with their Lenovo Yoga Book]

I wish there was a higher spec version. I would get this in a heart beat, but the specs are lacking for development work.

I was waiting for such a thing since Lenovo's iBook c930 (amazing version with two screens, passive cooling, ability to wake up just as an Android Tablet does and weigh no more than 650g) disappeared from sale. I was fascinated by it, other people were constantly asking me about it and always find it very attractive too. The new features even more impressive but I wish the new i9 would be in 10 or 11" size, because 13-14 is not a thing one would gladly take along everywhere
I believe that this laptop form factor is meant to be used with an external keyboard.
Using an external keyboard on a normal laptop takes up more table space and it also puts the screen further away from you unless you put your keyboard on top of the laptop chassis which is not ideal and invites unwanted problems.
This setup is my endgame if it is expanded in the future, dual 14.5-16 inch with 120hz oled displays and some sort of DGPU, maybe Strix Halo late next year, maybe a 45w lovelace chip, anything really.

The idea of having conveniently portable dual screens is really exciting but damn man that price point is understandably high. I feel about this laptop I feel about the slew of portable gaming steam deck like devices. On an unlimited budget id buy immediately but in the real world it’s tough to shell out that cash

Hope beefier version comes out with more ram and storage. This is the perfect idea for a portable workstation for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge.

Very nice. The dual portrait orientation is especially interesting for writing. Speaking as an Apple guy, it's nice to see manufacturers taking some chances.
As a Mac guy myself and a film maker I hope mac does something like for the Mcbook Pro.
I have been a Mac guy but after my last purchase of the Mac book Pro 13" M1 at over a thousand pounds, I then realised that this "laptop for creators" can only handle one external monitor!!!! What a piece of shit from Apple!!!

Apple makes great products but I refuse to support them due to their business practices, they are THE most predatory technology company because they know they can get away with it like they have been for years now. Interesting, but very expensive for its hardware. I love the portable dual monitor concept. My current solution is MacBook Pro 14” + iPad Pro 12.9. Similar form factor when carrying both, but the MacBook is much more powerful and I can use the iPad on its own as well. A bit more expensive overall, though not so much (in total I think it costed me around 2400-2500$ compared to the 2100$ of the Lenovo) but it think it is worth it. I still like this Lenovo a lot though!
I use a similar setup, mainly because I don't want to use Windows. But that solution is much bulkier and heavier than this, the 14in alone is 3.5lb. The iPad is 1.5lb, plus 0.9lb for the lightest folio case. Combined it's literally double the weight of this laptop.
@@simioni yeah I get you point, but also it is less components to carry around. Just the Mac and iPad, while with this you have the computer the folio case (that is not permanently attached like on the iPad) and the keyboard. So volume-wise I don't think there is that much of a difference.
One of my main issues is also not wanting to use windows, but also I like that through my setup I have the ability to use the devices on their own.
Both Macbook and ipad are more powerful than this laptop.

This is exactly my point, and using my mac and ipad in a similar fashion, but still this looks cool to have and can play a whole gimmick around people with screens on top of one another, productivity wise I guess mac will still be a winner.

Q2: what's the depth when in stacked horizontal mode with the keyboard attached to the stand? Thinking about airplane tray tables here that aren't very deep.
