Maybe this is hyperbole, but imo this is the best informational video I've ever seen you make. I'm not a huge follower of your channel but I've obviously seen you around in card games forever and this has really helped to flesh out for me how eloquent you can be while still being efficient at spreading good information. I wanna start by saying these guides are really nice and helpful! Thx for that :D Now I have a suggestion; you could make a (or a couple) video of you giving detailed explanation of every decision you make in game, either in live of a post-commentary. Often while watching your videos I don't understand why you buy a certain unit that doesn't seem to fit anywhere in your comp, or why you put a certain unit instead of another, or why you use your money instead of saving, and many other details like that. I'm sure I am not the only one and having a video explaining those details would help us understand the game more! Keep doing what you're doing, you're awesome :D

If you were winning and got no upgrade nearby you can start saving,and always prioritize lvl above of reroll
@@therrogue1193 Always? I feel like some comps don't benefit as much from the 9th or 10th unit as opposed to some unit upgrades.

@@completeaddiction going for lvl never hurt your gameplay with little setback,for reroll you might not getting what you need and might lose 10+ gold just to find that one ck. Unless you were like one unit away to 3* and is losing pretty bad,going for level is your main priority.
@@completeaddiction we go for lvl mainly because of the legendary unit chances,the unit cap is just the cheery on top. A person with lvl 2 tide and disruptor and lvl 1 enigma can beat almost any 3* unit.

Nice video! One interesting topic I might suggest is mid game transitions. I often find a problem when it is midgame and I have to change my early tron/warrior package to something else. You could make a vid explaining what is the right moment to change the core of your units and what cores are better mid late game

for mid game transitions . from my experience bishop -4 , from the stage when early -> mid (round 10 -> 20 ) is when i start collecting what units i want in the mid game . you will know what u should going at mid game by how the rolls gave u what kind of units . then put them in when you can upgrade them to 2 stars . then sell away the most useless early games unit then replace it in .
I like the content, can you make a guide about how to balance when to save up gold for interest vs level up vs re-roll. Or possibly a guide about best late game comps. More on the topic of late game comps, I am interested in when it makes more sense to follow the tier list, vs go for a highly synergistic team that sort of ignores the tier list. As you said you might use a C if it works well with your comp.

Can you make a guide on tranistioning to late game? what units to look out for with what comps to add or move into with?
Puzzle #1 - Switch Axe and nearest Jug, so Jugs actually hit everything and Axe can protect the two level one DPS Jugs instead of the level 2 tank Tree. Enemy composition is terrible, but imo should go to one side, with Tinker on inner corner to soak most damage, then Timber, Axe, Jug, Slardar to flank, which in this case would focus down the BM and then free-kill the first Jug because of suboptimal Axe positioning.
Puzzle #2 - I would usually value the "ult now" potential of those legendaries above front-lining all of the warriors. They can both ult before dying even under full attack, so I'd put them at the front in the 3rd square from each edge and drop the warrior line back a square, aside from the Troll and a warrior in front of him, since it is important for Troll to be in range from the start. For melee, from L to R, I'd go Kunkka and Lycan, Alch and Jug, then Doom and BM. Kunkka wants an edge position so that he can use his ability more than once. He has a lot of armour, so most of his mana comes from doing damage, not from soaking it, but he can take a bit of heat at the start by being one of only 3 frontliners. The lonely last hero, not mentioned so far is Axe. He doesn't do a lot in a warrior based lineup, because you're mostly going to lose to spells, not right click. He certainly doesn't need to be protecting an Alch and a Kunkka. I'd just put him behind Troll, in case of assassins, which is the only place he can have a huge impact.
Puzzle #3 - I would do basically the same thing, moving to the middle, but positioning BM, Axe, CK, Aba. As you actually mentioned earlier in the video, Axe wants to jump in and save the units beside him, not to just soak all of the damage from the start. Abaddon does want to soak damage asap, so it makes more sense to have him on the edge, where more units can hit him. That all said, I think the random goblin buff on BH 2 would probably beat your lineup with pretty much any reasonable positioning.

in puzzle numer 1 i would put the axe beetwen jugs bec axe would draw enemies aggro away from jugs when they start casting their aoe dmg, treants is a tank, and there is no point in stealing his aggro
I'd be afraid the jugs die too fast that way. The way he set it up (and I had it similarly, just one step to the side), treant will take most damage and axe can protect him a bit. If your set up is bm, jug, axe, jug, tree, then your line is easier to be rolled up from right to left. Not sure if I'm right, just my line of thinking. The key is that the jugs are * and axe and tree are **.

@@SzymiSnake No, I prefer amaz setup. If axe is between the jugs, then the right jug is likely to die faster compared to the positioning in the video. This might change if you have items on the tree (e.g. platemail).

You could make your marker more slim, so you can see an arrow and not just a field of blue, so just you can improve on making your points if some lines cross each other.

This is great, wish there was one of these for mobile. There are pretty similar heros so im just going to guess what heros are which
in a box vs box formation how do i make sure my box doesnt break up and jump around to the enemy side??? it always happens ... if im going night my abadon and ck and omni just jump in to the other side then some assasins kill my dks and lunas and drows or whatever or the 3 "tanks" jump in before the dps units get close to the fight the tanks are alredy half dead.....ive seen when i play box vs box sometimes the oponent just stays still in the box and waits me and my units start jumping around to get there...
question what i do if i have like 9 warrior deck and they are doing corner box strat

I would love a guide on the different synergies, detailing how strong each bonus is and how important it is to reach each checkpoint. For example if using knights shoukd I get 4, 6 or should I just stop at 2 and look for other things to run with them. From that, which groups work well together? Trolls+orcs allows for warrior and shaman bonuses too for example.
This is very dependent on ur rolls and enemies. For example you might have 2 knights and be waiting forever to get the other 2 knights to form a 4 synergy. And also you might have 4 knight synergy and enemy has full troll build which absolutely wrecks. My advice is to just try to build highest levels of the strongest heroes you roll, and then synergy second. Don’t wait 10 rounds looking for that one hero you might never roll ultimately missing out on other good heroes.
@@harshabandreddi2632 my question is more whether it's worth it. If i had the option between 2 more knights or 2 other units that are strong individually, what would give me the 'strongest' set. I want to know when building for synergy is going to give you that big boost, and when you're better off not looking for more. Taking 2 more knights when you already have 4 won't add much to that synergy, but going from 2 to 4 trolls does make a huge difference.

@@harshabandreddi2632 pretty much. Also how powerful each is, like if i had the choice between warrior and knight, no one else is playing either, is there a "best" choice. Are there multiple synergies that work together well? For example, knights and hunters gives you a frontline with ranged dps, and you can also work in an undead bonus with that combo. I feel like theres a lot to cover when it comes to team structure.
@@GrrumpyPants As every knight has the full ability AND the ability gets better I'd like to think of Knights 4 as a strong combination. Trolls 4 is harder to get and the individual units tend to be weaker imo. Also, on abilities like knights or orks your third/fifth unit will be using the ability, while a troll 3 is completely useless. That's on of the most important criterias on how to combine units I guess: rush for "milestone abilities" like trolls and grow "unit buff abilites" like warriors, knights etc over the game
hey Amaz , just a quick question ? isnt lycan or lonedruid should be near the middle of the front line ( not middle because they may have a chance to die without summon bear or wolves ) . Because wheni put lycan or lonedruid as the side , they summon the animals abit too late ( always summon when like 3/4 of my units died ) . I mean i think these 2 units stats are bad only their summons are good so shouldnt we want them to summon asap and then just die ?

As a random Bishop, most of it wasnt new to me, but I still could learn something here and there. I really appreciate Amaz´s work on these videos overall - good quality and work put into it, thanks alot!

Really nice guide Amaz! Been doing most of the stuff at least decently but it's nice to watch this as I've picked up some really good tips and it helps to reinforce the idea of positioning. It also complemented my current knowledge based on 200+ autochess games!

I'd like a guide on synergies / comps. Like How dragons can pair with mages. Assassins with elves (or tiny). Trolls with knights. Basically different comps. How warlock bonus does literally nothing for mages. When to break synergies for strong, independent units. What you would need if you went 6 knights (what kind of dps).
I have yet to make a good beast comp. I've made a team with +2* all beasts but still lacking.

I'd like an item guide, a lot of times I'm putting items on guys and I'm saying "I think that's right", but I'm not really sure if it is the best or most optimal decision I could make. While it's also not terribly realistic, what item combo's I should most want to build if I were to ever have multiple options available to me and then little things like if certain items don't stack if multiples are put on the same character; also interested if debuff items apply to multiple units during splash or bounce attacks, etc..

what about assasins? the main question is "where do they jump"? I had played about 200 games, but I don't make sence! and sometimes AM or another unit(I don't remember exactly) jumps through full board! how can it be explained?
I don't understand that either sometimes they jump straight, sometime diagonal and sometimes they feel all fat and lazy and don't jump the back row at all but rather do a short hop up front and attack frontal I don't get it either. They may be coded randomly I mean it wouldn't be very assassin like to know what they are going to do right?

it`s exactly like in dota 2 only without recipes , for example if u get blades of atack on ground then broadsword u place those 2 items on a hero and u make crystalis ( because in the normal game crystalis is made by broadsword blades of atack recipe ) and all items are the same , made from same things only that they get completely done without the recipe.
@@aWake.d-_-bmhhh, okey sounds kind of hard to do. I never played dota2 only the chess version. So u don't need a recipe, but how do i know then which items belong together? And is it better to hold them in hand till u can fuse them, or do they still fuse on the minnions?
@@sandrozanelli5024 sorry i didin`t know you didin`t play dota 2 , i assumed youplayed , ok then you can right click on the item and click on show combinations and the game will show you what bigger items you can do for that particulary item , for example u get a mithrill hammer , you right click >show combinations> will show you Maelstorm and desolator 1 is made from javelin and mithrill hammer other from blight stone and 2x mithrill hammer , and if you want to keep your items for a combinations later , you can do what i do , i pick them up and i place them in line behind my heroes line . Like every hero that is sitting in the heroes boxes i place 1 item in the back of each one , and when i see i have enough items to make a good one , i pick them up from the ground on me , the item will build itself and then you place them on the hero you want . but sometimes the small items can help you in games, for example if you get a blight stone in round 1 , you should not keep it behind and place it on a good damage dealer instead dps from behind because that item would probably end up on the same hero anyway or u can get another similar one it happens more times than you think if u wanna place it on other hero , so sometimes if you have let-s say only damage items like broadsword and blight stone but you have only spell caster on field yes you should not place your blight stone on spel lcasters or whatever because it`s useless and you can-t get it back , but if you have some physical atack type hero you can place it on that because it will help you and probably would end up there anyway and vice versa if u build a kaya for example from staff of wizardry and robe of magi that item is useless on someone like axe because he have no spells but instead those kidn of items u place them on the spell casters if u have them on field if not u keep them behind until u need them you maybe place a herothat can benefit from that . If i did mistakes i guess i have a lot of them in my grammar sorry english it`s not my native language but i tried to explain at least understandable i hope
