Excellent tutorial. No faffing about, straight to the point.
These are my additional mods and the ones i disable:
162- UI
Enable - Body dots on Minimap
202- Optional
Disable - YACS better campfire saves (forces campfire saves)
Disable - Areas transition without confirmation
21- Visual
Enable - New item highlight
224- Newly added addons
Disable - Display campfires on map
Gamma HUD
Enable - Npc's cannot see through foliage
Also you can enable dark theme in the mod organizer settings. A bit easier on the eyes
I tried the NPC's cannot see through foliage, Too easy to cheese the A.i, when you hide behind a tree with a bush around it or just be in a bush then NPCs just wont shoot you but your free too shoot them. makes the game too easy so i keep it off now. Do you know if that YACS campfire one stops the daddy save?
@@sasmozza7019 Not the "Display campfires on map" i don't think. Pretty sure that's all in "YACS better campfire saves"
@@sasmozza7019 in my playthrough the ai will shoot blindly into bushes but i can’t see through bushes eighter so it’s balanced. What textures etc are you using?
I pretty much run the same thing, I wish there was thermals in the game then i'd leave the last one disabled

Great video! But you actually can save your enabled/disabled mods too, just use the backup button of MO2 to make the mod list backup before updating, then after the update use the restore button to see the list of previous backup, select the last one and... Done! You have your customized mod list back in one click!

@@HairBallPhotography there is the button in secondary MO2 toolbar, the last one on the right, just on the left of the number of active mods, with a green arrow the points to a hard drive: that is the button to do the backup. And on the lest of this button, with a yellow arrow, there is the "restore" button, that will show all the backups made in a chronological list, from where you can select which backup you want to restore.
This is extremely helpful! Been super anxious about updating myself. Only thing I need is for the mods I have disabled from gamma is to stay disabled. Have like 20 mods in there I really dislike and I funnily enough can never remember what they are called. Can't have everything I suppose. Big thanks anyways.

Great tutorial for lot of people . I would add one thing. To keep which mods U have turned ON and OFF. I recommend create copy profile from G.A.M.M.A that you have set . Name it differently. Than switch back to G.A.M.M.A profile back. And Update . After update you should have your saved profile so you do not have to turn OFF and OFF mods again. And you can compare what new update has brought to you. That should simplify lot of headache . For me it worked now.

You *can* back up your mods load order with the button just left of your "active" mods number (the arrow pointing to a drive). Then click the "Restore Backup" button left of that one, to load a previous load order.

After i rename the mcm file,it keeps all the changes i make and after uodate all i have to do is uncheck the new mcm and check the renamed one.Correct? The only "issue" is the fact that you have to check and uncheck every mod you don't want, but...oh well..
Correct! And yes rechecking and unchecking is a little tedious but not nearly as bad as defaulting all the settings
The best thing for working with custom mod list is to make a copy of gamma mod organazer profile: and do all your custom things and modlist there.
If gamma got updated with new mods aded: they will drop on the bottom of your custom mod list. You need to switch back on gamma profile, take a look were those mods are placed. Then switch to your custom profile and place those new gamma mods were they should be. Thats is all.
No, you dont need to disable old mcm. You can keep it on. But your custom mcm should be height priority
You don't have to check/uncheck you mods, you can backup them as well to have your customized list as before the update.

Ok, so I renamed the GAMMA MCM values on the Mod Organizer menu, then clicked Enter and the entire line disappeared and when I search for the MCM values in the GAMMA mod files folder, it doesn't come up. Was that supposed to happen or did I royally fuck something up?

May I also suggest turning on the mod that turns off NPC foliage ESP. Makes it so that can't see you through bushes. And downloading the Arrival anomaly mod.

Gamma still misses some key immersion animations
For crafting, disassembling, reassembling weapons ( when you shove in weapons parts and there's no animation), no animation for equipping a new armor or helmet or backpack, no animation for changing, PDA, NV, detector batteries, no animations when you create a campfire(just a black screen.. that's not immersive at all); phantom star perk is broken isn't actually 6 minutes but 6 in-game minutes, in short when you equip it half of the duration is expired...all of the 0.9.1 updates are for , nobody knows what...the Ash 12 scoped image on your inventory is still broken the gun is split in two and looks awful.
Yes 422 mods ...most of which are optional ...irrelevant or as MO2 shows , "new mods with bugs" ...why would you place them in the list of Gamma mods if they are not working ...and even add them to MO2 list of available mods..
Grok did a great job on putting together and survey all the new mods updates ...but I would pay to see more immersive animations and less fancy non immersive bs mods
