From 60 years of cat loving: It’s so important to have hands on your cat (s) every day, covering as much of the body as possible. It can take the form of play and it can be over 2 or 3 sessions in a day. I’ve also learned that paying attention to a change in litter box habits is also really important. One of my boys changed his regular habits after one of his supervised yard visits. He had eaten a small twig which obstructed his bowel. The second morning we were short a deposit, he went to Dr. UptheButt (his name for her and her thermometer) and this obstruction was located and removed, (no new refrigerator that year) and he and I lived happily on for another 10 years. Cats love routine. If there’s a change, there’s a reason, though it may not be a negative one. But because they will often suffer pain in silence, it falls on us to use all our senses (ok, probably not taste) to translate their behavior into medical care if needed. Thanks for these tips.
It's silly but I hesitated watching this. Just thinking our little girl could get cancer is difficult. Very important and useful information thank you very much!
Tell me about it. My white cat with blue eyes was just diagnosed with FIP so cancer was on my mind when he started to lose weight due to this disease. But this good to know since it’s so common!
My cat who was 17 when he passed away 2 months ago. He had 2 of the symptoms. It was the sudden weight loss he was a healthy 13lb his whole life too and he just went down to skin and bone and the seizures that scared the hell out of me. I gave him a small dose of CBD oil and it controlled his seizures until the end. He was always healthy until the end. He passed away at home in my arms wrapped up in a blanket. He was never a truly friendly cat but the days leading to his passing he became very friendly. It was like he was saying goodbye to everyone in the house and wanted to be petted and cuddled from the people he wanted nothing to do with his whole life. It freaked my brother out since he knew he wasn’t a friendly cat since he hid his whole life from family.
One big issue in the USA is the cost of veterinary care. The most basic care is hundreds of dollars per year. Anything extra can quickly go into the thousands of dollars. Its getting to the point that you have to be rich to have a pet.
@@tovahjonesmy cat just passed she’s 15 if I have insurance for her $65 a month(insurance quote)the math comes out to be $11,000! She’s been healthy til 15
Agree. I have a cat with a lump in his neck but I know no matter what the problem is, I can't afford anything except the initial visit. Inflation has eaten up all expendable income. We don't eat out or get coffees or have steaming services & only pay $30 for phones. Nothing left to cut to pay emergency expenses. Every time I went in the past it was $200-$1000. My dog had to be put down because I couldn't pay $3000 upfront for the lifesaving surgery he needed. It's terribly depressing when you cannot get medical care for animals without thousands in savings. Care credit isn't an option unless you are also well off (you cannot prove me wrong. I get denied every single time I try & I have no debt except mortgage & I pay on time. No negative debt) so no one mentions that please. Veterinary care is indeed becoming elite.
@@Jcthekat213 awww I’m so sorry. 😢 Unfortunately the older they are the more they charge. It’s like insurance for us. Even if you get it young as the get older it does go up. It’s sad.
my cat has major weight loss, veterinary said today xrays showed a large mass in her abdomen and recently she has had 3 seizures in less than a month. i was going to wait until this saturday to euthanize her but she had another episode when we came home from the vet today. I was fearful for her and couldn't bear to have her suffer and as hard as it is I called the vet and asked to set her an appointment for Tuesday maybe Wednesday to put her down. idk i'm sooo sad about this. Cancer in her abdomen, cancer in her brain maybe because of the recent seizures. I really wanted to extend her 13 year life a few more years but her health has declined greatly. Lucky 13 is the best cat any family could ever hope for. Loving, effectionate, playful. Yeah she is a cutie and will always be loved and missed.
My 17 yr old MC developed lymphoma. The lymph node behind his lung had grown so large that it was collapsing his lung. I only noticed something was wrong when he came out on the porch, he had to stop and catch his breath. He started panting like a dog. I scooped him up and took him to the emergency vet. X-rays showed his lymph node behind his lung area was so large that it was collapsing that lung. I miss my sweet boy so much. 💙🐾🐾
@@harvey3547 All I was told was that lymphoma is very common in cats.l rescued a Mama and 5 kittens after I lost my MC. At 5 months one of the girls had to be put down by her owner. She had lymphoma from FELV. The virus is so preventable with the vaccine. All the kittens are gone now.😿 4 developed lymphoma and 1 got bone cancer. He's the white kitty(Arthur )in my thumbnail pic. The red boy is Fred and he died from lymphoma which caused massive fluid on his lungs. I write this not to upset but to inform. Mama's can and do bring the virus to the newborns. Some are even born with it. It's been a rough year to say the least.
@@catbb1000 that is almost exactly what just happened to my cat: medisastinal lymphoma that presented very suddenly based on panting and labored breathing being the only symptoms. no pain, since she was purring, even while breathing heavily, like nothing was wrong. 2 days after first symptoms, she is totally oxygen dependent (CT scan revealed lung involvement), and after no response to large dose of steroids, prognosis was bad so that decision was obvious. lymphoma in cats has a bimodal age distribution, with young cats (2-4 years old) typically being FELV+, while older cats at 8-12 also commonly get it but are typically FELV-.
Our beloved 19 year old developed cancer on her paw that the vet suspected was feline lung-digit syndrome. The vet suggested we use Pretty Litter because it was softer on her feet and caused less pain. That was a rough season. She had lots of chronic health problems but the most taxing on her was IBD.
I had a wonderful cat that got breast cancer.I noticed it and the next say she went to the vet I did not give her breakfast so Dr Schwartz could remove the lump. He refered me to a cancer specialist and they recommended one breast chain. It was hard to find a vet who would remove just one. After the surgery to remove it they gave her a Elizabethian collar to wear. It was so long she could not eat with it on so I took it off She was a good girl and never messed with her stitches She went back for x rays and the cancer never came back
My cat is 14 years old and I'm so thankful that he is healthy and still playfully active!! I give Glucosamine drops every day for his joint pain and it seems to help!!🙏
I have a 16 year old girl that runs & jumps like a kitten. I put green muscle powder from new zea in wet food with a bit of bottled water. No store brand food. Solid gold chicken with coconut oil wet food & solid gold pumpkin & quail sensitive stomach crunches. Fruitables pumpkin treats.
I have a 4 year old female that had surgery a few months ago to have a thymoma removed. The surgeon also removed a few of her lymph nodes that were swollen. The thymoma was completely removed and the lymph nodes tested and came back negative 🙏🏼 She had her first follow up and x-ray since the surgery and everything looked good 🙏🏼
Vomiting turned out to be my 14 year old cat's first sign of intestinal lymphoma. She'd had a clean checkup and bloodwork only a month prior, and had been behaving normally. One day she suddenly struggled to eat, and vomited with a hint of pink - we took her to the vet *immediately.* It took a little while to get her final diagnosis - lymphoma had aggravated her pancreas, which caused the first detectable gastritis-like symptoms. Palliative care bought her a few good months.
My darling Charkles who was a lovely black cat got cancer..... she was a healthy weight, shiny coat, ate right up til the end. A year before she had to leave me, she would lose balance, falling down while trying to get up on a chair or the bed etc... looking dazed, she lost sensation in her right back leg too which was terrible, she couldn't go to the toilet, I had to help her stay upright. She got better, vet didn't know what was wrong, no ticks were found so after a blood test which I insisted on she sent us home. A year later she developed sores on her paws, went to another vet this time and we were thinking it was a bite on her paw as she was outside on her leash the day before. So cream was put on it. Not long after that she vomited early one morning, then not long after that she had a swollen eyelid, back to vet who then took a biopsy of her eye, I was very worried at this point, I didn't know what was going on, then as I was awaiting the results from the biopsy, I was stroking her and felt a small lump on her chest and thought the worst, and I was right, my beautiful girl had cancer and vet said she needs to be put to sleep, I was absolutely devasted, I said goodbye to her a couple of days later I had her for 12 years I love her so much, miss her so much, it's hard, very hard. I know she is not in pain now at least, I hope I see her again one day, when it's my turn! I forgot to mention she also had stopped eating a day before I put her to sleep, poor little darling, 😞
We had a cat named Lucky. She developed a lump on her neck. He was able to freeze it off. It wasn’t that big. Yet. But, a year later, the lump reappeared and it was very large, and started bleeding. Took her to a different vet, (we moved) and it was cancerous. So, she had to have surgery. They removed it, and she was like a brand new cat! Lived for 5 years, healthy, eating, and herself. Then, after that, went downhill very quickly, however she passed away at home (we were getting ready to take her to the vet at that point, to put her down). She was 17 years old.
My dearest fur baby developed sudden onset of urinating blood. Rushed him to the vet, ran the tests, from ruling out other causes it was purported to be bladder cancer. Another possible sign 💔😢 We we’re blessed with 15 years with our handsome Zeus 💙
I have lost three cats to cancer/tumors. 1st one was 9 or 10. My vet worked with the University of Madison for his care since he had not treated a cat with chemo before. He lowered his costs for me since he knew I didn't have a lot of money and that I pretty much did anything for my pets. Plus learning for him. Maximum life span of two years to live, he made it 18 months. I had to give him prednisone either several times a week or every other day. It's been 20 years. Once a month I gave him the chemo pill. Every day was a crapshoot of what I would come home to. A cat in pain or a happy kitty. I would never do this again. It was too hard on both of us. It's more mentally anguishing watching them in pain than to let them go. The other two were mother and daughter. I had them at the same time as the one above. First the daughter got a tumor at 12 years old. Vet was sure he could cut it out. He almost had it all out but the last part of it was wrapped around a main artery. Then the mother had a tumor or more. She was about 19 years old. I started with treatments but felt it was too cruel to keep up especially with her age. She needed extra hydration so there was a lot of poking tubes into her to do so. I couldn't handle it. I believe weight loss is how I noticed all of them. I remember when the first one passed I looked around one evening and realized all my pets left would be dying around the same time. In just over two years I lost the two girl cats, two dogs, and my bird. Talk about being devastated.
Thank you for this. My 13 yr old just diagnosed and they say they amputate a toe and give chemo to prolong but I don’t want to put him thru this for months. Your thoughts are helpful with the decision
I lost my little girl when she was only 3.5 years old, in 2013. Maggie didn't exactly have the best start in life, getting the cat flu from her mum. Being separated from her mum and siblings very early on and given to us without even being told that she was sick. Thankfully Maggie got better and she became my best friend who loved suckling on my neck from the day we got her until a week before I had to say goodbye to her. I noticed one day a hard pea shaped lump on her jaw and I wanted to take her to the vet but my partner thought I was just over reacting. 6 months later she stopped eating was walking around in circles meowing constantly, didn't know who we were and we couldn't pick her up without her screaming in pain. We ended up taking Maggie to the vet and well basically the pea sized lump had grown but by the vet feeling the lumps in her belly and in her lymph nodes she said that Maggie liked had cancer and the lump on her jaw was possibly the primary cancer and it just rapidly and aggressively spread to the rest of her body. We chose to take her home but a week later I couldn't stand to see her suffer anymore and we went back to the vet to ease her pain. I still struggle to this day. Benny is my soul cat now and he got me through my toughest time. He is now 11 years old nearly 12 and still a mummy's boy and smoochy as ever.
My 15 1/2 year-old cat was put to sleep on January 4 on election night here in the states. I noticed his right paw was bigger than his other three legs. He had what I thought was an abscess, but it ended up being a soft tissue sarcoma he lost 5 pounds in seven weeks and I had no choice but to put him to sleep it happened so fast it also ruptured in blood all over the house
Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm watching this video, bc my cat has a pink bump on her back and it's getting bigger as the months pass. I'm so worried 😢
Our 12 year old tabby swirl had a tumor near her heart. We didn’t know she had cancer until it was too late. Cats are very good at hiding their illness. What was tricky for us was we were on journey to help her lose some weight because we noticed she was having a harder time jumping up and down from old age. We changed her food to homemade and she started losing weight. But she lost a lot of weight in a few months… it happened quickly. I wish that we had known this information back then. Since our baby passed, we have been trying to educate ourselves so we know the signs of everything. Thanks for sharing this information.
I had a cat who developed an iris melanoma at about age 5 years. I took her the a veterinary ophthalmologist, who said that it likely wouldn’t be a problem and she would most likely die of something else before the melanoma became a threat. Over the years, the melanoma grew until her entire iris was affected, but she didn’t show signs of a problem until she began to have seizures at age 18. I gave her hospice care for a few months before she needed to be euthanized. The vet thought it likely that the melanoma metastasized to the brain. I still wonder if she would have done better if she had been enucleated or treated with laser when the melanoma was first diagnosed. Missing my dear friend.😢
Thank you for sharing! Understanding when something is wrong is tough with cats because they can hide it so well. I hope you share more content like this. Not cancer related but both of my boy cats had u. obstructions 2 years apart. I only knew what to look out for because it happened to my best friend’s cat. If I hadn’t recognized that this was an emergency and not a scheduled vet visit then I don’t know if I would still have my little guys ❤
My cat is a fast eater, if she eats all her food at once, she throws up. So I split her food into quarters and feed 1/4 every 8 minutes, she never throws up that way!
Yes ..my Sky had develop lymphoma he was being treated in the Oncology clinic I took him every week to get his chemo injections ,blood test every time . The doctor did say he could go on remission some don't this particular cancer they usually live only 3 months .. I just wanted my cat to live a little longer but it was not fair for him.... I thought about my pain and sadness to put him to sleep .. He suffered so much being injected so many times shaving his legs to do the treatment... But towards the end he just got worse his blood level kept dropping... They couldn't do anything else for him the chemo just made the cancer spread through out his body.. they couldn't continue the chemo anymore ...he started getting worse after the appointment I took him home he was in so much pain he was hungry but he couldn't eat.... I never heard a cat in so much pain it hurt to see him like that the following day I set up an appointment to euthanize him .. I will never let another pet go through that suffering. again.... I miss him so much he was 11 yrs old he was put to sleep August 14th 2023. My beautiful Sky he was a wonderful cat.. I adopted him when he was 1 .. 1/2 yrs old lived till 11 yrs old... I have his ashes. RIP my little one you not suffering anymore...
I appreciate all the information this video and this channel provides! My cats are getting older and I want to keep them healthy and happy as long as possible
We had an 18 yr old kitty who grew a lump by her armpit. Our pet ins was pretty bad so we paid to get the lump removed without testing it in hopes it wouldn't grow back. Well it did, and this time it had like 3 oozing spots. I knew it was cancer. They removed it and did an X-ray - mammary cancer that had spread to her lungs. She lasted 4 more months until we finally made the decision to put her down.
In January 2023 I took my 9 year old cat to my vet. I had noticed she had developed a bump on her chest. She is a female. The surgery was removal of the tumor, total removal surgery including spaying. One year later I took her back because the tumor/bump had returned. This time metastasis had spread to the lungs. Within one week she was gone. I had spent $5000 during this time.
I can't say for certain that my girl had cancer. I just had to put her down recently at age 19. She seemingly lost a lot of weight very quickly, but as a long-hair, I didn't notice it immediately. She got scrawny very quickly and stopped eating. I couldn't afford any testing for her and my vet said that at her age, with the sudden weight drop (about 8 pounds), she was most likely beyond treatment, so he recommended I put her down. She was soooo miserable and depressed, I had to do it. It was the hardest thing ever. But I'm so happy she isn't in pain anymore, and I hope there really is a Rainbow Bridge and she's playing with her brothers up there. I feel very guilty that I wasn't able to afford tests or treatment - a few years ago, it wouldn't have been an issue, but inflation...I was going hungry myself to make sure I bought her food, which she would end up not eating, so it wasn't a case of being an irresponsible cat mom. I really want another cat, but I'm going to wait till I have a good-sized medical fund saved up, which will take a very long time. I do wish there was some kind of fund created by a benevolent billionaire that helps out pet owners with this sort of problem, maybe grants or loans that you could be approved for right there at the vet visit. Not everyone can be approved for Care Credit on the spot. RIP Moosha 😿💔
@@AngelaZsiga Absolutely. As I said though, with my girl, she was elderly and the weight loss happened so quickly, my vet said putting her down would be the best option, so even if I had the funds, it most likely would not have helped her. At the very least, she didn't get sick at a younger age. She was 19, so she was ready to go. I miss Moosha every day. I wish your kitty the best 😺
Would you be able to speak more on vomiting and regurgitating? I've been through a full panel of blood work and trying to figure out why my cat pukes with my vet. One reason is poaching the other cats' kidney diet. And they puke if they poach his. Sigh... This is why they get fed in different rooms and the food is taken away when they're done.
My cat had a lump on her side removed and the vet operated her and after they analysed the tumour they told me it was stage 2 cancer…they said she had certainly 12 to 14 months to live so it is very sad…i make sure she gets her favourite food and get all the rest she needs…and of course a lot of cuddles…she is only 9…the vet told me that it happens a lot to female cats who have been sterilised after their first heat…female cats should be sterilised before their first heat…i rescued her and she was already sterilised when i got her…is it true about what they said about the sterilisation??? Would be nice if you could let me know…Thanks for your videos they are very helpful!
5 years ago, I found a big bump on my cat's left cheek. It was pink, filled with liquid and was growing bigger. I was going to pop it, but decided to take him to the vet. Turned out it was cancer. After removal, Doc said cancer usually comes back in 2 years, told me to pay attention if discover any lumps in his body. 2 years later, I found a lump on his left leg, doc had me put warm cloth on him twice a day, if it goes away, then it's good, if not, it maybe bad and need surgery. The lump was gone after 2 weeks. another 2 years gone by, I found a solid lump right under his left ear, thought it was infection, tried to rub it with aloe leaf, after a month, it got bigger, I brought him to the vet. Doc said cat's doesn't usually grow things like that, if it does, usually it is not good, especially in the same area as the previous cancer. Because it was right under the ear, and grew in so deep, the surgery was much more difficult. I wish I brought him in as soon as I found the lump.
My 17 year old very lively cat suddenly stopped eating much. The vet did an ultrasound of her belly and even I as a lay person could see the multitude of tumors on her liver. The vet gave her a shot of steroids and she bounced right back. A month later, she was not eating again. Another round of steroids. She died about 3 weeks later. That was a number of years ago and I don't know whether any better treatment has been developed since then.
A lot of symptoms that are also present in humans. It's just harder to detect in animals in general because they can't speak. But we can learn to notice that something isn't right by being observant and learn to read their body language. Thank you for this video!
I gather it’s not just that cats can’t speak, but because their instinct is to hide all signs of pain as marking yourself as weak in the wild can get you killed…
I had a cat that had a skin cancer and had it removed and she.lived to be over 21. Also had another cat that kept having seizures and wouldn't eat and spent my time going back and forth between the emergency clinic and her regular vet and they couldn't figure it out. Last time she got a seizure I waited too long to get her to help and she died. 😢 And I only had her bill partially paid off from the other times.
Our Tinkerbell (spayed 11 yrs) had pancreatic Cancer. She had hiccups, fairly often in August (we thought it was weird) then it stops. About a month or so later, she was losing weight. We were on the middle of moving to another state, the new job wasn't working out and we really had no relationship with a local vet yet. As she got worse, we took her to a vet. The X-ray showed a weird looking bubbly mass where her primordial pouch should be. She didn't look that difference, the cancer mass took over the place of the pouch.
My 18 years old cat has a cyst on his side... It has broken before fluid & little blood. He became infected gave him shoot of antibiotics by vet, I changed his bandages twice at first then once a day for 5 months until it closed but cyst has come back as big as ever... it is extremely disappointing 😞 He is part abyassin (sp) and think as he is very high strung father was siamese (sp) Has tabby colouring (black & grey) 18lbs approx. but not oz of fat... reminds me of a horse way he stands... He learns fast & is so smart♡
Our 11 year old Himalayan/ragdoll boy had a tumour in his bladder. The signs were of a urinary blockage so he was treated for that, however he wasn’t healing. Blood in his urine, difficulty releasing urine on his own, started losing weight even though his appetite was normal and we were feeding him some extra. They couldn’t understand why he wasn’t healing and after 5 weeks did an ultrasound and found the tumour. If we would have known sooner, we wouldn’t have put him through all that. They could have removed it but the vet said that type of cancer often returns. He also had a heart condition making any surgery risky. RIP Ozzy 💙 🌈
Our 9 year old cat has thrown up for years. We have been to two different vets and they have run many tests on her and found nothing. Its always food or sometimes bile, never hairballs. We have elevated her food dish higher as well. We used to live in a house with black mold (and the company we rented from refused to do anything about it or even acknowledge that it WAS mold) and we wonder if that could be the cause, but we haven't lived there since 2020. We worry about our cat but we haven't found the cause yet.
I lost my cat to cancer (adipose). I had no idea until she stopped eating. She died on the way to the vet. Cats can be really good at hiding their illness.
We just had to put our Polly girl to sleep last week. She was a very heavy cat for most of her life at 12 yo. But she was healthy and happy. All of a sudden, she just stopped eating and drinking, this went on for 2 days until our vet could see her. The vet ran bloodwork that came back fine. they gave her fluids. Looking at her mouth, the vet thought her teeth were inflamed and that was the reason, i had my doubt i told her. Well she still ate nothing and drank no water the whole next day. Well, she got very weak and didn't want to move. We called the vet and she said bring her back. Well i told the vet i thought it was something other than her teeth because that wouldn't stop her from eating something and not starving herself. They decided to Xray her abdomen and the vet came back with bad news. Polly had an apple size tumor in her abdomen pressing on her stomach. There was nothing we could do for her. Polly had no symptoms at all to warn us. she just stopped eating like you turned off a switch.
My cat stopped eating about a week ago, took her to the vets and they found multiple masses in her abdomen. They suggested due to the cost of treatment (as I don't have insurance or on benefits) that the best treatment would be steroids and chlorambucil and if she doesn't start to eat then we need to discuss putting her to sleep. I'm heartbroken as I can't watch my cat wither away
I just spent 2500 bring my cat to the vet for them to tell me that he has something abnormal in his stomach. They did xray and ultrasound and cannot determine what it is. So now i have no diagnosis and a sick cat!!!
my cat is 17years old, diagnosed with eye tumour over the past 2 weeks. Its veryu advanced and has engulfed the eye. started with what appeared to be conjunctivitis and I was treating her for that over the past few months. Now its obvious. Vet told me its not recommended to do surgery on an old cat like that. And she gave recommended steroid eye drops. Which I've been using twice a day now, however the tumour is bleeding now also , not every day but often. Any advice please?
PLEASE ANSWER THIS. I’ve had my cat for 8 yrs now. I love her! But she has bald spots that are blotched with blood and some holes in her chin almost, she also has raspy breathing, and weight loss! WHAT IS THIS?? I DONT WANT TO LOOSE MY CAT WHO HAS BEEN WITH ME FOR MY HIGHS AND LOWS… PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!!!!!
Hi @salemonpawzz, we are so sorry to hear this. We would recommend taking her to your local veterinarian for a check up as soon as you can. We hope she makes a speedy recovery!
Getting our Smokie to the Vet is so traumatic we have stopped taking her. She limps when she walks but doesn't act like there is any pain when petting her. She also throws up periodically. No specific reason that we can see. Sometimes there is food or hairballs, but rarely. It always is full of bubbles. Cause for concern, or not?
Maybe ask the vet for a slight sedation for Smokie so you can take her to the vets office and get the limping checked out. Cats usually hide pain well from us.
The best purchases I made were 2 top opening & front opening carriers. I keep them out all year long with a blanket inside & my cats often take turns sleeping in them. They still don’t enjoy vet visits, but enticing them into the carriers has been much easier.
Thanks for these tips.

my cat has major weight loss, veterinary said today xrays showed a large mass in her abdomen and recently she has had 3 seizures in less than a month. i was going to wait until this saturday to euthanize her but she had another episode when we came home from the vet today.

I’m so very sorry for your loss of your cat. We went through this a few times. Very hard.
Do animal cancers tend to have more of an environmental cause or do we really know?
I am terrified but listening😣❤
Our beloved 19 year old developed cancer on her paw that the vet suspected was feline lung-digit syndrome. The vet suggested we use Pretty Litter because it was softer on her feet and caused less pain. That was a rough season. She had lots of chronic health problems but the most taxing on her was IBD.
Yes. My cat had that rare bone cancer in her back leg. She had the leg amputated, she's cancer free now. ❤️🤍❤️
The thymoma was completely removed and the lymph nodes tested and came back negative 🙏🏼
She had her first follow up and x-ray since the surgery and everything looked good 🙏🏼
Vomiting turned out to be my 14 year old cat's first sign of intestinal lymphoma.
My cat that was so special she felt like another creature, she died of cancer she only got to live 2 years... I still am depressed about the loss.
You gave them wonderful lives. I couldn't bear the loss 😢
Omgosh, I am crying with you and sending you many hugs.

Thanks for this series of clear and descriptive summaries of various cat cancer symptoms.
Wow, that vid had me all 🫣. Thanks for dropping the knowledge! Our fur babies deserve all the care. 🙏

Not cancer related but both of my boy cats had u. obstructions 2 years apart. I only knew what to look out for because it happened to my best friend’s cat.
This was very informative. I wish I could find a good Vet in my area.

Thank you so much for this, even though it was hard to watch.
Thank you for info my cat is 15 years is very healthy
Thank you for all the extremely informative wisdom!❤
My 17 year old very lively cat suddenly stopped eating much. The vet did an ultrasound of her belly and even I as a lay person could see the multitude of tumors on her liver. The vet gave her a shot of steroids and she bounced right back. A month later, she was not eating again. Another round of steroids. She died about 3 weeks later. That was a number of years ago and I don't know whether any better treatment has been developed since then.
Thanks for sharing, shared.

A lot of symptoms that are also present in humans. It's just harder to detect in animals in general because they can't speak. But we can learn to notice that something isn't right by being observant and learn to read their body language.

It’s very important that if you notice any warning signs of diseases or cancer yes get your cat checked
I wish we had a good vet
Everything I learn about cats makes my anxiety go ↗️↗️↗️↗️↗️.

Hi @salemonpawzz, we are so sorry to hear this. We would recommend taking her to your local veterinarian for a check up as soon as you can. We hope she makes a speedy recovery!
my cat has NONE of these signs and the vet says she has cancer.
