He's just really good at prompting them into a super relaxed state where they're highly suggestible to do things they normally would never do, let alone in front of a tv audience. Take the woman flinching for ex: she's so ready to just get up and dance she doesn't want to wait for the count. Hypnosis isn't bullshit, the popular conception of hypnosis as mind-control is.

Josh was likely not a good candidate, and the hypnotist wouldn't have chosen him if he had a choice. So, he wasn't hypnotized like the others. There's often people in the audience who get hypnotized even though they weren't chosen, but the vast majority of people (~95%) cannot be hypnotized.

Although this one is completely fake and in an unprofessional way that disgust me, in real hypnosis you don't "sleep" (like the deep sleep phase), it's a very awake state of sleep. A bid like the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phase during real sleep, a phase near waking up, also it's the phase where you actually dream and are very open for suggestions from outside, and also a phase where we move a lot. In the state of hypnosis you can move, esp. when feeling uncomfortable, you only wouldn't move if the hypnotists suggests you were frozen, a stone or something like that.

Some people do not trance as easily as others. As well as people just not falling into trance at all. It could have been on account of that but maybe they just weren't as willing to do and freaked out before.

One time I got hypnotized at a show, but I was in the audience. People on stage that couldn't fall into the trance were taken off stage and I was actually brought on stage. I've seen hypnotism before, and I believe it's real, just as I believe this is real. Every person acts different when under hypnosis, and it just so happens that a way you can tell is the 'sleep' phase. You can tell when someone's not hypnotized because their necks aren't completely loose. The hypnotist I saw actually went over and sort of pushed one of the hypnotized people's necks, and it just swung. It was completely just relaxed and limp. Here, those people are very similar - their body position is very limp. Even when falling asleep in a chair, people would not regularly slump like that and go all the way down. Thank you for this - it was very entertaining, and I loved it.

Yeah, It might be that Josh’s conscious mind, while he was awake, put up a stronger fight than his subconscious which is why he kept stopping commands. I.e Opening his mouth, stopped dancing etc.
Hypnotism is totally real. I agree that some people fake it to be in the shows but there are people out there that do get hypnotised by these things. I myself haven't been, but I know a few people that have. One of them gets hypnotised every time he goes to a show. His wife has to talk to him and poke at him during the audience wide relaxation/pre hypnotism exercises or he will fall under every time. I went to a show in Univeristy and one of my classmates was hypnotised. The guy was not faking it. No way he would have done the things he did during that show unless he was out. There was at least one girl during the show that was faking for sure but there were a bunch that were out. Some people that were hypnotised at the start, started coming out of it during parts of the show and the hypnotist would make them sit down. He was legit.

The girl in the black and white dress who was chosen but never came out to be "hypnotized" must have been honest to begin with about not having fallen into a trance. You can tell she was more intrigued then by the idea of actually getting hypnotized than just being put on the show to imitate a hypnotism. Right on.
It's a very funny feeling to be hypnotized. I got zwei session because of my fear of flying/airplanes and it worked so awesome. From vomiting and panic I lost my flight fear completely and flew all alone twice from europe to the USA. The feel of hypnosis I got is hard to describe..I was like in a dream mode. I could perceive the surroundings, I heard and saw everything, but it felt infinitely far away. Almost as if you were in tunnel vision and your consciousness was becoming more and more distant, as if you were about to faint. The only important thing for my brain was the voice and the "commands" of the hypnotist, everything else was completely irrelevant and worthless. A really interesting feeling, very memorable and special.
Let's be honest, it was pretty obviously fake. I mean the woman ruined it. The guys were okay. But she kept moving. And then she started lifting up too soon. And Josh opened his mouth a few times.

trust me its not fake. I never believed it was real until I was hypnotized. I was incredibly skeptical and I never believed someone could be hypnotized. I watched a few videos and I thought it was just people that didn't mind being on stage and doing silly things pretending to be hypnotized. Then it happened to me, I was terrified that it was fake and I was going to have to pretend to be doing all these embarrassing things in front of all these people, but I was truly hypnotized. I had no sense of normality and when asked to do dancing, air guitar etc it just seemed like a normal request from the hypnotist. We were told that the winners of the dancing would get to meet Kate Middleton and Prince Wills, and when i didn't win, and didn't get to meet 'kate and wills' (because of course they weren't there) I started hysterically crying in front of about 500 people. If I hadn't actually been hypnotized, there would have been no way I'd have been able to do any of the things we were asked. Very strange feeling, like being drunk and having this endless confidence, but without having drunk any alcohol. It''s very real, and totally crazy.
some people are harder to hypnotise than others, I don't know the science of it because I'm not a hypnotist. But Josh said himself he felt himself come in and out of the trance when he was on stage.

Hypnotism and hypnotherapy is a real thing. It's the state of your mind being so relaxed you do what they say because it is so relaxing. It doesn't work on all people however for many reasons. It won't work if you are stressed or don't wanna to do it, you have to trust the hypnotist. So hypnosis is real for anyone that doubts it, it is done as therapy to make people change something they want to change in life such as smoking and it works but not on all people.
My old math teacher does shows doing this exact thing. He also did it to some kids before but got in trouble lol it’s real and amazing to see live and done to someone you know that honestly didn’t believe it and it happened to him

Some people do not trance as easily as others. As well as people just not falling into trance at all. It could have been on account of that but maybe they just weren't as willing to do and freaked out before.
+NICROMIN Pretty much what Lizzy said. Some people can be hypnotized and some can't. It also depends on how much you tried concentrating. One time I got hypnotized at a show, but I was in the audience. People on stage that couldn't fall into the trance were taken off stage and I was actually brought on stage. It was very strange, but I think I had fun lol

it's one of those things that unless it's done on me, I am never going to believe it.
I've seen hypnotism before, and I believe it's real, just as I believe this is real. Every person acts different when under hypnosis, and it just so happens that a way you can tell is the 'sleep' phase. You can tell when someone's not hypnotized because their necks aren't completely loose. The hypnotist I saw actually went over and sort of pushed one of the hypnotized people's necks, and it just swung. It was completely just relaxed and limp. Here, those people are very similar - their body position is very limp. Even when falling asleep in a chair, people would not regularly slump like that and go all the way down. Thank you for this - it was very entertaining, and I loved it.

Yeah, It might be that Josh’s conscious mind, while he was awake, put up a stronger fight than his subconscious which is why he kept stopping commands. I.e Opening his mouth, stopped dancing etc.

Hypnotism is totally real. I agree that some people fake it to be in the shows but there are people out there that do get hypnotised by these things. I myself haven't been, but I know a few people that have. One of them gets hypnotised every time he goes to a show. His wife has to talk to him and poke at him during the audience wide relaxation/pre hypnotism exercises or he will fall under every time. I went to a show in Univeristy and one of my classmates was hypnotised. The guy was not faking it. No way he would have done the things he did during that show unless he was out. There was at least one girl during the show that was faking for sure but there were a bunch that were out. Some people that were hypnotised at the start, started coming out of it during parts of the show and the hypnotist would make them sit down. He was legit.

You can tell she was more intrigued then by the idea of actually getting hypnotized than just being put on the show to imitate a hypnotism. Right on.

It's a very funny feeling to be hypnotized. I got zwei session because of my fear of flying/airplanes and it worked so awesome. From vomiting and panic I lost my flight fear completely and flew all alone twice from europe to the USA. The feel of hypnosis I got is hard to describe..I was like in a dream mode. I could perceive the surroundings, I heard and saw everything, but it felt infinitely far away. Almost as if you were in tunnel vision and your consciousness was becoming more and more distant, as if you were about to faint. The only important thing for my brain was the voice and the "commands" of the hypnotist, everything else was completely irrelevant and worthless. A really interesting feeling, very memorable and special.

trust me its not fake. I never believed it was real until I was hypnotized. I was incredibly skeptical and I never believed someone could be hypnotized. I watched a few videos and I thought it was just people that didn't mind being on stage and doing silly things pretending to be hypnotized. Then it happened to me, I was terrified that it was fake and I was going to have to pretend to be doing all these embarrassing things in front of all these people, but I was truly hypnotized. I had no sense of normality and when asked to do dancing, air guitar etc it just seemed like a normal request from the hypnotist. We were told that the winners of the dancing would get to meet Kate Middleton and Prince Wills, and when i didn't win, and didn't get to meet 'kate and wills' (because of course they weren't there) I started hysterically crying in front of about 500 people. If I hadn't actually been hypnotized, there would have been no way I'd have been able to do any of the things we were asked. Very strange feeling, like being drunk and having this endless confidence, but without having drunk any alcohol. It''s very real, and totally crazy.

some people are harder to hypnotise than others, I don't know the science of it because I'm not a hypnotist. But Josh said himself he felt himself come in and out of the trance when he was on stage.

Hypnotism and hypnotherapy is a real thing. It's the state of your mind being so relaxed you do what they say because it is so relaxing. It doesn't work on all people however for many reasons. It won't work if you are stressed or don't wanna to do it, you have to trust the hypnotist. So hypnosis is real for anyone that doubts it, it is done as therapy to make people change something they want to change in life such as smoking and it works but not on all people.
