- A huge thank you to the University of Texas Longhorns for bringing me out for an afternoon of fun with the team. I hypnotized and mesmerized several members of the football team and everyone loved it!

I wouldn't be surprised people get hypnotized to do their crimes and mastermind get away from it.

if you don’t want to get hypnotized you can’t. period. but if you just let it happen and like listen to the person hypnotizing you then yes you can. some people may be more susceptible than others but everyone can be hypnotized to a certain degree

Why this works on stage (and ONLY on stage) is, because the person being „hypnotized“ feels if he doesn’t follow the commands he will embarrass himself or the „hypnotizer“ and also peer pressure.
If you actually think you... YOURSELF can be hypnotized by a random dude speaking something really fast into your ear for 2 seconds and touching your forehead ... taking over full control over you, then you must be very naive lol

Whats the science behind it? I've been to a hypnotism show and it was so weird seeing people i know pretend theyre a sunflower. I thought they were faking but they weren't.

Very simple example : have you ever buy something that you don't need just because salesman told you to buy their stuff..? then after you buy it you regret it..? just like that, it basic simple way how to hipnotize people to buy something. but what salesman / marketer do is very basic hipnotize skill.
