    Much of the information in this video has been researched and put together by my fellow phyiscal culturist Jeronimo Milo from Argentina. He is so kind to share it with me and gave me permission to use his material in our videos. You find his book "Kettlebell Secret Files" here -> jeronimomilo.com.ar/tienda/videos/kettlebell-secret-files/ - Gregory

      thank you for the link. I am also using steel mace for my fitness. Putting together these studies and adapting the tools will open up new doors from the old school.

      Jerónimo Milo is THE NAME in all-kettlebells-things here in Argentina, hands down.

    Although I’ve seen black and white photographs of some of these old school kettlebell exercises, this is the first instructional vid I’ve seen on them, and the historical background is a nice touch! Thank you for sharing!

      @@lebe-stark It's such a fickle movement. Some days it seems to flow, others, not so much. Your form is definitely something to aspire to 🙌🏼

    Super fun, always great to play with some olde tyme movements. Enjoyed the history lesson very much, cheers.
    I've also seen versions of the Saxon swing movement that start with the db in more of what you call "the triangle" a bit in front of the feet and use the split footwork from olympic lifting for the catch.

    i have been doing the Milos Press for a while and have not found anything anywhere recommending it. I find i get a great upper body workout when i do it. Do you think it is a great press movement to mix into your kettlebell training?

    Lene Stark I need your help please 😢. I love kettlebell and I think my technique is not that Bad, but, every time I swing the KB, my forearm just rub against my thighs. It rapidely become painful.
    PS: I have quite Big muscular thighs, but still...
    Thank you for your help 🙏

    • @lebe-stark
      @lebe-stark  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a rule we follow Julien. When swinging, try to follow the so called "middle line" of your body. Int that way, the kettlebell should not crash on your thighs. If that doesn't help, try to stand a little bit wider and see how that goes. - Gregory

    You say you have never seen someone doing the milo press
    I have seen it recently in Сергей каширин TH-cam channel
    He is a good guy and a real street fitness , calisthenics and girevoy fitness man from Russia , check him out 👍🌻

    • @dorianfoley6047
      @dorianfoley6047 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fellow behind the ATLETIZM channel (Igor I think his name is, also from Russia) uses it as well as his standard two-hand single kb pressing movement.

    Training goes bit farther back than that.
    I think viking age people carried rocks for example and did log lifts

      Most definitely. I'm referring to recorded evidence, that I was exposed to.
