We never got a low pass like this when I was down range but let me tell those of you who have never deployed this. When you hear the whistle of those A10’s and know they are on your side and will do anything they can to help, there is no better sound. Same with the 22’s. Those pilots don’t get enough credit for their part in saving our brothers and sisters and being there for us in the worst/best times.
I'd hazard to say that one day, the sound of the A-10's engines will end up rivaling the distinctiveness of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engines that so many WW2 warbirds had been installed with.
