We are soooo jealous. We had a nice garden started with several rows of corn. Then I had to have shoulder surgery. If you neglect a garden it will certainly neglect you come harvest time. The deer appreciated our initial efforts but that proved the be the extent of the most of our harvesters. We did get some peppers and jalapeños and tomatoes but that was pretty much it this year. Here's to next year's harvest and crossing fingers we can find good canned veggies and good farmers' markets in the interim. Keep up the good work! We tune in just to see what you guys have going on. Kinda like catching up with the neighbors as it were. God Bless young man.

We tried something similar last year but the corn was mush when we boiled it. We took all the silk off from the top and the first layer or two of leaves. Then placed them in the freezer. Your corn looks so good! -Dayna
Need to shoe and explain how to cook the corn after freezing it. Do you thaw it and then cook in microwave.
I wonder if an electric carving knife would work?
I had great corn for a few years and then corn boar became a problem.
