Nice scope! From the official website information, we can see that this NV500 has a huge innovation, that is, changing the lens, which is more suitable for use in multiple scenarios.
Looks just as good as my NV400 at half the size and weight. Now to try and justify the purchase cost. Oneleaf are really leading the way as far as bang per buck is concerned..
Should check out the Arken zulu. Great quality and price. Went with it over the NV400 due to weight and size. Maybe the Nv500 is better . Yet not sure what the price is yet .
The price is on their website, the NV500 is much lighter, though to be honest the NV400 wasn't that much different in weight to my Hikmicro 4K LRF with the illuminator fitted. Hope that helps.
Get ya skates on Karl with the review. I’ve got a T1x in 17hmr and I’m thinking of a digital day/night scope and this might just fit the bill. Only problem is I’m not a huge fan of the mounting rail. Be interesting to see how high it will sit. Cracking daytime image, on your video it looks as good as the 4k Alpex?.. your channel is not good for my bank balance. I’ll have to convince the Boss I need one of these. 🤔.. keep them coming mate👍
As you know Steve I need to use it for a while to see if it has any problems but I'll get some night footage out as soon as I can. The daytime picture I think is better than my Alpex 4K. I may do a video of them side by side for comparison. The scope sits at a perfect height on my FX DRS . The rail doesn't make the scope sit high up and as long as a rifle has a full pic rail it will be fairly easy to get the correct eye relief etc. I just wish they had made the mounts quick release, though they might bring one out as an accessory if enough people ask for it. It will be on the rifle in the next video so you can see the height better then. For now you can watch the interest just mount up on your bank balance 😂 👍🏻
I'm not sure on Australian law certain lasers are allowed in certain countries depending on the class of laser. Yes the picture is really good and at long range. The scope audio recording is excellent, while showing scope footage on the video my voice was recorded on the scope as well.
Great, I couldn't see any difference at all through the eyepiece and not much when on a full sized screen. I am waiting for them to send me another lens, this one has an adjustable aperture so it will take away the need for the sunshade 👍🏻
Thanks for the comment, I can only speak as I saw through the viewfinder and the image was very good as you heard me say while I was using it. If your eye can tell the difference between 1080P and 4K with a 0.4inch panel then you have some fantastic eyes. 🙂 Where it counts for zoom is when viewing on a larger screen, and this is where the 4K recording comes in an you don't see any loss in quality of picture.
@@mfloutdoors I own Arken Zulus which uses 1080P for both sensor and the display with 5X base magnification with digital zoom can go up to 20X. I can tell the slight image degradation at high magnification like 15X or more. This scope display is lower than 1080P which is why I brought this up. Having said that I am more concerned with night performance and I was hoping to see that in this video. Would love to see both color and black and white image at night with or without IR.
Unfortunately any digital scope 4K or otherwise will pixilate at high magnification. I will be doing footage of the scope at night while I am at work, the NV400 had a good night picture so I'm hoping this will be good as well, but we won't know that until I use it, I will let you all see the footage though so you can make up your own mind. 👍🏻
Yes I don't like the look of the sunshade but I don't use it and it doesn't seem to make much difference to the picture. I'm looking forward to Oneleaf sending me the other lens as it has an aperture adjuster built in so there will be no need for the sun shade. Thanks for commenting 👍🏻
Agree on the quick release, would love if they sell it as an accessory in the future
You never know they may do it in the future.

Yes it's a good scope, especially with what you get for the price range it is in. Thanks for commenting.

Yes they are coming on, they have certainly addressed the size and weight issue. Thanks for watching and hope you found it informative.

nice review
Thanks appreciate it 👍🏻

That day vision is very respectable. The laser wont be allowed in Australia as i am pretty sure they are illegal

sunshade did make a difference "more contrast" looked better

Hi looking forward to see how it performs at night?
That will be coming up soon Chris 👍🏻
Although it has 4K sensor, the display resolution is less than 1080P. So high zoom probably won't look good in real time.

Sunshade looks like an afterthought, looks awful
