Original description:
Today I present you my very first upload. This is a PBS commercial break from the Dallas/Fort Worth station. I know VCRchivist already has most of these uploaded so it really isn't as exciting as it should be, but I thought I'd go on ahead and give it an upload. This was between Arthur and The Magic School Bus. The following content here is:
~ The ending of Arthur, World's Greatest Gleeper (probably should have cut this out, but whatever)
~ Online/library bumper
~ Closing Credits
~ Funding Credits (First the standard ones, then Polaroid, then Juicy Juice, and finally Baby Gap)

~ The Game bumper (This one is actually slightly extended compared to the one on VCRchivist's channel -- it has a bit where the gum character splats on the screen)

KERA was my first PBS station as a child.
Correct me if I’m wrong but think the line up on KERA’s airing of “The Game” that time consisted of:
Arthur
The Magic School Bus
Wishbone
Bill Nye the Science Guy
“Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?”
(I couldn’t remember what aired before Arthur and after WITICS)

This must be early in the morning. On WHYY I know that Arthur used to be at 8 o clock and the magic school bus aired right after.
I doubt it, I can't imagine this wasn't an afternoon thing. Besides, PBS member stations don't operate on the same schedules.
I don't know, it's just a guess. But a lot of people do say magic school bus aired after arthur so I guess stations did keep that going just at different times.

I find it funny that they split the preteen and preschool stuff off in two cases. Seems they weren't quite able to make up their minds on how they wanted the kid content sorted.

Phoebe Wan Kenobi It don't get any better with the animation anymore! First, Arthur started with Cinar for about eight seasons or eight years from 1996 to 2003. Cookie Jar took over for Arthur's ninth season from 2004 to about 2012 and finally it was 9Story for season sixteen. The first two seasons of _Arthur_ was distributed by WGBH Boston in 1997 and by 1998 Boston was removed and it entirely became WGBH again.
But it's been on too long.
That's interesting I didn't know they changed it from WGBH Boston to WGBH.

I'll go ahead and copy/paste a comment I made to another user that asked the same question...
That's a good question!
So, actually, I capture interlaced, so the original source video is technically 480i; a lot of people get confused by this because most video editors only deinterlace by using blending tricks or whatnot. What I do is go into VirtualDub, stick my source file in there, and then add a deinterlacing filter; I believe I do yadif as my algorithm (which is seen as the definitive best one, but your mileage may vary), and set it to "double frame rate, top field first". This outputs the video to a 480p 60fps file; from there, I go into my video editor and upscale it to 720p60 since TH-cam doesn't support 60fps at 480p or lower (and make sure you're rendering to 960x720 resolution, don't do 1280x720; you want to preserve the original aspect ratio!). That way you get a video that is viewable good and well as it was intended to on TH-cam; it's a kludge, but it gets the job done.
If you're only viewing the video on your computer, this should not be necessary. VLC Media Player has a nice deinterlace option for it and includes the yadif 2x algorithm; some files it gets the field order wrong on, but it generally gets the job done well. And it's actually discouraged to convert the video because in all technicality, the interlaced version is the definitive original and converting it can cause annoyances; TVs are supposed to take care of a lot of it anyway!
