How utterly amazing! I must click on the link and find out more! Once during a Halloween event at Preston Manor I had a go with their sticks. I must admit I was initially very sceptical so therefore volunteered to have a go holding the sticks to see for myself if it was real, or not. I asked the ghost several questions and found out that he had been murdered by someone using a knife, that he was in his twenties when he died, he had lived in the house all his life, and he still lives their! OMG I was totally shocked by the result! Our ancestors knew much more about these various energy forces and energy lines. Today’s scientists should investigate this further as it might help us improve our mental and physical health and well-being👍

I had a go at this many years ago using coat hangers, each one inserted into an empty biro casing in each hand so that the rods could swing more easily and so that my hands could not influence them either consciously or unconsciously. It worked - the rods did move on their own!

Yes I used exactly the same coat hanger / empty biro casing method , probably about 40 years ago as a teenager . I wanted to test if there was anything in this dowsing malarkey and tried it out in a farmers field with a cattle trough which must have been fed by an underground pipe as it had a mechanism that let it refill when the water level dropped.Having made no one was around as I felt a bit of a wally, I walked around it and the rods did cross at a certain point , repeating the process they always seemed to cross at the same location. I didn't dig a hole to see if the pipe was in that spot which I guess would have been a better test.

I work for united utilities and when all of our technical stuff doesn't find a leak, we use these as a final attempt. And it does work.

I was open minded but far from convinced there was anything in it until I had a go. I always thought that people were manipulating the rods but when I had a go. I knew I wasn't consciously making them move. The consistency of the results surprised me. I was told by someone that some oil companies employ dowsers-he claimed to be paid a lot of money to help them find oil. I cannot say whether any of that were true. I'll have a watch of Marq's videos-an interesting subject -another enjoyable video Richard thanks.

Dowsing is great fun. I bought my rods from the Ashdown Forest Visitor's Centre about 15-years ago.
I knew a chap in Nutley, part of who's living came from dowsing for water for farmers so they could accurately sink boreholes for a water supply. He found an energy crossing point on his own land and actually built himself a stone circle on that node. A nearby underground water channel then moved, by itself, to also run under the newly build circle!

I’m often quite cynical about stuff like this; however I know that Marq is a sceptic about many paranormal things so I keep an open mind on dowsing as I don’t think he’s making this up! Interesting video.

It works but not always and not alway perfect. Some days it may work an other day not. Maybe your not concentraded that day don't know. So for science it is dufficult. But the days it works it is amazing to feel it.

Me Too! An example for everyday use is that I had lost something in the house and spent day looking for it. The next day I sat down in my office to ask question about something else and before I even had the thought my rods crossed in front of me I was moved to look up and there the thing I lost the day before was up on top of the clothes rack!

People seem to swear by it, so perhaps there is something in it.

  • @WiltshireMan

This flies in the face of all our senses. I would like to know more about "who or what" if anything is being spoken to and who or what if anything is making the rods move.
The bible warns us be stay away from divination, however that being said I am an aesthetic Christian if such a thing is possible and I have dabbled in the past with a couple of coat hangers and I got results. I even once found our missing dog that went out for a prowl! So I do believe there is something in this but I would like to understand exactly what is happening. Perhaps this reality is bigger than the 5 senses would have us believe~!

Someone gave me a go with copper dowsing rods, which had the short end enclosed in a copper tube, so no opportunity for subconscious twisting. To make sure, I pointed the long part of the rod down by 20 degrees, so any movement would have to overcome the weight of the rod. Nevertheless, the rods crossed each other at one point. I reversed my steps, and the same thing happened at the same place. Curious stuff.
I have no strong feelings on the nature of the force, if indeed it exists, though I suspect the energy is in the mind, not the land.

hello, did you either put material inside so that the bars do not fall into metal or mineral? Or do you use holding techniques that save them from them? Are there any samples in it to find valuable? Bars for metal for space give different results, can you read those shapes? Do some research or you will never succeed.

I have studied Religion, and all things Spiritual for 50 years , led me down some very odd pathways, however I have some very radical thoughts on the above . a few get quite upset when their percieved beliefs are challenged . others think I should write a book, glad it didn,t upset you Peter

We stayed on a working farm a few years ago which was also ran as a guest house by an elderly couple . The farmer's wife was a dowser and her husband told us how she'd found a ring lost by one of their guests . She asked where the couple had been during the day then used a map on the table with her dowsing gear which directed her to the location of their farm. They then went outside and found the ring near where their car was parked .
I think this lady said she used a pendulum rather than rods ?
