Mike, love the vids. Keep them coming! When you shot the V3X 29 the db was 93.3 and the Phase 4 is 93.8... Slightly louder. Interesting - with the new stabilizer system and the new damping directly in the limbs -- you would think the P4 would 2 to 4 dbs quitter. I have the V3X 29. My first Mathews bow, ever! Been a Hoyt and Prime guy. But, I have to say, Mathews kicked it out of the park with the V3X and, it appears to be as quit, if not, slightly quitter than the P4 without the cost with the new bridge lock stabilizers --- does not seem to be a big enough jump. But, overall, the Mathews line is fantastic!
I just looked at his review of the Bear Execute 32 he did and the DB rating was 93.9. Kinda crazy for a bow built to be supposedly quieter than the rest. It is not that much quieter.
So the Phase 4 is supposed to be Mathews quietest and most vibration free bow they have made but on your videos from last year the V3x was 93.3 so it is actually quieter than the phase 4 and it is about $200 more
what i see mikes Vid with the V3x29 is 94.1 - vs Phase 4 93.8 ... but what ever - If i would remember exactly Mathews say something arround 30% ? So in fact this is just a lie and technicaly atm impossible ! And for all this Guys they say its noticable quider - croncrates ! Your a Dog 🤣 The Human Ear biological cant hear a different in a 3 dezibel range 😉 In my opinion - Mathews creates sollutions where never Problems exists. A 5/16 24 Screw brings way more torgue to bound the Components (Stab-Riser) than a little Screw what press the Stab in fact in ONE Edge (view from the front) of this machined Cutouts. And who the hell needs to slide a Stab from 12 to 11 or 9 inch ??? Are your sidebar in an angle outwards you dont can slide de Backbar in because it stops at the riser 😉. Oh and angle down ?? Ups - lost some ?🤔 Oh yess less moving parts right ? Hell the Stabi weights have double parts with the inner Pin to lock all together ... Sorry Mathews - this Year is a Bad Joke .... Eeeeasy Pass 🙌
Great guys at Mike's archery man and that is part of the whole experience they will help you find what you need or just sell you what you want no pressure at all and will let you shoot whatever you want to find it I guess it's all bout what you want but whatever it is you won't find better ppl than those guys
750$ for the bars and mount, and 20$ per additional weight is a bargain. I’d like to see a straight up comparison of their bridgelock stabilizers vs a normal set of stabilizers.
So how is it the V3X you tested was 93.3 but the phase 4 was 93.8 decibels? Isn't the whole idea of the rubber between the limbs to quite it down more then last year?
What about us short armed fellas?.. like 24"-ish draws? I shoot a Mission right now for that reason. I would really like to get into one of these higher end bows. Is there some tuning that i can do to increase my length? Example- thumb release over wrist strap, or shortening D-loop?..
Math explains - last year v3x is dead in the hand and super quiet- phase 4 ist 30% quieter - 30% from nothing is nothing- therefore you can’t notice a difference. 😅
Could the decibel reader be picking up the sound of the arrow hitting the target as well? I think it would be better if you tested it outside and shot into a bank or something from like 30 yards away.
I just saw the v3x review you did and the phase 4 are identical when it comes to noise level and a bit faster then the phase 4. So I’m not sold on phase4
Never thought I would see the day when every review of every new bow and every marketing ploy used the word "dead" or "dead in hand" so many times. I'm amazed we even were able to kill animals with a bow 40yrs ago. Especially without the recoil hurting us..🙄
As other viewers have commented your previous decibel ratings were 93.9, 93.3 on Execute & V3X respectively. Phase 4 was 93.8. A follow up video focused on comparing decibel ratings of each & your comments would be helpful. Otherwise your just doing a commercial for Mathews and your credibility is in question.
With all these bells and whistles ... with all that technology and all the hoopla... the speeds are no better nor any worse than bows from 3 years ago and they cost less. I guess what Im getting at is ... how much is enough? Other than wanting the top of the line, brand spanking new, right off the assembly line. ... Why?? For the cost of some out of state hunts. ???
Mike, I really like your reviews, but this seems pretty disingenuous. The Bear Execute 32, by your review is several fps faster with higher letoff than the Mathews. The decibel reading on the Bear is 93.9 bare bow and 93.8 on the Mathews completely loaded with all their stabilizers. Why not do apples to apples? If you removed everything from the Mathews I'm certain it wouldn't beat the lowly old Bear in any category! Maybe remove all the stabilization and compare it to last year's V3X and see if there is any difference?
If you actually watched the video you would here us state that we shot all our testing numbers with the Mathews stripped down. You see one shot out of a few hundred that we take while putting a review together.
Fix the grip and put better string set on it. Then hide under a rock and pretend you never tried to charge $700 for stabs. Bridge lock sold me on the V3X and it has been nothing but a pain in the ass. Elite Omnia is looking like a waaaay better choice.
@@MatthewC137 so we shouldn’t call out Mathew’s for selling two stabilizers and a mounting bracket for $700? You don’t think that’s a little ridiculous?
@@zimks The fact that Mathews can sell such accessories says that the prices are not ridiculous to everyone. I have a V3X 33 with the "overpriced" quiver but chose the Titanium Archery Products stabilizers for under $300 because I think they're a better value than what Mathews offers. So I agree with you but a lot of people don't. If the price of the accessories ever drops or they get discontinued then we will know objectively that they were indeed ridiculous and that few were buying. I'm glad there's a market for expensive things in areas that interest me because it makes the whole sector better even if I can't or won't pay up for them. The improvements always find their way into the lower priced goods. It doesn't matter if we're talking bows, cars or TVs, the best new technology gets adopted by all players. Low priced bows today are better than the highest priced bows of 30 years ago. A $500 tv today is better than ones that cost over $10,000 25 years ago. The first microwaves and VCRs were very expensive but we all benefitted from the fact that there were enough people willing to buy them because those early adopters helped to make them available to everyone at a lower price. That's my long-winded way of saying that I am for the free market because we're all much worse off when people (like politicians) interfere based on the false notion that anyone can or should attempt to manipulate/control us arbitrarily.

Yepp - looked it up. His video proved that v3x is quieter. And it worries me how the rubber will hold up

Your review of the V3X 29 the decibel meter was 93.3. This bow is 93.8. How exactly is this bow quieter when your equipment says that's not so?

rhars wht she said
Are you guys gonna do a review on the Elite Omnia?
bear execute vs phase 4 which is better choice?
So how is it the V3X you tested was 93.3 but the phase 4 was 93.8 decibels? Isn't the whole idea of the rubber between the limbs to quite it down more then last year?
My dealer up charged me $50 for the solid color option. Is that correct?
Shot a new mathews last year. I wasn't a fan of the grip how it felt either. Ended up buying Solution SS

So what was the decibel reading stock like you test all other bows ?

What color is the bow in this review?
Could the decibel reader be picking up the sound of the arrow hitting the target as well? I think it would be better if you tested it outside and shot into a bank or something from like 30 yards away.
Yep. They usually measure peaks, and I assume the arrow hitting the target up close would be the loudest.
just looking at it hurts my shoulders they should make a creed 32 but with 2 cams with a z3 riser
Mike how can ya say it’s more quiet and dead than ever when your review of the 29x gave 93.3 decibels and this new one is 93.8 ? It seems louder
It’s picking up the smack of target. There are other reviews that show it being several decibels quieter than this yrs bow and the vx3
Is that set on the 28.5 setting to get 28 7/8 draw length? Or on the 29 inch setting, getting 29.50 draw length? Right at 70 lbs Mike
I just saw the v3x review you did and the phase 4 are identical when it comes to noise level and a bit faster then the phase 4. So I’m not sold on phase4
Is there any concern with the rubber between the limbs wearing out and if so can it be replaced?
It is a slab of rubber sandwiched between so I’d imagine if it somehow did wear out it would be simple enough to replace
Wow. It's not any quieter than the Bear execute. If I remember correctly it had a decimal reading of 93.9
Never thought I would see the day when every review of every new bow and every marketing ploy used the word "dead" or "dead in hand" so many times. I'm amazed we even were able to kill animals with a bow 40yrs ago. Especially without the recoil hurting us..🙄

Odd only 1.5 decibel quieter than the Hoyt

JOKE. Do you trust your equipment? Bc according to it, last years how is quieter. And the bear is as quiet lol

To get a fully loaded Mathew’s bow you are spending over 3k, what a joke
Absolutely ridiculous!
There are plenty of cheap bows out there so you can still get what you want.

Not a good review, more marketing sorry
The name sucks.
