We managed to cook our own food in a Pakistani restaurant in Karachi, Pakistan. How is this even possible?
We headed to a restaurant on the outskirts of Karachi to a place called Khan Saab. This restaurant is popular in Karachi and seats hundreds of people at once. They serve a variety of dishes ...but the ingredients of these dishes are kept a secret!

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming presence and escorted to our beautifully decorated table. They started us off with amazing cheesy fries before taking us to the kitchen for us to cook our very own meals.
First up was me (Leanne). I began cooking what they call a Chapli Kabab, and if I am being honest, I was quite nervous. This is a simple dish to make as it's basically an amazingly spiced ball of meat that needs to be squished on a sizzling pan until it's in the shape of a patty. Once Squished, I had to slowly lower the patty into hot boiling oil for the patty to cook. I then had to flip the patty once, for it to cook evenly, and take it out when it was completely fried.
Next was Daniel. He seemed quite excited to be cooking his meal, but it was way more complicated than mine. He made two dishes; one was called Bahari Boti and the other Chicken Tikka, and it was done via a braai method (Dan's Favourite).
Bahari Boti is spiced pieces of meat that are put onto a skewer and then hung above hot coals, whereas Chicken Tikka is a half chicken prepared with tikka spice and placed over hot coals.
Danny had no idea how to prepare these dishes, and no one was really guiding him on how to do it. It was hilarious to watch.
After cooking our meals, we headed to our table to give these dishes a try. We were amazed!! The flavour of all these dishes was outstanding. And the spices attached to every bite made our taste buds dance. And of course, in true Buddymoon style, we could not eat this without a competition of "Who cooked the better meal?"

bihari boti originates from the muslim community from bihar & Jharkhand, India. Prepared from long & thin strings of beef shanks marinated in raw papaya(tenderizer), poppy seed paste, fried onion paste, salt, pepper, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder. marinated overnight. the beef gets so tender that even by hand you can pull the meat strands apart. its cooked over slow charcoal flame till the masala dries up (basted over with beef fat). Most commonly eated in bihar with whole wheat parathas and onion salad.

I would recommend you to eat chicken mayo garlic roll which is not spicy and if you wantto eat western food plz go to lucky one mall its the biggest shopping mall in Karachi, and if you want to meet modern or peoples like you go to clifton or defence area and also dolmen city mall clifton area

I've never seen the Pakistan people in this light. I didn't even know they have restaurants and regular stuff there.
