WHEELHORSE 314-8 2001 MODEL

So this is a 2001 314-8 wheelhorse. I am working on it for the original owner. It seems it was burning through gas like no tomorrow. I believe I solved that issue. I gave it a tune up, and new carburetor the original wasn't working very well and was gummed up because of our fine ethanol fuel. I tried a new fuel pump because the old one seemed weak but after some knock er loose and working it that seemed to bring it back around. I highly recommend just taking the diaphragm from a new pump and using the stock pump. the new ones with the plastic ends are a joke. I had more of a fight with the new pump and it leaked like crazy. so back on went the original one. 😂 It also has an oil leak not sure where from because it isn't burning oil. So I added a dab of at-205 to the oil when I changed it. Also if you can try to use the original carburetor because the new ones have no adjustments except for idle speed. This came from Harmony outdoor equipment in Auburn Indiana when it was new. To bad Toro doesn't make these anymore. If you find one snatch it up these are so much better than anything new of this size you will ever buy I guarantee that. Also be careful if changing the fuel pump it is easy to strip the holes in the block and some of these came with messed up threads. this one when I took the bolts out threads came off with the bolts.
