I noticed everybody talks about same topic, website, equipment, how and where to get leads. but nothing about what license or permits is required to operate business and where to get them? No information on website!
57 years old and never been in debt! I'm helping my grandson start a junk business so he will be set! He has worked for me in a few different businesses since he was 8 years old. He bought his pickup with cash and I've taught him to always pay cash for everything. The day he graduated, he became 49% owner of my current business but it is not a business that will last him 40 years so I'm getting him in to the junk business. Hopefully 2023 treats you well!
Great advice! I’m in the same area as you guys are! I’m finding out that getting your presence out there is the hardest part and it doesn’t help that google has thrown a lot of obstacles to get verified on the my business part .

2012 ram 1500 5.7V8. Do you have a seperate cell phone for the business, ive followed your steps and im at the point where my google my business is up but the ohone number is my personal cell. Not sure thats the best but i dont have a lot of money to get a business phone line yet, but should i add a line to my cell phone plan?
Great... great informative video and you should get award for this as well, but if not.... you have my thumbs up for sure. I do have a question, there are soo many things that junk removal businesses pick up that is not allowed at your average landfill. How do you find out where to dump your junk, chemicals, concrete, aluminum appliances grills etc? In N.y. the weigh station does not take much of anything near me in Albany. I tried to look online and there is soo many restrictions on each type of waste depot that you have to haul to 3 or 4 different spots. The people at these places are not helpful and just want your business and do not offer any type of info on outsourcing if i were to ask "where can i take cinder blocks or where can i take these paint cans" they usually say you can google it. Well, i must not be typing in the right key words because google onlly gives me the 2 places I went to already that don't take much of anything. Not even light bulbs or a small computer screen. Please, can you give me tips on how you were to find places to take your junk haul to and dump. I guess pretend you are going to do work in N.Y. Thank you so much and this helps greatly so far.
You said you can't find good help, but you gave the answer of why. People not being paid enough. Or unhappy. If you paid people more , or offered benefits, then you'd have plenty of help. I have a main job, but have quietly quit for about a year now. Not being paid enough for how good I am. All of these companies are cheap or treat you like a number. Appreciate the info.
How does , lets say a young adult last a year out in life without work ? unemployment? or maybe a rich family or rich girlfriend? i want to know the secret. cause if ican survive taking a year off, i am totally going for it. thanks
If you have quietly quit you are the one losing. If you are sharp and hardworking, get something higher paying..don't ever take your foot off the accelerator. By quietly quitting, you may feel better about where you work but trust me, you're the one losing. You want to develop yourself and if that means leaving, do it.

That depends by state. How is he going to cover every state? If you cant google that yourself, then you have no business being in business.

How did you go about pricing jobs? I am just starting out and doing it out of my truck bed and don't have a trailer or dump trailer.
I charge 150 for my pick up loads if it’s easy. More labor I charge more.
