Morris Traveller Gearbox & Clutch Slave Conversion Saga Part 3

I am very quickly losing my affection for the Morris 1000s as this gearbox conversion on the clutch slave cylinder is turning in to a bit of a nightmare. a job that should have taken 4 hours or so is turning in to a week of not being able to use my ramp for the Jaguar XK rebuild.
Very frustrating indeed.

Doug, That's why I took the job on thinking it was a doddle🤔🤥 When I saw the condition of the pressure plate I thought it‘s a simple change Yep Right!
It was only afterwards when I could see the fork arm was pivoting wrongly that it all started to cascade in a bun fight😂 Cheers Dave

Really like watching your videos BUT running a lathe without safety glasses That is not very smart !!!! Remember " STUPID HURTS" !!!!!!! I have that sign at all the machines in my shop !!!!

Mike, Your right but I was so desperate to get the spacer made and it was a Sunday night so I wasn't going to query my pitch and tell him to put on
safety glasses that's for sure. You may have noticed I zoom in and didn't stand too close to the lathe🤔🤫 Cheers Dave

Fit a Mazda five speed with a out board slave cylinder

Graham, It‘s not my car it belongs to a friend and it had an external slave cylinder and a home made fork arm which you can see in an early video, But the fork arm
in my opinion was not set up right and caused premature wear on the pressure plate fingers. Bernard the owner bought this slave kit which has been used on the Ford Sierra gearboxes before. If you watch part 1 & 2 you will see what I mean. Cheers Dave
