Dude... 4 years ago, I signed up for a boxing match during an event. I never boxed before. I watched all of your videos and did some sparring with a good friend of mine.
I did very well during the match. I lost the fight based on referee’s decision.
My opponent had several matches, and been in the ring before. He was a lot taller and a lot heavier than me.
Cheers to Marvin for sharing such an awesome art. You’re the man and I’m glad your channel is back.

@@TrueBoxerStance Your videos are very informal and your topic on the true boxer's stance interest me. My concern is that I thought it was bad to have your feet completely a line with each other. Usually, with the boxer's stance (depending on the individual) a person is taught to have a somewhat bladed stance and have a heel to toe like feet position. However, with your teaching of the true boxer's stance, it comes off more like a Taekwondo stance/karate stance (in a way).

I feel like with this stance it would be very difficult to throw a cross, because it has to cover a lot of distance. And it becomes even more difficult to throw 1 2 if the 1 is thrown by using hip rotation.

Hey thanks man, I joined a boxing gym 3 months ago. I only have enough to pay to attend the gym not afford the group or personal classes. You've been a life saver, and I finally feel part of the group. My finances aren't an excuse, hopefully it'll encourage others who want to do the same. All I know is hard work does get recognition and I don't really pay attention to it but coach said people are starting to observe me. Thank you very much Coach, I'll be looking forward to more of your videos.

the way you teach this stance, it is perfect for people who have already taken Taekwondo or Shotokan - people who already have a bladed stance - that want to transition to something like kickboxing. Seeing it in the context of boxing plus adding footwork is great for people who are already comfortable with that stance without having to change their style to more of a Muay Thai base.

Subbed loooong ago, I've watched all of your old vids and they've really helped me step my game up. TBS is a sick style.
Jabbing and keeping the stance I'm getting down, but as soon as I throw a combo I lose it and have to reset. In depth tech discussions really help drive everything home; your vids are the best because you don't just explain a technique, but the WHY of it. Glad to have you back!
