Ugh this show gets so unhinged, but it will forever be one of my all time favorites. Honestly some of the more interesting sci-fi story telling out there. I really hope you continue this series. I'd 100% be on board to watch. The early episodes are pretty slow, so I understand why the metrics on this video might not be great, but honestly once you get to season 2, i can guarantee people will absolutely watch your reactions.
This is a great series that admittedly takes some time to get good. I remember powering through the first season wondering why everyone kept recomending it to me but there was just enough of dark edge and mystery to keep me engaged until it starts to improve by the end of the season... But then season 2 - HOLY JFC this show gets brutal intense and hardcore in ways no other YA show even comes close to and is on a level with things like Game of Thrones and Battlestar Galactica in terms of how high stakes get and how impossible decisions become for characters who have to navigate them.
To all my fellow The 100 fans, please don't write comments like "this character will grow on you" or this character will be so good/bad in season x" These kinds of statements contain so many spoilers, so please just let him watch and develop his own opinions. Same thing with the shippings, that's always quite hard in this fandom, let him like the ships he likes, don't tell him that specific ships are bad and your preferred one is the only acceptable one, because it's not :)

Great show! The first season is very cringey, but it grows so much beyond that. I hope you give it a chance! Every female character is a badass, and the show isn’t afraid to change up the status quo - with real stakes and real consequences. It truly challenges your morality in a way that makes you question what you would do to survive. p.s. Don’t let bitter shippers ruin it for you 👍
Nice reaction. Yes, this show is really chessy at times in the beginning because our characters are still learning how everything works, but I promise you that, as you watch, you really can see them developt into more mature people (especially given their enviornment). The show gets amazing.
a lot of people are saying that lost interest on this show after season 3. the first 3 seasons are definitely the best ones, but I really enjoy the others seasons, the only one who was kinda boring for me was season 5. but this show is so amazing bro, we have everything in this, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this show a lot

It is a very good serie, the first season is more for teen, but other seasons are more for adult... lot of blood, battles, wars, sacrifices for the greater good of humanity.
This may be old news, but I'll comment just in case. From what I remember, the people on the Arc had very limited dropships, so they couldn't just send a bunch of people to the ground in batches. They sent the kids because, by the Ark law, as criminals they were going to kill them off anyway, so they kinda used them as labrats. They didn't send down any useful people like scientists because, by their calculations, the ground is probably not survivable yet, so there was no point in sending down anyone non-disposable. Anyway, even despite the cringe moments (which reduce immensy after season 1 is done) this is one of the best post-apocalypse survival shows ever. The characters are surpringly complex and the show rases many great existential topics. It would be cool if you kept watching it, but I understand that it's not a popular show in the reactor's community on TH-cam, so the chances are slim.

You should watch it, every season is like a whole new show pretty much and you think how could you be so stressed in the previous one bc the next is even more in every way. Also, the show takes on so many dramatic topics and just life things while the characters grow up, some need to grow up really fast while some stay "child like" till almost the end. Everyone I know who watched it loves and really hates different characters and what i saw from the comments on the internet the show really divided ppl into camps of believers in the righteousness of that character instead of the other and ppl started being very open with their hate to fans of other characters. I would really like to know who would you end up to connect to their decisions.
The first season is meh but the rest is amazing, the writing through season 4-6 is beyond amazing. But season 2&3 are reallyyy good aswell just takes time to get through it

This is probably one of the worst shows ever, but it is SO much fun to hate watch. My entire family sat through all the episodes and were just yelling at it the entire time. So much fun.
