It won’t impact the grey market at all. The only difference will be the adjustment in buy and sell prices. Dealers will continue to make their margins regardless.
@@steven8628 yep but this has no impact on a dealer. They will still buy and sell for a profit margin. The grey market existed long before the COVID hype and will continue to exist long after.
@@Madeinlondon67 good thing is you have a choice. Either accept their offer or sell the watch yourself. I would rather take a bit less and not have to worry about the hassle or risks selling privately
It has little to do with inflation or whatever else people speculate about, Rolex have figured out Luxury psychology to a t, they increase the prices as to keep up their image as being a luxury brand, this also insures that people will buy older stock as they can see a "deal" in those. No brand wish to flood the market making it seem like they are a dime a dosen, for me this is what Rolex have become in a lot of ways, it is lower to middle class aspirational, and that is fine, but I think a lot of people fall for the marketing, AD and other games they play and to me it is tiresome as I see right through it, I also happen to think there are a lot of brands that are above them in terms of service, and sheer attention to detail in their qualiy, is Rolex bad? Absolutely not, but I also happen to think it is really not all that.
Speak to watchmakers and you'll find that most, if not all, rate Rolex highly for both their quality and comparative value in relation to other premium brands.
Rolex is trash. The most mass produced luxury timepiece. I will never buy a Rolex as most people have one (not special) and you can get super clones for the super posers. Before yall come at me, I own, PANERAI, JLC and AP in my collection. Most of the people who I talk to in the hobby, are turned off completely by Rolex who play games with people like they are exclusive. They are far from exclusive as it’s mass produced.
You cant seem to grasp the hang of file management on your desk top.
Problem for grey market, good thing for ADs! 😂

It just means the Grey Market will still low ball you unless it’s something very desirable like a SS GMT or Daytona.
Most Rolex except a few sport models are under msrp
