      yes, cause with biology I always come home and try to understand it, with the spec by my side. And doing a post exercise of the content we did in class. I'm getting demotivated though as I feel like I'm getting behind on all my subjects as of yesterday.

    Hi Ray! Great video like always. Could you also do a video on how to make the most of your calculator at a levels, in terms of what all you could use it for? So that you avoid doing unnecessary calculations by hand, or check your answers? I've started using my calculator for more stuff, but I don't know if I'm utilizing it as much as I can, or missing out on stuff. (btw, im using the Casio fx-991 ex, like most people I think)

    Are the techniques in this video and your other study videos 100% applicable to university level? I’m going to do sciences and I am aware that it is impossible to learn everything at uni. I really can’t imagine learning everything from lectures😖Please do a video about studying at uni! Especially on deciding what to learn. Thank you so much!!

    • @RAmjad

      Hi, so I take a slightly different approach and use an app called Remnote instead which is like Anki but I think it's better suited for concept-based subjects. There are a bunch of videos explaining how to use it online

    Could I use only pre prepared flashcards as revision consistently(independent study) and then use my textbooks for further comprehension before later applying my understanding to topic questions
    Does this seem like a good revision routine

    • @RAmjad
      @RAmjad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that it could be a little risky because I usually go understand -> memorise -> apply and it seems like you will be doing memorise -> understand -> apply. I have never tried it but you could do it for a topic or two and see how it works out. If you have time to do a little self-experimentation then go for it but, on the intuitive level I think that it won't work so well

    Hi Ray Amjad,
    I wanted some advice from you basically I am currently in Year 12 doing 4 a-levels (maths, further maths, chemistry and physics) but what want to drop further maths (not finding it hard) since it is adding such a massive workload and taking up so much space on my timetable. However, I am worried this will decrease my chance of getting into Imperial College London, Bath and Leicester university for when I apply. Can you tell me if this will affect my chances.

    • @ashfx1112
      @ashfx1112 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      im not ray but if you dont want to further maths, thats ok but it depends on what you want to do at uni

    • @abdullahkashif465
      @abdullahkashif465 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ashfx1112 I want to do chemical or mechanical engineering and at the uni’s they say IF u do a fourth subject they prefer it to be further maths but I want to drop down to three and just do maths, physics and chemistry is that fine?

      @bradleywilliams3121 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@abdullahkashif465 I'm doing the same A-Levels as you, and my school does Further Maths as an As Level and then gives you the oppurtunity to carry it on into 2nd year, to complete the whole A Level. So maybe just do it as an As and drop it in year 2. But if you really dislike it, then you should drop it now.

    • @ashfx1112
      @ashfx1112 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@abdullahkashif465 i mean, y12 just started so maybe take another week or two to decide, a levels are tough anway. unis do prefer it to be further maths but that is only if you do 4. as long as you have a decent personal statement and grades for ucas then you should be good for most unis.

    • @abdullahkashif465
      @abdullahkashif465 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bradleywilliams3121 it’s not that I dislike it, it’s just that it has such a massive work load as my school timetable is always filled up and I not getting enough time for all my subjects. Right now we are just doing pure and it is pretty easy I don’t find it hard just too time consuming that I can’t pay attention to all my subjects and am worried it may affect me as I could get 3 outstanding grades instead of 4 ‘meh’ grades, which I am really worried about
