The sandwich got me😄Such a nice video, I like the "raw" character of it (of course it has been cut and stuff but I think you know what I mean😄). Also what a way to finish! I suppose you're aorund 200 basejumps now? You make it look so easy and routined.

Thanks buddy🤟🏼 Appreciate all the kind words. I know exactly what you mean. Yessir, actually just did jump 203 yesterday lol. Definitely getting more comfortable, but it’s like the more I learn the more I know I don’t know. But definitely learning to explore the sport in new creative ways. Also, definitely check out Connor’s perspective of his sandwich jump, absolutely gold😅

Try to add some weight to the avata. It will dive much faster 🤘🏻

Funny enough I actually hadn’t thought of this, my only worry would be recovering from too steep a dive with the rotors not having enough power lol.

@@DevMcLaughlin there is more than enough power. Those motors are very powerful. A good example for adding weight would be to add a gopro and a mount for it. (a hero 11 + mount is another 150-160g and it will dive a lot faster.) give it a try :-)

Do you think the added GoPro will affect drag too much? The biggest problem I’ve had is actually turning out of a steep dive, where the Avata will actually tumble if I’m not flying with total precision. I worry changing the center of gravity could contribute to this tumble. What do you think?

Is the wingsuit much more dangerous? Seems like as long as its high enough and the weather is obviously good it wouldnt be more dangerous.

Statistically wingsuit BASE results in far more fatalities annually by multiple orders of magnitude than all other BASE disciplines combined. That said, different injuries occur at different rates under different disciplines. In line with this, different areas of each discipline can be examined for different levels of danger relative to one another, as well as different levels of danger across each stage of practicing each discipline.

A little to fast for the avata but nice shots. I used a game called Liftoff to train fpv flights. Helped me a bunch. Do you use any fpv simulators?

Thanks man, way too fast, but fun to give it a shot all the same. It’s looking like slider down jumps will pretty much be the limit for this little quad. I have, I actually spent 10-20 hours in DJI’s simulator before even taking to the sky. There’s isn’t too bad, but the Avata (being a cinewhoop) has had some known problems that the simulator can’t necessarily replicate, especially in the manner I’ve been trying to fly it (which it really isn’t designed for). But all said I can surely use more simulator flight. Let me look into Liftoff and see if it’s compatible with DJI hardware, I’ll definitely take your word on that.
