A lot of people talk about how bad it is to work bedside in a hospital, but these nursing homes are atrocious. Also, have you tried meal prepping for ALL meals + snacks to help with gaining weight?
Yeah nursing homes is a mess, down to the condition of the building to the messy workers. I think I can do bedside though. I have a strong passion for helping those that cannot do for themselves so it’s just more so about picking a specialty that I won’t get bored in. And I haven’t thought of that. I was doing it some days but sometimes I don’t even be wanting to cook since I drive so far for school😭😭😭. But thank you so much for tuning in💗.
Felt that about L&D lol, I swore up and down I was going to do L&D, but I did my clinical in the ED and liked it a lot. We weren't able to go to L&D for my maternity clinical, but I'm going to try and do it for my practicum just so I can see what it's like before I start applying to jobs.

Look into patient care tech jobs at your local hospitals for jobs if you’re not interested in working at nursing homes anymore. I did it while in nursing school and enjoyed it.
I actually worked at a hospital last year but quit because of so much going on in my life at that time. I’m actually trying to get back in so hopefully I get something soon🤞🏽💗. Are you still in nursing school?

I don't mean to be all up in your business lol but I'm truly interested because there are plenty of ways to gain experience.
Hi, so my school has an academic map for a nursing major so you know what classes to take prior to applying to nursing school because before nursing school you do pre-requisites. I would talk to the school you attend and see what classes you would need to take prior to getting into nursing school. Then I went ahead and took an entrance exam for nursing school which was the teas. Every school is different but most schools require you to take the teas. After that I applied to my school and got in. You can see if your state has things like grants and fasfa. In Georgia fasfa covers your first degree as long as it isn’t a really expensive school. My school is on the inexpensive side by the grace of God so fasfa covers it. Also try to look into being a patient care technician in the hospital prior to nursing school or getting your cna license. It helps you gain experience before getting into nursing if you’re trying to go into nursing.
