    How's the gold shield for night riding? Looks badass 😎

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Iridium shields (this one included) are typically a smoke tint. That means they're not recommend for night riding.

    Nice review. Not seen a lot of reviews of the new Airflites. I have a 5 year old Airflite and it's pretty good even now.
    Do the current ones have a channel or groves for folks who wear glasses? My old one does not and is quite a chore to get them in correctly.

    • @schad805
      @schad805 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To the best of our knowledge Icon has not changed the interior of the Airflite since over the years. Fitting a helmet with eyeglasses can be challenging and will depend on your head shape and frames. One brand that makes a special effort to accommodate glasses is Shark - could be worth exploring their line up if this is an issue for you.

    • @SiddharthVarman
      @SiddharthVarman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@schad805 I did see a comment on Revzilla that the pads are glasses friendly. No grooves looks like. My old Ariflite gets quite painful at times when getting the glasses on. I thought by now, Icon would have had some grooves in place to accomodate that.
      If no, will likley be a deal breaker sadly. The black peacekeeper was on my list.

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SiddharthVarman Many helmets will state they are "glasses friendly", but these claims are highly subjective. As stated above fit will depend on head/face and glasses shape. If you shop at www.speedaddicts.com returns shipping is on us so test fitting a helmet is risk free.

    Are these helmets heavy? Owned an icon helmets some years ago and it was so heavy I regretted it

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scottie, you're looking at around 3.78 lbs for this Airflite. Slightly heavier than some poly helmets, but not too heavy that would cause discomfort. Hope this helps!

    I'm at 56.5mm The scale recommends medium. But I've heard its better to buy up one size. What do you recommend?

    • @jonnyignacio3821
      @jonnyignacio3821 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its tight at first but the padding will adjust from wear on your cheek but should clear your noggin you want a snug fit and you can't do much if its bigger on you the first time you put it on.

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Wade, we'd say go with the medium like Jonny says you'll get a 10-15% break in on the padding.

      Hey there, your best bet would be to go for a size XL. If you did need to go up or down a size, we make exchanges free and easy, happy riding!

      @@SpeedAddictsTV by the way sir my head is a bit round. Can i still use this helmet?

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@30blindbandit the honest answer is you wont know until you try it on. Fit is a highly subjective topic. Rider preference, head/face shape and of course each helmet's fitment quarks all play a part in making fit a tough thing to accurately target without the rider's head present. Our answer? Just order one from www.SpeedAddicts.com and try it on in your living room. We pay shipping both ways (USA only) so test fitting is completely risk free.

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrmurphy8609 You've got it right. The RST shields are fairly light compared to other fully mirrored shields on the market. Pros and cons for this of course. Light tint does allow for a more diverse set of lighting conditions.
