A beautiful hot sunny summers day at Harlington station, Bedfordshire. One of my favourite spots on the Midland Mainline, nice quiet station and on a long straight section so a good opportunity for some distant zooming!
INCLUDES: EWS (DB) 66, East Midlands HST's & Meridians and Thameslink 319's, 377's & 387's! (Also includes a shot or two from the next station along, Flitwick)

Brilliant shot looking down the long straight with the HSTs crossing. Those Electrostars sound quite good accelerating and decelerating.

Interesting to see the MML south of Bedford, not often covered on film. Certainly a vast array of EMU types and liveries now - last time I filmed this way it was just Class 319's in Network SouthEast livery! Pity there was only the one freight train.

I was on a 377 on MML on Friday after just past Luton when on the down slow went a SWT 159 on way from Brush works Loughborough

I don't know much about trains but as a regular user of this line can anyone explain why the latest thameslink trains have a third light at the front that shines down at the rail and a light illuminating the pantograph regardless of what time of day it is?

It's the law so workers on the line can see trains from a distance (this is for all train operators around the world)
