I think everyone wouldn’t have believed the nets and Knicks would have traded with each other
KD was proud to be a Net because he and his friend made the decision to go there. Had no choice but to double-down on happiness in being in BK. Mikal didn't ask to go there and watched his friends have a blast 30 mins across town -- that's why he was probably embarrassed lol.

@aaronvarughese4095 Even at the Knicks lowest, they were still a team that was relevant and profitable and still had their fans and city to ride with them.
The Nets should have stayed in New Jersey with some dignity. They thought they was going to come over to New York and take over in Brooklyn and alot of that hype had to do with OVERRATED Jay Z at the time. Now the Nets look like the East Coast Clippers constantly in rebuild mode every 5-10 seasons. They had no business coming to Brooklyn, not because of a threat of taking over but because I knew they would end up looking like the Clippers.
It's never a good idea to have multiple teams in the same city, or in this case the same borough because one of the teams is going to get the short end of the stick. And in this case, it's the Brooklyn Nets.

Evan comeon, we’ve traded most of this franchise’s draft picks for old past their prime stars. At least your Nets took control of their own destiny to some degree. Props to Sean Marks, #LetsGoKnicks

Oh helloooo... interestingly enough, the part they are not mentioning oddly is that Bridges actually forced his way with his own leverage. The "newer" Jersey Swamp Dragons were never trading him to us, regardless of all these arguments or packages offered if he did not go to the front office and threaten to tell all interested teams that he was running right to the Knicks as soon as the contract was over if they didn't move him. No team will typically offer a great package if they know he does not want to be there long term. Its bad business muffins, yeah... He really gave the Nets very little choice, and if you were going to move him for value this was def the time to do it. He essentially pulled a KP lol- Except with out the disrespectful edge where KP threatened to tarnish our reputation with prospective free agents. Bridges was determined to make this to happen. He is the reason we have him honestly, well that and the playful bullying of Josh Hart. A lot of people in the sports world probably crapped them selves when this trade was announced so I hope peeps were "wearing their brown pants." :O)
The rockets offer was reported to be the Nets picks back plus Jalen Green. 😂😂😂😂 Thats crazy they didn't take that deal.

Whatever made the Nuts think Mikal was a team leader? He obviously never really wanted to be there and not with all his Nova buddies across town. They never were competing since they acquired him, in fact, the Nuts had taken two huge swings in the last decade and whiffed on both and had little to use to clean the mess up again.
