This is great! I don't have your tools and your skills but at least you spelled it out of why you are doing this or that so that I can do something at my level. Thank you so much.
Take it from someone who started to go bald in their teens - save yourself the hassle and shave it off, or crop it close. Don't waste your time obessing over it, or paying out for dubious treatments. Nice sofa, by the way.
And I found the presentation was verry basic, Ben didn't seem to care much about the subject or the brand. And he just recited the whole thing and kept glancing at his speech ...
Why would you shave it off? If you start early enough 75% can find an effective treatment if they are willing, if you were using “dubious” ones that’s on you.
Not saying this to criticize at all but I wonder what would happen if somebody with your background made a piece of "fine woodworking furniture". I feel like the result would be pretty cool.
I would love to get the PDF with the cut list and materials but I can't seem to find it on the homemade modern site. Could someone help me out with where I might find that? Thank you Loving the video's and the site. Just ordered your book too. I am new to wood working and am excited to try some of these projects. Thank you!
Nice idea worth considering when having special dimensioning requirements and low budget. Did you have any challenges with the bottom structure bending out of line so that only three legs would be touching ground?
Wow this is amazing. Do you think you can make one without the three back supports so that all you have is that one plank as a back rest? I feel like that might add more to the aesthetic
Similar designs have a slot running across the back of the sear section where the back can slide in. You might be able to put small supports underneath? Look at maidenhome.com/collections/the-muir-sofa. Somewhere on the site is a schematic for assembly, which is pretty easy to figure out a DIY.
Currently loooking for a couch is either not my taste in most store o way too expensive rather make it myself wish I knew someone could help me my hubby is not the greatest handy man

I kinda thought the same thing when I saw the title, then when I saw the grommets being used? I was near-certain since I knew it was extremely familiar. I had to search out the old video too, to prove that while I WAS wrong, at least I wasn't crazy lol.
@@HomeMadeModern Mate nice try you did this as one of your early videos. As soon as you brought out the leather, grommets and rope to tie it together. I'm sure by now you've gone back and pulled the old video.

Man I don't get diy videos. I don't think diy should involve expensive specialised tools like those circular saws. I really don't think a person that owns such tools would have to get help from a youtube video to do these things
It is very costly and wasting time you need to watch tools to match a tools material and labour involved and not very good so far sorry it is not practical in practicality
You guys are the best. Your projects are so simple to make and give me the confidence to take on these projects. Keep up the good work!
Great project! It would be cool tweaking it into a sofa bed
Pretty cool. I think I'll start small and make one for my dogs.
Looking like a sofa on a coffee table!😊
Super Cool Design!💐
"BRAVO Darling... Bravo"
What i like about this is that no sophisticated tools used... super diy

great work!
Agreed..lol..but it is nice😀😂
Pretty cool, Ben. Could you make a side chair by making a mini version of this couch?
Great build Ben!! You & Mike are 2 of my favorites and seeing him pop in & out was pretty cool. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!!
Another awesome video ben! We love how simple and approachable all your projects are!
when's the next video on the container and hoarder house?
contianer video is coming in the next 2 weeks. jessie is still removing the junk from the house and should have a video on the clean up soon.
@@HomeMadeModern Awesome, looking forward to Jessie's renovation. Hopefully lots of time lapses of junk being moved and spaces being opened up. :)
Yea, my wife wants to know as well!
How much did this sofa cost you to make?
Cool and simple design Amazing
How many degrees did you slant the wood on the back of the seat?
I love this channel and I think this is a great looking couch, but I can't imagine hitting my shins on one of those side tables at night.
Nice job 👍
Oh snap I didn’t know you had done the studio for Schultz
Great build! I love the built-in side tables. AND. . . the sofa is flat so you can nap on it!
Well done colleague.
Nice
Nice!! What if you want it for your outdoor area? Any suggestions to secure the wood?
Cheers!
Really cool Ben, awesome job! 😃👍🏻👊🏻

This is cool. Ideas for making the cushion out of something to make this an outdoor couch?
Where did you get all those clips?
how many marine do we need to build this sofa? thanks for answering
Nice, but round those corners a bit, or people are going to get bruised shins! :)
Hi, I really loved this design so may I ask if I could duplicate it and sell it in my area?
Neat.
What was your approach to attaching the legs? Any predrilling or imbeded threading? What kind of screws or bolts did you use?
Not saying this to criticize at all but I wonder what would happen if somebody with your background made a piece of "fine woodworking furniture". I feel like the result would be pretty cool.
Adam Ashe HA!
What Angle did you use?
Could this design work with a cloud cushion design? Also how is this for lying down on the couch?

Do you know how much weight can it carry/handle?
How much leather you buy???

not low budget do the math

Great video. Would you say the 2" foam was thick enough, or would you thicker if you made it again?

Is it me or has someone already made this exact video aside from the keeps part? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Whats the name of the small ring you used in the leather?
They are called grommets. There is a grommet tool that easily punches them into the leather. Sold on Amazon and ebay.
3:38 Um, I can't help but feel like you're only using half a grommet.

Just the wooden base. I can do the cushions.
Just make it for me and send the wood I’ll decorated myself
