I think this song beautifully sums up falling in love and it turning toxic. This has a positive uplifting beat that slowly turns dark and destructive which literally relates to the whole emotional rollercoaster of a failed marriage.

And oh boy, I feel like this is one of the most acrobatic songs I've heard, yet in such a subtle way. The way he switches on and off the raspiness in his voice like it's nothing seems so effortless. And the way he do it is just so clever. The best exemple of this imo being the way he says "planning to leave" in the first verse. He choses to add raspiness long after he starts to say the word planning almost when he'salmot done saying it. Wich is a bit tricky to reproduce because of how quick it transitions from clean to rasp to clean again. This dude is a fucking genius
