I've tried this product (but I'm not a full coverage addict), but I love how it makes my skin so flawless on natural lighting even though I have big pores. My PIH will still show through but for someone who likes a light foundation to wear every day, this was amazing.

I think you need to pass on reviews of light to medium foundations. They aren’t your thing and by trying to make them be something they are not seems very stressful to you. We don’t mind if you skip them, as a light foundation user I don’t come to your channel to see light foundation reviews, I come for your loveliness and artistry.
Very tactfully put. I am also a light to medium coverage foundation girl, and it isn't fair that so many people in the comments are saying "it's cheap and marked up because it's not full". I've tried many light and medium foundations where the pigments didn't mesh well with the skinlike finish, or the lightness of the foundation caused it to break up later in the day. I think having a high end option is nice too. just saying, quality isn't solely equatable to pigment density... different people look for different qualities, which is why she stresses that this could work for others.

People are bitching bc she says it’s not her preference. They are saying things like “it doesn’t claim to be full coverage”, “why does every foundation have to be full coverage”, it’s like “DUH 🙄 that’s HER preference & the point if her review. It’s HER channel, anyone can start their own channels”.
If I recommend that you do clips of your face throughout the day to show how it's wearing. Those are my favorite types of review videos and clips that aren't under studio lighting to actually give a real life look at the product.
yes, i recommend you guys check out Thataylaa's Channel! she did a really nice review of it. I don't understand why just putting it on in front of a camera is a good review for any type of skin.
I actually love this foundation. I have good skin though and like the fresh "model" look. It's not ment to be layered thick like Instagram style foundation.

It’s just that a people tend to say that extra pigmentation costs more to produce so our minds, mine, at least, seems to be trying to defend the hefty price with thinking, maybe it’s more expensive to make (its really not). To me, personally, I don’t think it’s worth it. Not because it isn’t full, but because spending that much on an effect that I can get for $7 seems like a rip off.
I was thinking the same, when she hits her 40's her skin will change and her needs will change as well. She will then be all about sheer, Radiant and dewy coverage.
On a day to day basis she used tinted moisturizer. I'd love to see ger use something that sheer for a tutorial some time (besides the one she already did)
I feel like we can't forget that Pat said that this line was formulated mainly for the runway and for artists to have in their kits. So it's designed to stay put under a lot of lights; look almost like 'no make-up' make-up, like Nikkie herself has said that on the runway, you shouldn't be able to tell that the model is wearing foundation; and will work well with mixing other products, like what an artist will do when working on a client.

Naw I'm sorry this foundation didn't work for you!! I am normally a full coverage gal too but still loved this foundation :) I found it layered really well to get more coverage on my skin though.
I've been watching Nikki's videos for a while now and I never notice anyone praising her English. She grew up in the Netherlands speaking dutch and learned English with a flawless accent that when I first started watching her videos I thought she was 100% American. English is one of the hardest languages to learn so GOOD JOB NIKKI!!!!!

I agree! Juvias Place and PUR "Love my Selfie" are the best I have found that does not appear cakey. I'm a grandmother so finding foundation for my skin (which is not super smooth) is a chore.

I don’t think a “high standard” of foundation should be based on how much it can cover because I think overtime as we use it more, it may tarnish the way we see our own skin. While makeup is a mind blowing form of art, we should consider letting our own skin shine through sometimes ☺️
The price of the foundation doesnt always reflects the amount of coverage tho. what's inside the foundation usually determines it's price point. Higher quality ingredient, higher price.

I think it's because she loves the primer but really doesn't like the foundation. So for her $200 for something she loves is worth it, but $68 for something she doesn't like at all isn't. Had she liked the foundation, I don't think she would have made the wifi comment at all.
I’m 40 and with areas of dry skin, large pores and some wrinkles here and there I have to say this foundation really lives up to the hype for me. It sits nicely without making any problem areas worse, looks smooths without a smoothing primer used underneath....

I think all the descriptors about “runway” make this sound like makeup artist, celeb, red carpet foundation. Definitely not TH-cam/Instagram/photo foundation. Just my two cents.

Pat McGrath is KNOWN for making skin look fresh with light coverage. and on the red carpet, you don’t want heavy cakeface because it WILL run under the hot lights and all your smile lines and texture will be emphasized in camera flashes (go look at James Charles for the Met Gala as an example.) So NO her comment was not useless, she’s absolutely right.

Fern Young this is actually true. Standards for runway, social media and consumer makeup can all be different. The Pat McGrath foundation can still do justice for social media makeup even if it was formulated to be more for runway. There’s a lot of difference when it comes to backstage makeup and the regular/social media oriented makeup and I was shocked to learn a lot of things they do differently backstage. In the end it’s also all about preference, really. The least Nikkie could do was to tell her audience who it was best for and she did, which justifies her not-so-good review on it.
Why bother trying it if it isn’t the kind of foundation you like? You know it’s not full coverage 🤔 I feel like this is an unfair review, review what it claims to be, not what you want it to be.

I think how Nikkie applied it made it more than a sheer vail coverage wise. With the brush and the beauty blender. I like to apply foundation more sheer even if it claims to be full coverage to look more natural. We all know Nikkie loves to cake it on and that’s totally fine for her! 🖤

Thanks for your honest review! I have started using this foundation and I really love it, but I am someone who isn't comfortable with full coverage during the day. For an evening look, definitely pass me the Huda Beauty, but for a daytime look, I'm all about the natural and this foundation is totally it for me. I like that my skin shows through and I find if you apply it lightly, it wears really well. So yes, I think there is a demographic out there for this type of foundation, but I still think it's great that you're willing to tell the truth so people know what to expect if they are going to buy it
On screen your skin/foundation looks amazing. Actually better than other foundations you use. But that's on screen, in a studio, with tons of lighting.

I agree!! When I first purchased it I was concerned about the cost; however, I am in love with the beautiful, seamless, yet ultra natural skin effect this foundation offers. I was amazed at how it withheld in AZ with it being triple digits in the heat. I myself am pretty oily skin, but have grown to love the dewy skin look. I dont get it, 68$ for a pat McGrath foundation, but sissley 200$ primer is okay, worth it, no need for wifi in that.

I’m 40 and with areas of dry skin, large pores and some wrinkles here and there I have to say this foundation really lives up to the hype for me. It sits nicely without making any problem areas worse, looks smooths without a smoothing primer used underneath....

I think all the descriptors about “runway” make this sound like makeup artist, celeb, red carpet foundation. Definitely not TH-cam/Instagram/photo foundation. Just my two cents.

Pat McGrath is KNOWN for making skin look fresh with light coverage. and on the red carpet, you don’t want heavy cakeface because it WILL run under the hot lights and all your smile lines and texture will be emphasized in camera flashes (go look at James Charles for the Met Gala as an example.)

Fern Young this is actually true. Standards for runway, social media and consumer makeup can all be different. The Pat McGrath foundation can still do justice for social media makeup even if it was formulated to be more for runway. There’s a lot of difference when it comes to backstage makeup and the regular/social media oriented makeup and I was shocked to learn a lot of things they do differently backstage. In the end it’s also all about preference, really. The least Nikkie could do was to tell her audience who it was best for and she did, which justifies her not-so-good review on it.

Agree, it's medium coverage, she applies 4 layers to "build it up" to more full coverage, then says that it's caking and falling apart 🤔 if she applied 1 layer the foundation would be glowy and beautiful.

Yes, I think the multiple layers might have been the issue, but she probably won't give it a second try or a full day of wear, or use it with/out primer, etc. I can't get this in my country so I'm not interested myself, but that's how true reviews go...

I LOVED this foundation! Now I usually work with medium coverage foundations, so different perspective. The formula is to die for and the colors are great.

@@soitsjkabelfor1620 I don't know which influencers are friends, and which aren't, but I think influencers should be reviewing it (regardless of how they feel about Jackie) to show support to their darker skinned followers who've had to watch a million reviews of palettes where only half the shadows show up on their skin. I think it's an important palette to talk about.

I actually love this foundation. It looks like actual skin and covers discoloration. But I got the same effect with ABH's Luminous Foundation which retails for $38

Thanks for your honest review! I have started using this foundation and I really love it, but I am someone who isn't comfortable with full coverage during the day. For an evening look, definitely pass me the Huda Beauty, but for a daytime look, I'm all about the natural and this foundation is totally it for me. I like that my skin shows through and I find if you apply it lightly, it wears really well. So yes, I think there is a demographic out there for this type of foundation, but I still think it's great that you're willing to tell the truth so people know what to expect if they are going to buy it

I agree!! When I first purchased it I was concerned about the cost; however, I am in love with the beautiful, seamless, yet ultra natural skin effect this foundation offers. I was amazed at how it withheld in AZ with it being triple digits in the heat. I myself am pretty oily skin, but have grown to love the dewy skin look. Thank you for your honest review and your take on how these products wear on you in comparison to full coverage. ❤️❤️🥰🥰

"Things are already creasing" because you applied the Juvia's Place concealer lol. Their foundation and concealer creases within 5 minutes on me, even if set really well with powder. It sucks.
