    We have a Visionic system, which was serviced recently and the engineer pinched the cable between the IP Powerlink Module and the panel, they are quoting £170+vat, can we buy just the flat grey lead in the uk? We had a working system before the maintenance visit, but they are accepting no responsibility. Your help would be much appreciated. Also where can we source batteries for the sensors with cameras please. Thank you

    Hi. Your videos have allowed me to set up and manage my Visionic Alarm system, thank you. I now have a new problem. My front door was replaced recently and the guys didn't allow me time to log in as installer mode before removing the door contact so I got a tamper alarm alert
    I have removed this alert but after they changed the door and fixed the contact back, my alarm now thinks the door is open so I cannot set the alarm. I have to bypass the door contact every time I want to set the alarm. The guys will be returning to see if the top of the door needs closing further but I would like some help to fix the door contact issue please.
    Should I go into installer mode, remove the contact and check if it was fixed properly?
    Why does the alarm system think the door is open and what can I check/do to resolve this issue.
    I appreciate any advise.

    Question about GSM module and ethernet module. I would like to install PowerLink3.1 but I have GSM module working fine. If I decide to install PowerLink3.1 do I have to remove GSM module or I can simply disable module in settings or best option is to leave it turned on? What is your recommendation. I was thinking about situation when for example , broadband network get down some reason. Would be great if system have backup option for communication with user.

    Thanks for the video. I’m really struggling with mine. I moved into a new house and it already had an alarm system in place. I installed the IP module and tried following your instructions but on the communication menu there is no option for report mode. It just jumps straight to sub menu 2. It also doesn’t have option 21. @lukewiltshire623 the menus are missing because you are not in the main installer menu. I think if you go into the user menu, the first one and skip through to the end it will get to the installer menu. Go into that and put the installer code to get in.hope this helps, let me know.

      @ thanks for quick reply. I have been doing it using installer menu but it doesn’t show me all options. I’ve been using code 8888 as 9999 doesn’t work. I’ve seen somewhere else that there are two levels of installer mode and potentially someone has changed the master installer code as 9999 isn’t working? Would you say that’s correct? If so guessing I’m going to need to reset the codes somehow

    • @simplysecurity3546
      @simplysecurity3546  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @lukewiltshire623 yes there are two installer menus. The main one will allow you into all the menus. Even if you reset the codes I don't think it will allow you to go into installer with 9999. The only thing you can do is completely reset panel to factory setting and set it all back up again. I think this will allow you into installer menu using 9999.

      Ip address is 052.058.105.181
      Just put this in and then go to diagnostics and in there you can check the ip modual connection.

      Is the ip modul a new one, if not you have to get in contact with visonic and get them to reset it. Have you put the panel I'd in correctly, this is not the serial number even though it asked for that. Its the 6 numbers and letters panel I'd.

    How have you fared with sensors for older, still functioning control panels, example Powermax and Powermax Plus?
    In my tiny corner I cannot import a single MCT-302N (315Mhz) or Next K-9 85 MCW PIR(315Mhz).
    My business has many of these installed and while the panels remain robust, the door/window contacts are prone to failure after sometime usually with tamper switch malfunction.
    The sole supplier upon whom I depended has gone rogue.
    I asked Visonic Israel HQ for help in locating a USA distributor who would ship abroad and their response was to block mail emanating from my email service.
    Can you believe I'm the foremost installer of their product in my domicile and have been defiantly promoting their brand since 1998 when they first came out with the original Powermax?
    Am I suppose in the current economic climate to insist that clients upgrade to......what?

      Hi Jack, I have been installing Visonic products for about 20 years now butI have never installed a 315mhz, only 433 868 and 869 which the 869 were rubbish. I think the 315 were last made in 2012 and they have just stopped making the powermax systems as well. We have to tell our customers if we can't get the products they will have to upgrade, any of the alarm manufacturers don't really give us any other options.

      @@simplysecurity3546 Thanks man, for your prompt response.
      You're likely right about the end of the Powercode sensors.
      I know they stopped making the Powermax and the Powermax Plus. But I had no idea about the 315 Mhz door/window contacts etc. Don't recall seeing a sunset notice on them anywhere.
      The California business I ordered from before they turned septic, always had in stock.
      No wonder when I tried to order from a few of the vendors who pretend to still have them, when I specify 315 Mhz there's always some horse-dung rather than simply admitting to selling all existing stock and alerting their patrons that the component is no longer made.
      If I can get enough of an order (new or used)to see my clients through this current downturn, upgrading will be on the books but the manufacturer won't be Visonic!

    How to add another user on the app

    • @simplysecurity3546
      @simplysecurity3546  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Download the visonic app on the next phone. Open the app and enter the server address, visonic.tycomonitor.com.
      Then put in your password and email which you should have already set up on the first phone and it will ask you for your user code and you should be in. Hope this helps

      If you press the ok button on the front of the panel a few times and it will tell you what the problem is. If you find out what the problem is I have a few videos on my channel to show you how to fix them. Hope this helps.
