Imagine how goku had to feel hearing the last thing krillin said was screaming his name for help. Man seeing this as a kid and then all grown up makes you realize the pain he was truly feeling. Gotta love dragonball 😎

The line “I will make you suffer” hits so strong coming from the same guy who was once a little kid who loved his grandpa and simply loved martial arts for the fun of it. Truly a testament to how cruel Freeza is.

Idk man. This one was so good. I love the BFST, but this was honestly amazing.
“I will make you suffer.” followed by that power up scream that is filled with an unfiltered rage and pain hits SO hard. I love this and the original so much. They both make me cry. The overwhelming rage and pain in the face of pure evil is unmatched by any other moment in Dragonball in my opinion. I had to get a hug from my mom when I saw the original as a kid because I was so emotionally invested. 12/10.
Who else is here in respect for toriyama? RIP to a legend who inspired an entire generation of anime love!

This is amazing! This is what kai was supposed to be. I know it takes a lot of work but it would be awesome if all of Z was remastered like this.
I watch this and think to myself, I think it’s insane when you think about this part of the Namek saga and the Cell Saga with Gohans SSJ2 Transformation… Both times and both transformations just give you the chills man. Just total epic badassness, Goku pushed to his limits to find a power with
Gohan pushed beyond his limits of kindness and compassion to reveal SSJ2 and all its glory in the transformation.

Picture this: you just got home, after months of waiting and rewatching the time has come to see Goku go Super sayian after all the hype, you just got a new game to play on the playstation afterwards and a 2-liter of Dr. Pepper, no school tomorrow, your parents don't care if you stay up all night long, a perfect summers night, you are 35 years old, the year is 2023

Goku finally found that tingle on his back when krillin exploded.
He had no strength left to fight only the anger and feeling of hopelessness of not being able to save his friend from being killed right in-front of him. I really love how the transformation was achieved in classic DBZ.

Funny thing, Goku, you're not the only one who can turn into all the forms you achieved over the years. Thing is... I can achieve those forms, too. And it's all thanks to the energy of the Master Emerald that's been coursing through me to this day.
And, I still remember when Frieza killed Krillin, which was the ultimate trigger for your first transformation into a Super Saiyan.

Can we talk about how great the animation is done here? Like Super styke, it's also new and polished but the crisp edges, the damage and the brutality is still there. Imo it is the best art style for Dragon Ball.
It looks great dont get me wrong.
But it was too fast. All those moments and little details that led to saiyan are what made this moment iconic. It was like 2 minutes of holding your breath seeing what goku was gonna do. And the transformation itself looked more unpleasant to get to in the original.
Agreed. It was more raw. Like a monster was emerging from within and Goku was struggling to contain it.
