- Same flight recorded from the ground. Al my struggling with the cross wind during landing a lot more evident. I had to use up a good half of runway to stabilize the aircraft. I was seriously considering aborting the landing and going for another attempt.

Bad rotor from those trees. A very tricky landing in wind but well done, you did great.
I had one of the most memorable time of my life owning and flying one of these planes in 1995. The Quicksilver MX could fly as slow as 19mph and as fast as 45 mph. It was two axis. There are still some used MX being bought and sold. Check the Barnstormer magazine or Ultralight websites in the US.
Nice flight and good practice on a windy day.
So where do you fly from? Very nice little ultralight airstrip.
Nice looking MX you got there. I sure do miss my MX. Best flying two axis UL I've ever owned. Of course the only other two axis i had was a WeedHopper! My Z-Max will be in the air by fall 2013.
Looks like a go-kart with wings!! Looks like a ton of fun!!!
So exciting and scary at the same time! 😄 Be safe, comrade.
Very nice flying and beautiful runway.
nice little aircraft, cheers, Pete
That's what I was thinking!
懐かしい!15年前にクイックシルバーで飛行した時を思い出す。北海道はアメリカと似た風土で快適であつた。現在はやってはいない。チャンスがあれば、再び飛びたい!
Where is this strip exactly?? Is it near okachobee?
What was your ground roll distance in this video?
Nice flight amazing
I flew my MX from there until a couple of years ago.
NO WAY. That's just what you don't want near an airstrip - TREES !! If the wind is not directly along the strip, the potential for the wind to rotor as it comes over the trees is all TOO obvious
How much does one cost? Where cools I by one?\
Сколько такой стоит? Где можно такой купить?
Bob Lovejoy was the designer of the Quicksilver, Is he still involved with the aircraft? I worked at Eipperformance Hang gliders back in the 10970s. I was there to witness the first Ever flight of a powered Quicksilver. It was at Grand Beach in El Segundo, Ca. Those were the days :)
Bob lovejoy got killed testing a prototype called "the avion"(decades ago). They forgot to install a circlip to secure the elevator control cable pin, it came out in flight and he plummeted to the ground. died on the spot
@@gukakmakuk Similar with Weedhopper's designer (Chotia). Wonder how many other designers have that dubious distinction?
@@commentatron didn´t know that about john chotia´s death, thanks for telling me. I doubt any other ultralight designer has died due to negligences of that kind. greetings from Colombia . south america,
what was your lift to drag ratio, without lamens terms in thie video? laughing at the other comments
Too right. The wind is likely to rotor over the trees.
como puedo conseguir un plano para tratar de hacerlo yo..!!gracias..!!
Is that macivor's?
do you have more video sir.
whats the fuel and would run of biofuels? oh an Ranga I found this - jordanlakeaero on the net that sells kits. talk to them. I'm look at it myself
Can you share the plans? Tks
is this near miami?
How much is this Ultralight?
A runway between trees like that has to be one of the most turbulent places to take off and land...
Bob Furr can you share the plans? Tks
Bob Furr iii
I heard that birds refuse to land there on windy days.
i wanna buy one of king of ultralight plane,,,i like this one..
where can I get it?
Very cool, but looks like need more power.
Few problems can't be solved with more power - or bigger hammers ;)
Remember "Stick into the wind" !
not much help with wing spoilers.
muito bom
I used to fly Quicksilver ultralights. They are a lot of fun to fly but you really need professional instruction before going up by your self, that is if you want to stay alive to enjoy it another day.
Ek Chuah Studios do you suggest a pilot's license as well? Or do you think training in an ultra light is enough?
Mx great plane
I fly trikes . I thought I wanted one of these but damn they look so brittle. just wimpy looking.
Slot takeoff =BAD rotors!!!....You were lucky.
put it in the barn and count your blessings
VERY INTERESTING "WINDY DAY" WITH WIND SOUNDS BUT TREE TOPS AREN'T EVEN MOVING....HMMM
I think the Wright brother cajoled the Wrong brother into test- flying that precarious plane. Lol.
marcus is from the future o_o
i want some too
cant even watch it with the shaking geez give me a headache and the wind noises terrible quality so much that the flying was secondary
its not windy just tirbulance because of trees
Left hand circuit
mas que demonho!!!
Класс и мне ООО хорошо. Нра вится. Скоро я поечу уважением
The Quicksilver MX is the worst thing I have ever flown.
mark r pa thx LOL
kroota
I love to watch anything has to do with flying and ultra lights, but I am totally turned off by this foreign language, if you’re going to publish stuff in the US, then use English
Chem trails in the background lol lmao
Stfu lol lmao rofl
2 AXIS BAD CONTROLE NEED 3 AXIS AND TO SPIEEK AMERICAN
Awww come on now, Russians dont need to worry about no stinking trees and or wind on takeoff and or landings...lol
noisy
А ви где за бугром
very lazy
