Hello! i'm pretty sure the y level only affects hostile mobs, not passive, and the reason you were still getting sheeps cows and pigs so often at the start was because there is only one place for them to spawn
@@louietworek maybe, i’m not entirely sure how passive mob spawning works, but i knew hostile would be more common so bridging down felt smart either way
It's the height map, not the Y level that affects spawning (This is why mobs don't spawn more in caves compared to the surface). It will affect hostile and passive mobs the same. Passive mobs do spawning attempts every 20s instead of every tick so they otherwise would spawn really slowly. 2:27 has good visibility of above.

you can only get regen potion from witches if they are holding the regen potion you probably could have just damaged them and once they finally are holding the regen potion you go kill them with an iron sword not sure if you figured this out later on the video because im only at 8:32 at the video i wish you new this earlier

You don't need water to farm just hoe the ground and plant the seeds once the seed is planted the dirt wont change back.
