I’m 50 years old. The people who are against Bitcoin are the same ones who, in 2000, said that real estate was in a bubble, the same ones who say that the NASDAQ is in a bubble, and the same ones who recommend buying gold and silver. I wasted my life listening to these 'experts. Now that Bitcoin is over $100,000, I have to eat humble pie. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Damn
Thank you Bram for this Bitcoin content as it truly is truly best on the internet - would love to help you and the onramp team grow into the Bitcoin future that is inevitable.
I still think the better question is “what is wealth” since money doesn’t really cover how people have responded to BTC. Wealth includes Health, Well Being, greater concern for the future and mostly Hope+❤ Money doesn’t seem to have that impact on people’s attitude/outlook.😊
Super exciting journey Bram for sure. I would be interested to see an interview concerning the future Quantum Computer threat to Bitcoin. This is a threat to all the cryptography we presently use, including conventional banking and finance and practically all of the internet, and it is going to present an enormous challenge to the whole world to adapt to new Quantum-safe encryption protocols. It could require very significant re-working of Bitcoin and some very difficult and contentious decisions. For example some long locked up Bitcoin addresses with large balances may have to be removed from Bitcoin. It would be great to see a guest who is knowledgeable in this area.
Braum, FID for now only offers what they call cold storage of BTC deposits. FID, reps said they will offer the option in the near future. For me to take custody I would need to withdraw my BTC and move to an exchange that offers self custody, what a hassle and expensive. Next time you have a FID guest ask them about self custody options.
@ SELF custody is really when you take all control of your Bitcoin by using a hardware wallet with a seed phrase. What are you looking for exactly Bryan? You can also check out Onrampbitcoin.com, we offer multi-institutional custody.
He thinks that people who live with shitty currency immediately see the value in Bitcoin? Apparently not, Nobody in Argentina wants Bitcoin, they want US dollars or Tether. People sending money home to relatives would also probably just use USDT. It's not anywhere near as obvious as the wheel, as much as we Bitcoiners would like it to be that obvious, it simply isn't.
Educationally, this might be my best conversation yet. What do you think?

I love how you spoil the whole conversation in the first minute. No reason to watch the whole thing anymore
Ok thanks?
When will Fidelity provide self custody?
only you can provide yourself with self custody ;)

Is there a metric of fully diluted watts per BTC, or something like that?
You mean energy expended per btc?

it is as undeniable as the wheel though ;)
