The Tube was such a great show on channel 4 :) So many memories, love the two cool dancers during its a miracle lol... I wish I could go back to the Eighties, a magical time and George and Helen were so great together.
I LOVE the bdddow! George did on a few numbers and performances. I am now enjoying the perfeormances my younger self missed out on. I am enjoying and eating them up just as much. Cheers for the upload x This was from A Midsummers Night Tube from June 1983 I seem to remember. got this on video tape somewhere, just no player . These were the first plays ever of what came to be classic songs from the `Colour by Numbers` record released in October 1983 just after Karma Chameleon.. So this is totally amazing.....thanks xx
The thing that made Culture Club, beyond the shock and eye liner is that they embraced the traditional composers of the 1960s like.Burt Bacharach and company.
I absolutely love this but I'm sure George must have had a sore throat because his voice sounds very hoarse but still absolutely incredible and it's amazing to deliver such a fantastic performance!!
I recall watching this on the night - If I remember correctly, they had flown in from the US just to play The Tube and George had a bad throat - I thought that it give a great edge to his throat..
