Hey man I get that this may be an old sponsor deal that you're just still tied to, that'd be fine, no one's looking for you to get into legal trouble canceling a contract or anything, just some transparency on that front in a community post or something would go a long way. But if this is a new sponsor deal and you're actually cool working with these scumbags.... yikes
This warms my heart, I grew up in the Midwest so Christianity is everywhere here. Even though I personally myself am an Atheist, a lot of LGBTQ+ people here in the Midwest are Christians. I am happy that there are Christian bands that are protecting trans people and calling out the transphobes!! We have a lot of LGBT churches up here too!
It's funny one of the most LGBTQ+ accepting nations is untra Catholic...because their not interested in controlling an army of hate feuled drone but just want everyone to be happy.
Cis gay man here. I was in ex-gay ministries for 4 years in my 20s. Now I have been married for 28 years to the best man in the world. 5 children and counting. (We pick up kids when they are teenagers and hetero parents have failed.)
@garrettbiehle9714 Now this is what should be called Doing the Lord's work! Just imagine, how many soi-disant Christians would desperately rattle off excuses why they shouldn't/couldn't possibly provide care for children of God, starting with that ol' chestnut "They're not my own children!" They're people whose toxic families guilted them with the inverted, bastardized "Blood is thicker than water" instead of the actual statement *_"Blood from the covenant is thicker than the water from the womb."_* Even more common though (unanimous to every former foster kid I've ever known,) they become part of the problem, introducing children to all manner of abuse... Hopefully, none of yours were forced to endure foster care before your paths crossed! Sorry, I've been stuck in a melancholic mood due to recent "events", so I'm just lamenting.
I can't even imagine how painful that experience must've been, there was a couple months where I kept on seeing TERF stuff and I fed into it and I genuinely never wanted to d*e so bad in my life, I think I spent a majority of those days thinking of how to k*ll myself, so being forced into that would of been the end of me, it's crazy ppl are pushing conversion therapy with all the information we have now :( hope your doing better now 🫂
Lamu, I'm so sorry that you went through that. It's one of those awful things that NO ONE should be put through, yet happens too often. Invisible scars are the effing worst, i'd rather be punched in the face than have my soul tortured. Peace & love to you 💛

ok ngl i was thinking this especially with the furry ones. as a furry, those suits are EXPENSIVE and 99.9% if you own a suit, you're not going back lmao.
@@punksandpoodles I was wondering that to- Those suits looked so adorable and well made, no way they just spend who knows how much money just to drop them for religion.
it is crazy that in all these before-and-afters they go from looking like someone who'd be chill to hang with to looking like they lost all identity and individuality, all the plain homogeneous clothing is a huge red flag
@Lumoskor yeah absolutely, i don't think the clothing is the problem, if you wanna dress plainly that's on you, it's that they're obviously watering down their appearance and sense of style to compensate for their old "sinful" looks, because self expression is satanic i guess?
I mean the before clothing are from cliques or niches as well. Both are homogeneous but just different sides of the same coin. Cults prey on those who struggle with identity and inclusion.
One of the furry ones is fake (the one with the blue dragon and the yellow furry) because that photo was taken at a British event I went to and the blue dragon is still an active furry. The blue dragon also entered a fursuit dance competition last year.

I initially felt bad for not understanding your comment, but understood it from Bug's reply. I'm not a movie enjoyer in general, so don't feel so bad. Everything about this organisation is upsetting, including their deceptive name choice, if I were to think of a 'revival of rainbows', i'd imagine a perfect LGBTQIA+++ utopia, along the feelings of Elton John's delightfully queer I'm Still Standing song & music video. Much like the LGB alliance, that is a deceptive front for trans bigotry, it's just wrong. Sorry if i was rambling, getting upset & need coffee.
@@SmugglersWenchthe most out there Christians believe that queer people "Appropriated" the rainbow as a sign from God, so of course they would Pick a deceptive name like this.
@@SmugglersWench I dare say, it's indicative of a trend with soi-disant "Christians". All of the logical & cognitive fallacies, with none of the accountability, shame or guilt. When the Noble Lie is foundational to their beliefs, I doubt we could divise a "means" they couldn't justify for their own ends... I really don't know how much of it can be ascribed to personal agency, or to church dogma. They don't believe themselves to be bad, so nothing they do can be evil! They're a good person, and only bad people do bad. (Despite the galaxy-sized evidence to the contrary) Good things can only happen to good people, and bad things to bad people. So, (completely disregarding the alleged belief that children of God are supposed to be innocent), a queer kid being deceived must deserve this bad happening to them (I guarantee they'd use passive language like "bad happening to them" instead of acknowledging who's DOING the harm, to absolve themselves of any of the intentional malice that they're absolutely engaging in!) Oh my, if your comment could be misconstrued as rambling, I fear what my own comments give. 😬 Especially the one I posted as a main comment thread, with maybe 20 paragraphs? 💅🏽
I hate when I tell someone I got religious trauma and they say „Why do you just hate all religious people?“ and I‘m like I do not… AND WTF ARE YOU NOT TAKING MY TRAUMA SERIOUSLY?!
That sounds like religious fragility, if I could put a term or name to it (if there's an actual pre-existing term for it, I love to be educated). I also have some religious trauma, half of my siblings from parents first marriage were Jehovah's Witnesses & through time, it completely tore my family apart, I have no one now except my grown up kids. I'm better off without including those in my life who think i'm less than, but things could've been much different. I have 8 sisters & 1 brother, yet I see & hear from none of them.
@@SmugglersWenchsorry to hear you both had to go through something traumatic because of others' faith. Religion can be a great channeler for self-improvement, but often IT leads down the Path of judging and disrespecting others instead.
I still consider myself religious but I absolutely have religious trauma, I'm so sorry that's the reaction you get.. I've gotten that response too and it's terrible.
@@SmugglersWench "Religious fragility" does have a fitting ring to it. Honestly though, I think it's more often than not, akin to what's conventionally called "Main Character Syndrome", and/or good ol' fashioned Narcissistic abuse. They aren't interested in discussions which they aren't being centered, and since for whatever reason they've found themselves in this discussion, it must become all about them! Somehow, the anguish of another person is actually about them, is their fault, or their cause to take offense or rage against. It's a byproduct of having apathy/antipathy where their empathy should reside. I truly believe it's a natural result of the church, regardless the denomination. But, it definitely gets worse depending on the denomination! Jehovah's Witness and JCLDS Church being 2 of the absolute worst. Prime example would be the unspoken reason underlying both churches forcing their members to do door-to-door proselytizing. It has very little to do with encouraging new members, and everything to do with reinforcing Church control. They want their members to be subjected to all manner of violence, and often! What better way for them to juxtapose the "innocent gesture" of delivering the good word, inexplicably being met with such "extreme, obscene & irrational" reactions from the public. It must be from all of that sin those Godless heathens out there are living in, right? I imagine you traversed this gauntlet as well during your time? Feel free to answer if you feel up to it, it's more of a rhetorical question. It's one of their most successful manipulation tactics, specifically because no-one suspects they're being intentionally pitted against people whose righteous anger against the church is most times absolutely warranted (if somewhat misdirected toward proselytes.)
God made me who I am, and I'm a proud trans woman. I thought I was accepted at a church until the pastors father came and preached hate from the pulpit. I never looked back to that church, I worship my god in private. God made me and accepts me the way I am. I will never change for someone who preaches hate from the pulpit. Your heart is not determined by how you present and who you love. I am disgusted by the hateful acts performed in "gods name." Jesus loved everyone. Is that so hard for these people to understand?
It makes me so sad and angry when people preach against God's love. I'm glad that you know your path, and have the strength to walk it rather than be taken in by those who would try to make you lesser. If you want to seek out church community again (big "if", it's not for everyone), I've found that United Church of Christ and Methodist churches are actively affirming of LGBTQ+ folk, which has meant a lot to me. Regardless, may the light of love be with us all. To me, that's the important part.
I’m so glad you were able to hold tight to your faith despite the hate being thrown your way! I’ve been trying very hard to do the same. Still… I don’t really feel comfortable calling myself a Christian anymore because the mainstream versions have gotten so wicked over the years 😢
I am so sorry to hear that there have been people out there being judgemental and hateful towards you. I am glad you didn't let these people bring you down. The God I believe in indeed loves all and makes no distinction whatsoever. Keep living your truth and remember that you are loved❤🤲

In the 00s, Rainbow Revival was called Love Won Out. My parents dragged me to a conference. I was also sent to a retreat in Texas. The pseudoscience they spouted was completely unbelievable, even to my 14-year-old self. I'm still haunted by those memories today. I just thank all the amazing LGBT people and allies who protested outside the conference, making me feel seen as I was trapped in that situation as a teen.
there's theistic and atheistic satanism. you could probably find a pdf of the satanic bible by anton lavey somewhere online. whether or not you decide to go down that path it's an interesting read.
As a trans Christian I thank you for differentiating and recognising that not all Christians are evil. And thank you even more for speaking up against conversion therapy. It's horrible that so many people use their religion to justify their bigotry, not seeing the harm they're causing.
I'm also a transgender Christian. (Episcopal/Anglican) My "Christian glow-up" was taking testosterone, no joke. My faith and my soul are so intertwined. Stand against the empire for the Kingdom ✌️
btw, autistic kids are still going through conversion therapy in every state (ABA). Hate towards autistics needs to stop. Neurotypicals should learn empathy and workplaces shouldn't be able to fire us for asking for accommodations. This happens to almost every autistic adult (being discriminated against and bullied in the workplace by neurotypicals. That's why we have a high unemployment and suicide rate yet on average have average to above average IQs.
I'm happy to say that much of the ABA field is making serious effort to listen to people who grew up in ABA therapy. There's still far too much shitty ABA therapy going on, but the situation is improving.
Contrapoints really hit the nail on the head with her "The Hunger" video with how these people act and sound. Like, the incomprehensible gibberish they spout, the hard turn to heteronormativity after getting their hearts broken. The profiting off the pain and suffering of the people they're meant to be in community with. It's... A lot.
Ty talkin about his hyper fem phase hit home with me so much. I used to love my short hair and always being one of the boys until a year before my transition where i coped so damn hard that i bought a shit TON of make-up and tried to act girly? The sad part is i never received so much good feedback in my life than in that phase and i absolutely HATED it every time i received a compliment. But hey after my medical transition i kinda like make-up now turns out i had to be my true self to enjoy dressing up who wouldve guessed.

I had a similar experience, too. I wasted my time from 18-32 trying my damn hardest to be feminine and to try to enjoy it but it really sucked. I hate any of the clothing that isn't a costume/cosplay (because I like to larp but even then I hate being treated like a girl), I hate having to look a certain way so that strangers are happy with my body. I stopped trying to live for the expectations of strangers who expect to own my body. I finally started transitioning at 37. Much happier now.
Sometimes you gotta be a real man before you’re ready to try wearing makeup 💪💄 All kidding aside, you’re exactly right, doing gendered stuff is WAY easier once you’re feeling confident in your gender. A lot of stuff we’d otherwise love doing is low-key spoiled because we haven’t let go of the baggage associated with it. It’s kinda hard to be a dude rocking makeup if you still feel like wearing makeup makes you a girl. Glad to hear you’re in a place where that doesn’t apply anymore 😊
that’s what i’m saying. like, no shirley, that’s transHUMANISM, you’re getting your trans’s confused again. no no no, not transFORMERS either, those are fictional machines-
So, by their logic, if I as a gay man married a trans man. I would be okay in Gods eyes? Or would he have to detransition and live/present as a woman? Also, while I'm here, love your videos Ty.
I was thinking about this sort of thing in terms of cis/trans same sex relationships, since my country has "marriage is between a man and a woman" in its CONSTITUTION (🙃), what would happen if I, as a gay trans guy, married a hypothetical gay cis guy BEFORE legally changing my sex (since we can legally transition), and then later changed it? are we like forced to divorce? it doesn't even have to be on purpose like it would be in my case, one person in a previously cis/cis straight relationship can realize they're trans at some point in their marriage, and again, what then?
i highly doubt most transphobic straight men would sleep with a trans guy. like, they’d call ty a woman, but if he asked them out they’d be all “i’m not gay!”
@minjaarsic3327 very interesting take, idk where in the world you are but maybe there is a lawyer you can speak with and get some answers, you may have found a legit loophole
According to all the homophobes I know, it's only a sin if bottom surgery. So trans lesbian/trans gay + cis lesbian/gay relationship would be okay pre bottom surgery. And presumably a cis/transhet relationship would be okay after???
This is incredibly sad, LGBTQ+ christians should set up more spaces where they can just be themselves, and encourage others to be themselves whether that's through their Lord or not.
I'm not religious, but I go to a couple of trans support groups that are held at churches that were kind enough to donate space. (One is at an Episcopalian church, and the other is at a Unitarian-Universalist church.)
Conversion therapy is permanently damaging. Sadly there is a group if cults which identify as Christian, but, in my opinion, are very far from it. Sadly, homophobia and transphobia are prevalent within these groups, and conversion therapy is a sign of that. By the way, I grew up as a Quaker, in the UK, and I can say that they were (with a few notable exceptions) very accepting of who people were.
I'm Catholic, my priest is chill AF, he just want's people to believe and be happy in their faith, even the one before him was a showman, and neither did the Bible bashing thing. About a year after the riots in Croydon an incredibly old school one moved (from Croydon, I'm sure there's no connection 🧐) to the other church in my town, there was a mass exodus from that one to mine. It makes me sad that I lucked out with religious leaders, they should be the norm not the exception.
There’s a Quaker church right by one of my fav icecream places where I live, and they always have their pride flags up in June and are often doing charity and volunteer work, based on what their sign usually says. Idk if I ever met any of the folks who go there, but every time I hear about all the homophobic Christians I think about Christians like them and how they’re unafraid to show love and support to folks who need it.
I sometimes think that, too, that certain Christians groups today are cults, and are outliers. But when I look back at mainstream Christians before the civil rights/Vatican 2 era, the only difference from the culty groups today was that their values were normalized so they didn't have to act as extreme and didn't stand out as extreme (ie most people were homo and transphobic, didn't allow body autonomy or rights for women, exploited animals and the planet, etc). So I actually think that most of Christian history is socially repressing/anti-humanist with pockets of radicalness and a core of vague "love" that can be read in many different ways. That being said, that vague core of love and the increasing interest in the radical aspects has allowed Christianity to evolve and catch up with humanism to some degree, which I appreciate.
@@PrincessFidelma sadly being a faith leader comes with a certain power over people and fetid souled people love to exploit that.. even parts of the bible warn of false profits but if the profit dont share that part of the bible with his congregation it will make those unquestioning faithful easy prey. always pick up your own bible read it, turns out some parts of it are very interesting. tho do be careful of misinterpreting.
As a Catholic watching this video, I loved that comment at the end. The whole idea of “God doesn’t make mistakes so you must not be lgbtq+” makes no sense to me bc that means they think that is a mistake, which is inherently not true. As a neurodivergent person, I used to struggle with the idea that if God doesn’t make mistakes why did He chose to make me this way. It took realizing that there is nothing wrong with me, my brain just works differently. If anything, God may have made me this way in order to spread awareness, acceptance, and destigmatization. I think it is similar for LGBTQ+ people. God didn’t make a mistake by making you LGBTQ+, that was his intention. Jesus’ whole message was to love one another and be kind and compassionate. God made you LGBTQ+ to live authentically as yourself and in doing so teach others about love and acceptance of diversity and who you were made to be which is your true authentic self.

I'm absolutely sure many of these are fake - especially the furry ones. As a furry i can tell you that getting a fursuit is usually one of the last things any furry ever does. Fursuits tend to cost literal thousands and you have to be a very dedicated furry to want to spend that much money on your hobby. And once you are that deep in the fandom i find it very hard to believe that you would give it all up for god since the furry fandom spreads acceptance and holds inclusivity at a very high standard. Once you have spent so much time in the furry fandom that you have a fursuit AND a furry partner that ALSO has a fursuit you have most likely also adopted a very inclusive mindset and that makes it very unlikely to me that at least the furry ones are true but probably also a lot of the other ones. Some of the people in some pictures don't even look similar... Thx for coming to my autistic overanalysis fellow queers
I understand what you mean here, but the phrasing "getting a fursuit is usually one of the last thing any furry ever does" makes it sound really ominous. I love it :3
I really just want to cry for the folks who detrans because of stuff like this. I completely and 100% respect detrans folks if it's for your safety, for health reasons, for economic reasons, or if you realise that that life isn't for you. I 100% love and respect you and understand. Because a lot of detrans folks come back and transition, it's just right now, it's not the best time. And that's fine. But man, people who detrans because of religious reasons, because they feel like that would better serve them, OR for other people (and not for the above reasons I mentioned), my heart just breaks.
This reminds me of people on Tumblr in 2012 jokingly posting about how the site turned them gay, like one person would show before and after of their average 15 year old self and ultra-gay 18 year old self, and someone else would reblog with their middle school portrait as “before” and a drag queen as “after”…. Except this goes the other way, and I’m not sure about all of em, but some are definitely very serious. Not that I’m directly comparing Tumblr to god of course. Since Tumblr exists and all…

I am a Christian, transgender, and even a furry. And these do not have to be mutually exclusive from each other. I worship in my fursuit, at an accepting church (Metropolitan Community Church), and do Community outreach.
@CortexNewsService keep in mind that most fursuits are either thousands of dollars, or entirely selfmade. (My suit is selfmade except for the head, and I refurbished the head) Heat can be accounted for and mitigated with special materials (ex Neoprene, Lycra and Spandex) that wick sweat away. Blow a fan over that (or even have wind blowing if you're outside) and you can dissipate a lot of heat. I have a full digitigrade (the ones with the huge thighs and bendy ankles) suit that I've worn in 110° heat without issue. The fur also blocks sunlight from the skin, so it's not quite as hot as you might expect.
@@CortexNewsService Some fursuits have built in fans that allow air circulation. Certain fursuits have lots of ventilation through large eyes, mouths, or mesh covered holes or “vents.” People may wear cooling vests with cushioned ice packs that cool them off. You can also take frequent breaks during suiting of course, 😂.
Let’s gooooooo, I thought you might pop up somewhere in the comments! 😁 Also, checking your page, you were in a DANCE COMPETITION?! what was that like in the suit?
some of that looks like they pulled pictures from the internet and posted for the attention. Or one account they pulled the whole thing just for attention and likes. the faces didn't match and were way too filtered to tell if they were the same. Total bs
I relate a lot to that wlw Tik Tok. In my worst moments of trans questioning I turned to religion or confession or sermons because I was so upset and so desperate. Though there is an irony to turning to a religion that caused so much pain sometimes it is the only comfort, so no hate. I hope queer people going through the same can eventually find comfort in whatever it is that helps :)
It's not the people exploring their gender identity that's the issue, it is them equating a previous (often more queer and alternative) version of themselves to being demonic and evil. Being queer isn't evil, and presenting that way and then changing later isn't repentance as it was never bad to begin with
any time i hear anything related to conversion therapy, im reminded of Leelah Alcorn. She would’ve been my age if she was still alive. her suicide note and old blog are preserved on the wayback machine after her parents deleted it and buried her under her dead name. i’ll never forgive the people and culture that abused her and i’ll always remember that Her Name Was Leelah Alcorn.
He knows about the concerns with better help. He still defends them though just because the service worked for him. He linked a post , claiming that better help is changing themselves but that doesn't erase the harm it caused on thousands of people
Just as existentially horrifying as I Watch the TV Glow, but in cruel reverse. Finding yourself, but deciding to drown instead, smiling a manufactured smile that represents a fear of fictional eternal flames more than it expresses You. I shake my head seeing this, and get disgusted by how many more trans and queer people will be forced into this because of Trump, if we aren't made outright criminals. It's a sad, sad world we try to bring light into, but it's so dark sometimes it feels like there's no point in bothering. But we must press on, because giving in to this immoral nightmare of a religion has to end. There's no way forward if we don't discard this misery packaged as prosperity, someday.
what drives me up the wall is the fact that if you try to engage with these people and discuss how harmful this is (suicide and mental illness is so high in ex gay communities) they'll always just tell you that you don't understand and its their choice. Lots of them will statistically come out a queer again in the future. Its not a fair choice when these people were likely all mistreated in their churches for who they were. I wish these people the best honestly, i hope they work through anything they need to.

I used to be a full time missionary - of the Pentecostal variety. I was as deep into Christianity as a person can be, and had been my whole life. I even attended a camp that was quite similar to the one seen in the "Jesus Camp" documentary during several summers growing up. Ironically, it wasn't until seminary and learning more about the history of the Bible and the things most pastors keep from their congregations that I began my journey towards eventually leaving religion behind altogether. I'm now openly out as trans, and while I am unable to medically transition the way I'd like due to health issues (the ability to medically transition being one of many things I feel religion stole from me while younger), I am so much happier now than I ever was as a Christian. Why? Because I was able to admit to myself who I am (who I've always been), to stop trying to force myself to be something that never felt right to me, and to begin earnestly and eagerly seeking knowledge about a wide variety of subjects, adjusting my views based on evidence rather than stubbornly clinging to a predetermined belief system despite overwhelming evidence against it. The devil can scrap... but he's make believe, so who the fudge cares? Live, learn, and love... because learning and loving leads to the best type of living. 🏳️🌈💙🏳️⚧️
One of my best friends from grade school is a pastor now, and y'all would not believe the hate he gets for being progressive. His whole thing is, "God made you how you are, and who are we as people to judge that?" It doesn't help that he's a queer black man. He had to stop posting his sermons online because crazy ass people kept being racist and homophobic towards him, as well as harassing members of his congregation, which is really sad because he'd always have comments from queer Christians wishing they could go to his church because he's clearly such a loving and welcoming person. But you gotta put safety first. Anyway. Shout-out to the good Christians who remember that the bible preaches love. It's bad when my atheist ass is a better example of biblical teachings than some Christians are.
Holy shit man, if this doesn't prove why I am not so trusting and fond of many kinds of religions, then Idk what else would tell you here otherwise like yeah🥶🥶🥶
14:20 the images of the person first behind a colorful wall and a smile and the second image with this person behind the fence. The symbolism of the fence is really telling. I think that one has to be a joke or just really poor imagery. Trapped in their gender roles in society.
Not only that but that person's smile was a lot weaker than the before picture. I normally try not to speculate about people's identities but there is something to be said for the imagery and the signs of possible struggle. You worded this better than I could, about the fence.
Very disappointed to see you platforming BH. Between the mistreatment (overworked, underpaid) of therapists, selling patient data for use in advertising, and myriad bad experiences on the patient side, they are NOT A GOOD COMPANY. Unfortunately, they’re really good at squashing dissent and sending cease-and-desist notices, so many who try to speak out get their videos removed. But please please look into it, and consider stopping hawking such an unethical and exploitative company 😔
My man, I appreciate your production here and the message you're trying to communicate with it. I also appreciate that TH-camrs need to squeeze as much monetization as possible to make a living off it, but I feel like you should research some of the sponsorship offers you receive, especially in regards to Better Help. They've been in no small controversy and I'm sure you'd prefer not to be associated with them if you were aware of what they did.
Ty’s mentioned in the comments that Betterhelp’s been taking the criticism to heart and changing their practices, and has had another therapy channel’s approval after the controversy! I’m still reading up on this since it’s still news to me, but it seems like they’ve shaped up since the controversy began
gay christian here! God knows the desires of our hearts and He wouldn’t put them there for no reason. why would He create someone to be attracted to the same gender or trans just to be like “just kidding you can’t do that”? like Gaga said “i’m beautiful in my way and God makes no mistakes” 💚
Wow. Watching this makes me so sad. Not only for the people who have been taken over by these awful idealogies, but also because I know that most of my own family members would look at this trend and be so proud and happy for thsoe people, and probably wish that it were me. It's awful when they say they love you, but they don't love the "life you chose"... I'm 25 and it's taken a decade for me to even get to a point where I'm completely distanced from those family members and I'm still holding empathy and understanding for them, and hope that they'll change their views and accept me as I am, but unfortunately they'll probably die with those beliefs, and unfortunately for them, I won't miss them.
As a pagan, who isnt on tiktok much, ive literally ONLY seen this song with pagans using a picture of them in a church and them now at their Deities altars The whiplash to this is crazyy
Regardless of all the aesthetic changes, a lot of these photos look like “after and before” pictures. It looks like most of the “satanic” pictures are either people who are confident and comfortable in their own skin, or at least folks who aren’t afraid to be who they are. But most of the “godly” pictures seem to be folks who look genuinely angsty even being perceived. Respectfully, they look like I looked when I was a super religious closeted trans kid, and even if they’re not specifically trans that discomfort seems to still be there. Idk, the whole thing looks like the light is leaving people’s eyes and that really sucks, ngl.
What im annoyed about with this trend is that so many of them just put a random photo of alt person and pretend its them and obviously the conversion stuff lol
This leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth because one of my partners became so close to being one of those people. (I call him my husband, but it's not legally binding.) When I met him in 2017, he was struggling so badly with his internal homophobia. We were good friends, and I was trying to get him to accept that he could be Christian AND gay. Then, he disappeared from my life, I only saw him 2 or 3 times in 5 years. He was back to struggling. But when I almost unalived myself in a really bad way, he was with me in the hospital and he was bawling his eyes out. A month later, he told me that he was in love with me, and we've been together ever since. His dad is pissed that he's with a transgender pagan, but he doesn't care about his opinions anymore. We're happy 😊
My first husband went into pray the gay away “treatment” after he tried to kill me for the 3rd time. I’d discovered his boyfriend and told him it was OK and that made him have a break with reality. I divorced him and he married another poor girl (when he was 32 and she was 19) who had two kids with him. I was keeping an eye on her social media because I felt like she might need help escaping someday, but she went quiet. It took me several years to find out she and the kids were still alive. I don’t know if she escaped him, but I know his internalized homophobia made him extremely dangerous.
I’m a trans man who grew up in a very conservative Christian household, after I came out to my parents they became obsessed with Rainbow Revival and especially people who have detransitioned. It’s been six years and they still insist on calling me by my deadname and seem blind to the fact that I’m so much happier and more stable than I ever was pre-transition.

Just imagine, how many soi-disant Christians would desperately rattle off excuses why they shouldn't/couldn't possibly provide care for children of God, starting with that ol' chestnut "They're not my own children!"
They're people whose toxic families guilted them with the inverted, bastardized "Blood is thicker than water" instead of the actual statement

I put that on when my lesbians came round for a sleep over
I initially felt bad for not understanding your comment, but understood it from Bug's reply.

So, (completely disregarding the alleged belief that children of God are supposed to be innocent), a queer kid being deceived must deserve this bad happening to them (I guarantee they'd use passive language like "bad happening to them" instead of acknowledging who's DOING the harm, to absolve themselves of any of the intentional malice that they're absolutely engaging in!)
Oh my, if your comment could be misconstrued as rambling, I fear what my own comments give. 😬

It's one of their most successful manipulation tactics, specifically because no-one suspects they're being intentionally pitted against people whose righteous anger against the church is most times absolutely warranted (if somewhat misdirected toward proselytes.)
if they want someone that hates all religions equally, send them to me!😉
God made me who I am, and I'm a proud trans woman.
I'm glad you found joy in a religion

I love it :3
the dragon was confirmed to not be a part of this nonsense, so that one was fake.

Since Tumblr exists and all…
Please stop taking Better Help sponsorships if you are financially able to.
Edit: I noticed your reply to a comment somewhere in jere and read the post about Better Help. I was unaware they made those changes.
Yep, im all for making your dollar but if you care about ethics please dont let them sponsor you!
Many of the before pictures ppl used on the audio trend was of some other person ik cuz multiple ppl called it out saying " that's not you that's me " n their accounts on insta back it up.
Imagine how flabbergasted these people would be if someone told them Jesus has a fursona... Two actually. Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God 🤣

That'd be funny to be honest
I was hoping you'd run into one where the 'devil scrapping' slide was a normal photo of a person, and then the 'lord has won' slide would be them dressed in an elaborate fursuit, but the transwoman was just as good.
5:40 That blue fursuit is so unique and cute, just makes me sad that one, I mean all of them do. They just become the same cookie cutter copy pasted look.
It's sad seeing these people lose their uniqueness. :(
I found their furaffinity (soulsilverIV) and at least six months ago they still posted furry art and they last liked artwork a week ago, so they are definitely still active in the fandom. Maybe you can find something else using the tag "seventh void" in the pictures corner on the internet. I personally believe many of these posts to be made by someone else using random pictures from the internet and i have explained in another comment here why i think that the furry ones are most likely all fake
@@ohnothepossum Right, yeah I did have an inkling that the furry ones were fake. You don't just buy a $5-10k suit and then drop it all.
Because it's fake. The blue dragon is @soulsilveriv on Bluesky and the character's name is Arkie. I'm not sure who the canine is though.

kind of unfortunately ironic that a video against conversion therapy is sponsored by betterhelp.
This part 9:26 made me sad the most. As a, trans woman. I just... This is disturbing. At least I was a Christian first then I learned critical thinking then I stop denying the facts and logic. Now an athiest. A trans woman athiest. ❤
Me too! I was really late though and now I might have to be forced to be a boy and forced to follow Xtianity.
Critical thinking? I’m also trans but Christianity isn’t denying facts at all, you can’t prove god doesn’t exist and I can’t prove he does. It’s all up to personal belief, but you make it sound like you think Christians and religion are stupid or you’re better than them. Kinda surprising cuz that’s usually what religious people do to atheists lol
Do better :/

Just want to let everyone know that their is a specifically queer Christian denomination called the Metropolitan Community Church. Their doors are open for you.
Not all the way through the video yet but it's been a rollercoaster so far. First as a lifelong alternative person I was a bit angry, then when you got to that person who went from presenting fem to graduating bible college dressed up like a copy paste cis white american I got suuuuper sad, then when it got to rainbow revival I was back to angry.
I did 34 years under the false impression that I was straight and the five years since coming out have been the best of my life and I'd genuinely rather fucking die than go back in the closet cos I spent decades in there wishing I was dead.
Guys what happened to “love thy neighbor??” god really needs to drop “politely ignore thy neighbor if you don’t agree with their lifestyle”
this trend unironically makes me want to start dressing alt again. its not rlly my scene but i dont want ppl to think im a jesus freak. im actually evil and i love the devil ... i guess.......
I am a Christian, transgender, and even a furry. And these do not have to be mutually exclusive from each other. I worship in my fursuit, at an accepting church (Metropolitan Community Church), and do Community outreach.
The only issue I have with furries is when they come to Pride in a full fursuit in summer. Like, how do not get heatstroke?
@@CortexNewsService
Is that actually an ISSUE with you, or merely a "curiosity" that you have?
@@toddbennett7157 totally a curiosity. Mostly trying, and failing, to be a little funny. Furries are cool.
@@CortexNewsService Some fursuits have built in fans that allow air circulation. Certain fursuits have lots of ventilation through large eyes, mouths, or mesh covered holes or “vents.” People may wear cooling vests with cushioned ice packs that cool them off. You can also take frequent breaks during suiting of course, 😂.

some of that looks like they pulled pictures from the internet and posted for the attention.
This is absolutely the last thing we need right meow.
Fur real.
@@LunaBoo12 appreciate it ;)
It's not the people exploring their gender identity that's the issue, it is them equating a previous (often more queer and alternative) version of themselves to being demonic and evil. Being queer isn't evil, and presenting that way and then changing later isn't repentance as it was never bad to begin with
my mom’s planning on taking me to some “group therapy” within the church for “troubled youth”, pray for me y’all ✝️⛪️🛐🙏🏾

any time i hear anything related to conversion therapy, im reminded of Leelah Alcorn. She would’ve been my age if she was still alive. her suicide note and old blog are preserved on the wayback machine after her parents deleted it and buried her under her dead name. i’ll never forgive the people and culture that abused her and i’ll always remember that Her Name Was Leelah Alcorn.
Better help it's an awful therapy alternative, make a research before accepting sponsors
I just did the trend. Tagged you in it, Ty. Gotta spread that trans joy
Hell yeah! Just saw it and reposted 🫡
The BetterHelp sponsorship on this vid is rough
I was so disappointed.
what drives me up the wall is the fact that if you try to engage with these people and discuss how harmful this is (suicide and mental illness is so high in ex gay communities) they'll always just tell you that you don't understand and its their choice.

You worded this better than I could, about the fence.
bro stop w/ the betterhelp sponsor?? everyone knows its scammy, they aren't therapists..
He defends them :/
Very disappointed to see you platforming BH.
9:28 heartbreaking, there's no happiness in those eyes. They can't even fake a smile.
gay christian here!
"Just like white Jesus in the middle east" got me😭😭😭
As a pagan, who isnt on tiktok much, ive literally ONLY seen this song with pagans using a picture of them in a church and them now at their Deities altars
The whiplash to this is crazyy
The trend of going from looking safe to looking like you're about to carry out a hate crime
What im annoyed about with this trend is that so many of them just put a random photo of alt person and pretend its them and obviously the conversion stuff lol

This leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth because one of my partners became so close to being one of those people. (I call him my husband, but it's not legally binding.)
When I met him in 2017, he was struggling so badly with his internal homophobia.
