Hey Louis! I've recently come back from volunteering in the Masai village in Hell's Gate National Park in Kenya which is just a few hours away from Nakuru (Lake Nakuru National Park is absolutely stunning, definitely go!). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to Hell's Gate (it's the place the Lion King was based on!) and I might be able to hook you up with staying in the Masai village! Beautiful scenery and people and it would make an amazing few days of vlogging!
It's refreshing to see someone remain in good spirits when they hit a bump in the road while traveling. Love your vlogs and your positivity Louis! Keep it up :)
I cannot believe you had a 27 hour flight, with a major delay, missed your flight and had to wait around for another one and not once did you complain. I would've collapsed from the stress and anxiety! I wish I could be as laid back and relaxed as you!
My dad was born in Nairobi. We used to love going on holiday to Kenya as kids. We used to go to Mombasa. Not sure what it's like now but the hotels there are nice and the service rivals a lot of other places i've been. Much better then anywhere I have been in North Africa (in terms of service and friendly people) though you do get some bother on the beaches with people wanting to sell stuff. Learn how to say no thank you in Swahili
Oh my gosh! You uploaded a video actually!.... Great. I'm up till 3 to watch the last hockey game for my country against another. Was killing time then I see your vidoe! Thaaanks for showing all of us the world! A lot of us can't even afford a travel to one country, where as you are like...everywhere! & Thank you for being an inspiration for so many. We all love you Louis :-)
Wow, it amazed me how you kept a very much positive attitude to all these delays. I would be so annoyed and pissed off if this happened to me. Glad that you finally arrived with "most" of your language, enjoy your stay :)
Flying can be the worst sometimes. When I flew to Beijing we were stuck on the plane for two hours once we had landed because of bad weather. Not as bad as what you went through but after 7 hours in the air it's not what you want! Props to you for staying so cool :)
Love, love, love Kenya - my husband is from there and I've visited 3 times. Beautiful country, very lovely people. Enjoy!!! Have some mendazi!!! They are like donuts.
I was once flying alone from Paris to London when we were told we had to fly back to Paris mid-way through the flight because the Auto-Pilot stopped working. The worst part was that they announced it in French before English, and all the French people started panicking and I had no idea what was going on.
Thanks Louis! I didn't know what was going on with my dads flight (Melbourne to Argentina via Dubai) until I watched your vlog. Now I know why he still has arrived at final destination even though he left Friday from here in Melbourne! :)
I was in Dubai at the same time as you, but I was coming back home to Australia! My family and I got offloaded on our flight and overall was delayed a full day... I can't believe you were so calm about the whole thing it was literally insane!!!!
That's like a repeat of what happened to me on our way to Australia. We were meant to arrive at Heathrow but we were transfered to gatwic cause we didn't have enough fuel. It affected the rest of out journey.
lol I noticed that too..that's how a passport should be...mine is so nice and I don't even think there's damage done by bending it...only used it a handful of times!
OH MY NO! I wish i was home (KENYA)! Welcome to Kenya :) hope you have an amazing time :D enjoy all the local heritage and amazing hospitality and of course the sun! :D (looking forward to watching more of your vlogs they are amazing and especially making me feel home sick haha....)
Was the landing rough in nairobi airport because it was for me. I never actually got to go to nakuru narionwl park when i went there but my cousesns camped in the national park, they said it was really cool and they could hear the animals outside
I had a similar experience with Emirates, flight from Bangkok delayed 4 hours, missed connection to Gatwick, ended up in a queue with around a thousand other people for 11 hours waiting to get to the front of the queue to rebook, worst day ever!
Al Maktoom airport is in Dubai, its actually not that far from Dubai International Airport, something like 70 Km away from DXB. So you weren't actually outside of Dubai when the plane landed and refueled
Dubai is absolute crap with lines... It took us about 4 hours to leave the airport once which is ridiculous. Emirates are such a good airline though especially with luggage transfers.
well theres alot of planes that land in dubai and its a huge airport so delays happen usually in a huge airport when alot of people land and Delays start
Yeh I understand that but i landed in a non peak hour time & I have been to many international airports and Dubai even with a short line took forever. Also none of the staff were very helpful giving us information on where we specifically had to go. (Signage was also crap) & I was at the Emirates terminal so only Emirates planes were there. The best thing though was when we got delayed because of closure at our arriving airport we were given a hotel & 2x meals. There lunch buffet is AMAZING
ur going to kenya lucky u . i have been there a couple of times and its absolutely amazing u should diffently go to the massi market and go check out mobasa but go by train cuz by the plane is kinda boring
wow louis first u r goin to so many countries and flights are always delayed and yet u r so calm and all.. and u hv to edit all the videos!! what?! u r a true traveller, u need a partner tho its gonna be real cool! boom live the adventure !

Not to promote anything but there are some pictures of the village, the people and the scenery of Hell's Gate on my instagram: charlieekemp :)
"The local time is 16 degrees and the local time is 6AM."
I thought I had just heard it wrong lol
Seems like you're always on the go! Makes the vlogs so much fun!
God I would have been so stressed out, I don't know how you keep so cool.
Local time is 16 degrees... Haha! No-one expects fog like that in Dubai!
Louis your ability to stay calm and just go with the flow in life is truly inspiring. Love you!!
Your videos make me feel so positive and happy about life. You're so relaxed and kicked back...best way to live I think. Thanks Louis! :)
It's refreshing to see someone remain in good spirits when they hit a bump in the road while traveling. Love your vlogs and your positivity Louis! Keep it up :)

So happy that you made it safely! I'm excited to hear more about your adventure in Kenya :)
I cannot believe you had a 27 hour flight, with a major delay, missed your flight and had to wait around for another one and not once did you complain. I would've collapsed from the stress and anxiety! I wish I could be as laid back and relaxed as you!
I would definitely want you as a travel parter, you stayed so calm throughout that entire thing! I would have panicked!
Those flight attendants are gorgeous. I don't know how you stay so upbeat through all this crazy stuff, Louis!!! You've got a gift bro!!! Beautiful!!!
Hey at least now you can check stuck on a plane off your list :)
Your pilot on your flight to dubai was dutch for sure haha! The accent gave it away.
hahah yup, thought exactly the same ;D
i could hear it too!
Emirates have pilots from every continent of the world (-:
Jup I heard it immidiatly. You can recognise the Dutch accent
You're so calm and relaxed even after such a long trip
You're so chilled about everything! I'd be so stressed out
He said "The local time is 16 degrees centigrade"
I love how even through all of the things that went wrong you STILL stayed so positive! You're great Louis, hope you have a great trip :)
No matter what you're always so positive! You truly are an inspiration Louis!!!

By acting normal, yeah he is on a plane, but its a great plane :D Emirates is life!
Oh my gosh! You uploaded a video actually!.... Great. I'm up till 3 to watch the last hockey game for my country against another. Was killing time then I see your vidoe! Woah! Six degrees is pretty late!
6 degrees is pretty late????? Whhaaa
the flight attendant said the time was six degrees...
Wow, it amazed me how you kept a very much positive attitude to all these delays. I would be so annoyed and pissed off if this happened to me. Glad that you finally arrived with "most" of your language, enjoy your stay :)

Love, love, love Kenya - my husband is from there and I've visited 3 times. Beautiful country, very lovely people. Enjoy!!! Have some mendazi!!! They are like donuts.
your videos inspire me to travel the world and see as much as I can! looks like you have so much fun and always busy,
I was once flying alone from Paris to London when we were told we had to fly back to Paris mid-way through the flight because the Auto-Pilot stopped working. The worst part was that they announced it in French before English, and all the French people started panicking and I had no idea what was going on.
Jeez that had to of suck. I probably would've had a mini panic attack not knowing why they were panicking.

Pretty cool seeing you go to places I've been loads of times, love dubai!
love all of your videos, they inspire me
When you miss a connecting flight, and have to get another one, do you have to pay the full ticket price again? Always wondered that..
That's like a repeat of what happened to me on our way to Australia. We were meant to arrive at Heathrow but we were transfered to gatwic cause we didn't have enough fuel. It affected the rest of out journey.
Stayed in this airport so many time. At least Emirates is a nice company to fly with. Enjoy Kenya, the rift valley is awesome.
