Can I just say, thank you for being so kind to the flight attendants even though you were inconvenienced. Mistakes happen and their job is definitely not an easy one. There's never a need to be rude over something simple and you showcase this wonderfully!

Your videos by far are my favorite style of any aviation youtubers. I'm sure you are busy with irl things, but hoping you do return to making videos, I really miss them!
Finnair is an airline I would never hesitate to recommend. As you mentioned, their flight attendants are quite wonderful, but I also like their fleet in general (with the A330s and especially the A350s). Besides that, Helsinki is quite a nice airport. Not terribly big, but well organized, and their business lounges are very decent too. I flew with them a few times between Helsinki and Tokyo when it was the shortest route to there, but yeah, the current situation has not done them any favours. Even so, one particularly nice thing about flying with them between Tokyo and Helsinki is being able to fly over the North pole, and getting a small "diploma" to show for it.
Had to chuckle at 15:20. "I'm sorry to bother you but I need a knife." So Canadian. Actually it looks like a number of items were overlooked on the meal service. Besides the cutlery, I noticed your breakfast croissant and roll had butter but were missing the honey, jam and Nutella mentioned in the menu. Perhaps the mishmash of the three airlines flustered the routines of the crew.
I see your video was filmed a year ago. And I couldn't care less. Every video from you is just pure entertainment and a masterpiece. It's so nice to keep these reports light and humorous. I've flown business on Finnair on the A350 and you got lucky with this. Finnair is superb with the best cabin crew, not in your face, just super efficient. I can't praise Finnair enough.

Interesting fact: this was similar experience at Tampa International Airport. Lufthansa used to operate out of Tampa to Frankfurt, before slowly handing it over to Eurowings. Of course, during the travel boom of 2022, Eurowings used Finnair's A350s for their services. So, it was really interesting to see a Finnair A350 parked at Tampa.
omg thank you for covering wi-fi and actually mentioning wether it's stable and its speed. I would trade good food and service for an okay-ish internet on all flights, but all the old-timey reviewers never even bother to use it.
Munich airport is superb, extremely well-conceived terminal/satellite with great amenities and gates featuring extensive apron views. Thanks for the informative review, I noticed a Finnair aircraft last summer at YUL and was surprised there might be a flight to Helsinki.
@ibrplayz892 In his latest community post (1 year ago) he talked about getting a degree and setting up some business. So I'm guessing he's busy with that at the moment. But I do hope he returns soon!
I write this before it has primiered! But the same to me as you 😉 I booked a ticket from Frankfurt to Orlando with Lufthansa, who changed my ticket to be Eurowings Discover operated by Finnair and the same happened for my return ticket I would actually say that the trip out was fantastic even though we were 2 hours delayed (and was 20 minutes delayed on a 40 minutes connection). Crew were sweet and helpful and just overall a good experience! It was a totally different experience home, where the crew almost tipped over to being rude. But would still do it again.
I just came across this channel and I really live your travel walkthroughs. I really appreciate the lead in when you ask each flight attendant for permission. That's really considerate 👍
Just as a reminder: there is a big difference between Eurowings (LH‘s low cost European subsidiary) and Eurowings Discover, which is Lufthansa‘s leisure/vacation subsidiary. They are not meant to be „low cost airline“ in the classical sense. That is why you have a „real“ business class (current Lufthansa hard product) on the Eurowings Discover A330s. Your flight was a Eurowings Discover flight operated by Finnair. Too bad that younger auch a bad food experience. Normally food is extremely good at EW Discover a s way above Lufthansa. Last note: just recently it was announced that Eurowings Discover will be rebranded as Discover. Only „Discover“. This will come with a new livery of the planes to make a clear cut from (low cost) Eurowings

I had a similar experience once, I was supposed to flew to Istanbul in Turkish Airlines, but changed the flight into its subsidiary company AnadoluJet but plane was from Sun Express, love child of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa
It's interesting how they went to Finnair since they aren't in Star Alliance. But they had the planes since Russia is off limits now as you pointed out, so it fills in a gap quickly. I digress, but another gem of a video! The cinematography and dry humor is great. Despite this video from 2022, it's nice to see a busy airport again in your videos. The quiet airports were unique, but sad back in 2020 and 21.

The beginning of the flight part with the kinda sad music that emphasizes the loneliness of solo travelling, with a short shot of you staring outside, was absolute masterpiece. I swear to God, i consume youtube content a bit passively, like everybody, but this part really struck a chord. And not in a sad way. It reminded me that i spent 10 years alone, then 10 years married (and still married)with 2 kids. But i really enjoyed my solo life. Appreciating moments for myself and not others.

We flew a Finnair A350 in Biz Class MIA to HEL back in December. It would have been a great flight but for the hour delay (causing us to miss our connection to ARN) due to them merging all their CDG-bound pax into our flight, and then a family of four in the center seats directly opposite our window seats whose kids (both under 3 years of age) did not stop screaming and crying for the entire flight. The parents' way of dealing with it was to turn on all their seat lights to watch movies and read out loud. Eye masks helped with the lights, but even the Bose NC headphones couldn't drown those kids out.
First video I've watched of yours but when you said that "the Lufthansa pillows are terrible stuffed with what I imagine is the public hair of a small mammal" I immediately clicked the subscribe button.

Great video, I did LAS to FRA on this wet lease last September. Great deal as I'd booked a c. $650 rtn Prem Econ booking and the wetleased place had no PE seats. We were given J hard product (second mini cabin) with PE soft. Great flight for o/night back to west coast!

My dream flight (apart from ANA's The Room) would be Finnair A350 Business class, new interiors, out of Helsinki airport--going anywhere, as long as it's a long, long trip.
