Hi I’ve just bought the cricut explore I wanted to ask where you buy your adhesive foil from? I’ve tried the adhesive matte foil that came with my machine I tried it when I peeled it back it didn’t stay on the white backing paper. Do I need to get a new blade for cutting? Thanks in advance
AlishyA Mccullough no. It’s a completely different process. You can get foil HTV but if you want to put foil vinyl on a T-Shirt you need a special transfer sheet. I will do a tutorial on it probably Feb.💋
Crifty Crafty thanks 😊 do you have any videos on how to 'print then cut' on images and texts (foiling) such as a brand logo? I read that it's most efficient only if we use ink printer (to print the non-foil part out) followed by laser printing the part that you want the foiling done. Having great difficulty in this now
Jocelynn Yap I have not done a video on it, it is on my to do list though. I print on a laser printer and then foil using my laminator. To be honest if there were bits I didn’t want foiling I would just print the whole thing on the laser and then either not place the foil over those bits or I would cut out paper and just place them over those parts so the foil does not adhere to them💋
Hi Lovely. Make sure it’s custom set to adhesive foil. Your blade needs to be sharp and clean. Roll a tin foil ball and stab your blade into it a few times. Make sure your foil is adhered to your mat. You could try increasing your pressure and cut to 2x by editing the settings. I have a video on wood cutting, in that video is how to custom change your individual material settings💋
Hi thanks for the video. I’m actually having problem getting the foil to stick to the transfer tape. I use the adhesive foil matte. Do you have any advice?
Linda Rosales is it cutting fully on that setting? When you weed is it coming away from the backing easily? I find it cuts best on adhesive foil. What transfer tape are you using? You really want a clear transfer tape that’s got a fair amount of stick to it. I always burnish the front and then give a really good scrape on the back. Always remove the backing from transfer tape, not tape and vinyl from the backing. It makes life so much easier and it’s easier to control.💋
Thank you for your response. It is cutting all the way through, the problems seems to be the stickiness of the transfer tape, I don’t think it’s enough. I’ll try the way you do it. Thank you so much 😊
Linda Rosales please let me know how you get on. If it doesn’t work then get some Cricut extra strength glitter transfer tape but stick and pull a few times on a cotton pillow before use or it be to sticky💋

Khadijah Patel I just use a funnel but yes you could use a super stuffer depending on what you are placing in the balloon❤️

I am hating the foil I can't get cutter to work is it because I don't have deep cutting needle?
