The MCU wouldn't have looked as good as it did and propelled so fast forward on quality of Winter Soldier wouldn't have been the movie it was. It should be in everyone's top 5 if you consider the world building, storylines, character building, and overall quality of film. That movie made all the movies coming up step their game up.

@@CheefChaos that could definitely be part of it. For me there is a thrill I get from wakanda and arguably the MCU's best antagonist and the music and the way they recontextualize Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman's characters that just make the film so special.
I think the message and allegory storyline is the problem but not the problem at the same time. I think they had two good movies, one of a superhero origin and that family fight, and one of black inequality and the ties to the beginning scene and the end. I think both halves are good, just combined, they didnt make a good movie. I think going hard at a superhero origin and sticking to black panther centric stuff in wakanda would have been good or going fully into exploring the black inequality idea would be good too. Perhaps though letting the black inequality for a sequel so they could get the character introduced in a more classic story then branching out and letting that secondary story and allegory breath in a sequel. Two good ideas mashed together made both weaker and weakened the movie@@CheefChaos
Kevin is right Far from Home was always the end of phase 3, this was mentioned years ago. Even Feige said the sequel to Spider-Man would start immediately after the end of infinity War part 2, which was the title at the time
President C4 id have avengers lower like 8 endgame maybe 7 move up homecoming, iron man like 12 or something age of Ultron I'd keep it where it is black panther like 17 low low down didn't hit me like the other films watched it 3 times and I just don't really care about black panther but I get how impactful he's been but not my cup of tea and maybe swap civil war with winter soldier because it's the best bond movie since casino royal 😂👌
I have a 2 year old, so I’ve seen each of the Toy Story films at least 20 fucking times in the last 5 months. More than once I’ve had to watch all 3 in order in the morning, then watch them in reverse order in the afternoon just to bring some variety into my life. I could probably write a dissertation on the trilogy if I had to. I can go ahead and provide the definitive list. 1. Toy Story 3 2. Toy Story 2 3. Toy Story This is one of those trilogies that gets better with each installment. But even 3 gets old when you’ve seen it this many times.
Shout out to Paula for putting Guardians at #1. She knows what's up. Also I'm really not sure about Mysterio being from an alternate universe. It's certainly possible. Mysterio in the Ultimates universe turned out to be 616 Mysterio controlling a fake body through a portal. Also I can back up what Andy's talking about maybe seeing Ben Mendelsohn in the background of Peter's school at the end of Endgame. I had a definite "hey wait a minute" moment the first time I saw Endgame. Lastly, I think Skrulls are super likely when you consider that there was at least one Skrull left behind at the end of Captain Marvel. When Ben Mendelsohn crashed on Earth at the beginning of the movie, he crashed with three other Skrulls. One of them was the guy that died in the car crash with Fury, then there was science guy that Jude Law killed at the end, but we never see the third lackey after that early chase scene. What happened to that guy? He could have just ended up on that ship at the end off screen, sure. But I dunno. I haven't been able to really get over it since seeing Captain Marvel.
the problem is half of the story issues they'll bring up are solved in the books, and to fully appreciate them you have to have a decent knowledge of the books. Also, I dont think anyone besides Cool Greg is a big enough fan to have read them all and be knowledgeable enough to make good discussion. The Kinda Funny Best Friends ranking is on point, corrects a lot of the issues with the original. Guardians 2 and Spider-man were way too high before (all relative, I still loved both).
Far From Home has Spidey infiltrating Latveria and its setting up Doctor Doom. We don't see or hear anything about him until the end credits. Also, Mysterio is a Doombot. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! this is a theory btw not real spoilers haha

Really disappointed in the upcoming lineup of in reviews. I couldn't give two shits about the Disney remakes. I prefer an in review of a sprawling series. Not 1 movie and a new release. Honestly feels like everything they announced should just be an old school reacts, not an in review.
Harry Potter, lotr/hobbit, Pixar, star wars. I understand if that's not enough for a regular series, if so just take some time off. Call the new release stuff kf reacts. In review felt like a different show because of the overarching debates, comparisons, and rankings.

I don’t love any of the future in-review plans. Why not do all of Pixar, Harry Potter, or other series? In-review has historically been about longer series and not about keeping relevant with movies in theaters. Then again, I haven’t loved MI or FF in review as much as MCU.
Spider-Man leaves Iron Spider at home, and only ever uses the Stealth Spider suit. The normal red Spider-Man suit we see is Mysterio causing problems as Spider-Man. The first trailer is just the red Suit CG'd on him to throw us off with the costume changes.

It was confirmed by the directors that is a real personal thing Robert Downey Jr. Says to his real life kids and wanted to bring that personal connection to his last movie and to the millions of us watching.
Iron Man 2 is GARBAGE. Through and through. It has a great and fun pair of villains, but the story makes no sense and Tony solves NONE and i mean NONE of his own problems. Nick Fury shows up near the end of the film and just goes "here's the cure, here's everything you need to save the day..." and Tony is just like "okay thanks now I'll go fight the bad guy with this new suit I didn't tell anyone about"
Im most excited for Toy Story in Review because that is a my childhood. Also watching them repeatedly the change in animaton is shocking between 1, 2, and 3. Also I hope that after Thanos Marvel starts to desecalte the threat, we got a big bad cosmic level enemy I want the next big bad of the MCU to be a more personal and smaller threat. I want a New Avengers vs Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers. I think the inclusion of the multiverse could lead to an MCU take of the Secret Empire storyline where we get an alternate universe Cap or Tony who comes in pretending to be a good guy and is actually apart of Hydra in their universe.

I dont know the legality of it, but could Sony use the storyline that Marvel has used if they wanted to take the character back for their own uses? they own the character, but could they use holland and his history or characteristics and storyline to build their own within the confines of references and characters? I feel like Mysterio could actually be good the whole time but a Fury Skrull pushes him towards evil by fake betraying him sort of setting him towards Sinister 6 and setting up Secret Wars

Worth noting that the Marvel/Sony deal to use Spidey in the MCU was for 5 films. Civil War/Homecoming/Infinity War/Endgame/Far From Home...that's five. There's a very real possibility that Far From Home is the last MCU Spider-Man film if Sony decides not to extend the Marvel deal.
I didn't think that ended so soon, that would be upsetting. I hope they do renew it, but they might reason that once they've gotten us invested in Tom Holland's Spider-Man, they don't need Marvel Studios anymore.
Sony would be idiots to not do more of a deal. They realistically couldnt attempt their own Spiderman movies for a few years and its a boatload of money now.

They're already paying for production and they get all the profit, so cutting Marvel out doesn't actually lose them anything aside from having Spidey in the MCU. This is why we got garbage like Venom, and why they're making more garbage like Morbius, so when they decide they no longer need Marvel Studios, they have an pre-built universe to drop Spidey into. Hopefully they're smart enough to realize that having Feige oversee production and keeping Spidey as part of the MCU is mutually beneficial, and taking him out of that will very likely hurt any future films, but we'll see. Amy Pascal absolutely hates that Sony is letting Marvel use Spider-Man, so the question is really how much power does she have on Sony once the current deal is up....we'll see...

So Greg, at 44:06 you said something interesting... and now thinking back to the first FFH trailer there are some interesting scenes that have cats in them. Like a bunch of them and since you're bringing up the Skrulls what if those are Flerken post-snap. There's a reason those two were introduced in Captain Marvel and since they weren't in Endgame it also makes sense that they would be there to close out Phase 3 leading into Phase 4 which is said to be the more cosmic era of the MCU. I'm also with Nick... Captain Marvel sucks. I don't like how the Russo's wrote her and I especially don't like how Brie Larson portrayed her because she is so bland and boring. They did my girl dirt. Terrible miscast. Also, since the movies were all released in theaters during November and take place mostly in December... you guys should do HP in Review for the Fall/Winter season. Have each member take the official quiz to get sorted into their respective houses and the wand one as well, and then discuss it in the robes representing your house and with the proper wand in hand.

Age of Ultron is higher on mine compared to others. I like a good Middle Chapter when it delivers, and I feel like Endgame wouldn’t be as good as it was if it weren’t for the setup done in AoU. Plus, I love when a franchise can stick a landing, that’s why RotJ will always be my favorite Star Wars film (unless TRoS can truly tie together 3 trilogies).

@@CheefChaos that could definitely be part of it. For me there is a thrill I get from wakanda and arguably the MCU's best antagonist and the music and the way they recontextualize Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman's characters that just make the film so special.
I think the message and allegory storyline is the problem but not the problem at the same time. I think they had two good movies, one of a superhero origin and that family fight, and one of black inequality and the ties to the beginning scene and the end. I think both halves are good, just combined, they didnt make a good movie. I think going hard at a superhero origin and sticking to black panther centric stuff in wakanda would have been good or going fully into exploring the black inequality idea would be good too. Perhaps though letting the black inequality for a sequel so they could get the character introduced in a more classic story then branching out and letting that secondary story and allegory breath in a sequel. Two good ideas mashed together made both weaker and weakened the movie@@CheefChaos
Kevin is right Far from Home was always the end of phase 3, this was mentioned years ago. Even Feige said the sequel to Spider-Man would start immediately after the end of infinity War part 2, which was the title at the time

I have a 2 year old, so I’ve seen each of the Toy Story films at least 20 fucking times in the last 5 months. More than once I’ve had to watch all 3 in order in the morning, then watch them in reverse order in the afternoon just to bring some variety into my life. I could probably write a dissertation on the trilogy if I had to. I can go ahead and provide the definitive list.

This is one of those trilogies that gets better with each installment. But even 3 gets old when you’ve seen it this many times.

Also I'm really not sure about Mysterio being from an alternate universe. It's certainly possible. Mysterio in the Ultimates universe turned out to be 616 Mysterio controlling a fake body through a portal.
Also I can back up what Andy's talking about maybe seeing Ben Mendelsohn in the background of Peter's school at the end of Endgame. I had a definite "hey wait a minute" moment the first time I saw Endgame.
Lastly, I think Skrulls are super likely when you consider that there was at least one Skrull left behind at the end of Captain Marvel. When Ben Mendelsohn crashed on Earth at the beginning of the movie, he crashed with three other Skrulls. One of them was the guy that died in the car crash with Fury, then there was science guy that Jude Law killed at the end, but we never see the third lackey after that early chase scene. What happened to that guy? He could have just ended up on that ship at the end off screen, sure. But I dunno. I haven't been able to really get over it since seeing Captain Marvel.

the problem is half of the story issues they'll bring up are solved in the books, and to fully appreciate them you have to have a decent knowledge of the books. Also, I dont think anyone besides Cool Greg is a big enough fan to have read them all and be knowledgeable enough to make good discussion. The Kinda Funny Best Friends ranking is on point, corrects a lot of the issues with the original. Guardians 2 and Spider-man were way too high before (all relative, I still loved both).
Far From Home has Spidey infiltrating Latveria and its setting up Doctor Doom. We don't see or hear anything about him until the end credits. Also, Mysterio is a Doombot. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! this is a theory btw not real spoilers haha

Really disappointed in the upcoming lineup of in reviews. I couldn't give two shits about the Disney remakes. I prefer an in review of a sprawling series. Not 1 movie and a new release. Honestly feels like everything they announced should just be an old school reacts, not an in review.
There aren't many movies that are long running series. The only thing would be tv shows.
Harry Potter, lotr/hobbit, Pixar, star wars. I understand if that's not enough for a regular series, if so just take some time off. Call the new release stuff kf reacts. In review felt like a different show because of the overarching debates, comparisons, and rankings.

As an endcap to the series, Endgame was a masterpiece, but it was only a masterpiece, because of the movies that came before it.

Spider-Man leaves Iron Spider at home, and only ever uses the Stealth Spider suit. The normal red Spider-Man suit we see is Mysterio causing problems as Spider-Man. The first trailer is just the red Suit CG'd on him to throw us off with the costume changes.

Iron Man 2 is GARBAGE. Through and through. It has a great and fun pair of villains, but the story makes no sense and Tony solves NONE and i mean NONE of his own problems. Nick Fury shows up near the end of the film and just goes "here's the cure, here's everything you need to save the day..." and Tony is just like "okay thanks now I'll go fight the bad guy with this new suit I didn't tell anyone about"

Im most excited for Toy Story in Review because that is a my childhood. Also watching them repeatedly the change in animaton is shocking between 1, 2, and 3.
Also I hope that after Thanos Marvel starts to desecalte the threat, we got a big bad cosmic level enemy I want the next big bad of the MCU to be a more personal and smaller threat. I want a New Avengers vs Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers. I think the inclusion of the multiverse could lead to an MCU take of the Secret Empire storyline where we get an alternate universe Cap or Tony who comes in pretending to be a good guy and is actually apart of Hydra in their universe.

Worth noting that the Marvel/Sony deal to use Spidey in the MCU was for 5 films. Civil War/Homecoming/Infinity War/Endgame/Far From Home...that's five. There's a very real possibility that Far From Home is the last MCU Spider-Man film if Sony decides not to extend the Marvel deal.
I didn't think that ended so soon, that would be upsetting. I hope they do renew it, but they might reason that once they've gotten us invested in Tom Holland's Spider-Man, they don't need Marvel Studios anymore.
Sony would be idiots to not do more of a deal. They realistically couldnt attempt their own Spiderman movies for a few years and its a boatload of money now.

They're already paying for production and they get all the profit, so cutting Marvel out doesn't actually lose them anything aside from having Spidey in the MCU. This is why we got garbage like Venom, and why they're making more garbage like Morbius, so when they decide they no longer need Marvel Studios, they have an pre-built universe to drop Spidey into.
Hopefully they're smart enough to realize that having Feige oversee production and keeping Spidey as part of the MCU is mutually beneficial, and taking him out of that will very likely hurt any future films, but we'll see. Amy Pascal absolutely hates that Sony is letting Marvel use Spider-Man, so the question is really how much power does she have on Sony once the current deal is up....we'll see...

So Greg, at 44:06 you said something interesting... and now thinking back to the first FFH trailer there are some interesting scenes that have cats in them. Like a bunch of them and since you're bringing up the Skrulls what if those are Flerken post-snap. There's a reason those two were introduced in Captain Marvel and since they weren't in Endgame it also makes sense that they would be there to close out Phase 3 leading into Phase 4 which is said to be the more cosmic era of the MCU.
I'm also with Nick... Captain Marvel sucks. I don't like how the Russo's wrote her and I especially don't like how Brie Larson portrayed her because she is so bland and boring. They did my girl dirt. Terrible miscast.
Also, since the movies were all released in theaters during November and take place mostly in December... you guys should do HP in Review for the Fall/Winter season. Have each member take the official quiz to get sorted into their respective houses and the wand one as well, and then discuss it in the robes representing your house and with the proper wand in hand.
