It needs to be pointed out the ONLY songs Tom does not copywrite or whatever they call it is the songs on his TH-cam channel that have associated videos with them, the only exception is the Brave 2 digital album and the Brave 1 is Digital version only because he has CD only songs that were not digitally released.
Tom is known for his political music, but it's more social commentary, he also does music on Mental Health/Addiction awareness, motivational music, taking shots at the mainstream Music Industry, and clapping back to all his detractors. He produces his own beats and has many styles, from Rap Rock to Country Rap and he even got a #1 on Billboard Pop. His girlfriend Nova shoots all his videos and is a great Rapper herself, they truly keep it a family business. Not sure how it's not obvious that the OP's comment is what I find hilarious, and if you don't, you're obviously one of countless unenlightened, misinformed and ignorant fans of Tom that have absolutely no clue how to inform themselves about the world around them. I mean right off the bat, claiming he's any kind of credible artist is a joke, I don't normally care if people like music that I don't like or even despise, to each their own, but besides people inside the little HOG bubble, Tom's music is widely looked at by EVERYBODY as garbage, and almost unlistenable. And please don't give me numbers and stats, and #1 Billboards, those are all digital numbers you guys run up, no on does real numbers that counts, but are still virtually unknown by America. When Ben Shapiro paid, yes I said paid, to have "Facts" go to #1 on itunes, and the right wing media reported on it for two days, NONE of them knew who Tom was. His Billboard #1 was on a chart that was a sub genre of a sub genre, Tom didn't even break the top 50 and any of their charts that actually matter or are part of the main stream. Not to mention it was a song called "Facts", that literally contained almost nothing but lies, and if you want I can go over it line by line with you and PROVE that it's full of lies.
So we've established his music sucks, lets talk about his social commentary, this is what gets under my skin. Tom's whole schtick is that he couldn't make it as a mainstream or even underground rapper, so he created a character that caters to far right ideology, and drops songs revolving around the latest hot button culture war issue, knowing it will get you morons fired up and actually believing that he's triggering people on the left, or upsetting the "woke mob", when actually he's about as worrisome as a fart in the wind. He's a running joke among leftist that even know who he is. He is not a voice of the people, he does not stand for anything, he does not push back against the system or any type of govt., he carries water and is a mouthpiece for those that want to take our freedoms away and spread division. His messages and dog whistles are so obvious, it's quite sad how you HOGs can't even see it, he spreads hate, promotes violence, and worst of all, he encourages kicking down on other people, and groups, never offering a hand up or a solution. All you ever do is chalk any criticism thrown Tom's way, even legit, logical criticism, up to haters just being haters, it's very much cult like behavior, for real, I studied that in college, you should really open your eyes .
Here's just a few of the many many many mini documentaries or stories debunking all that Tom is. He's a grifter con artists, playing a character, although I'm sure you won't watch, lest your world come tumbling down around you.

Start at Dear Rappers, the song that blew him up, then move forward chronologically. You'll see his growth and why you can't slot Tom into one certain category. He's very versatile.

Welcome to Tom MacDonald and the Hang Over Gang or HOG. What an introduction! 💥🤯 'God Mode' indeed. 🤯🤯 Tom got a lot off his chest with this one. The production is impressive, the bars are outstanding, the flow switches are amazing, the song is inspiring and the video is out of this world. 🔥🔥
Tom is Canadian but has lived in Los Angeles for the past 11 years, 7 with his girlfriend, Nova Rockafeller, also a Canadian and an artist herself. She directs, shoots and edits all his videos. People call him a conscious rapper, but I don't think Tom likes to be labeled. He just pays attention to what's going on and points out the hypocrisy he sees, from both sides. He's a true artist, using his voice to get his message out. Being 💯 independent, he has the freedom to do that. He has no label, no manager, no distributor, no marketing team, he does everything himself from his house, including producing all his own beats, with Nova, his parents, his sister, her husband and a couple of friends as his whole team. He's also got his dual citizenship and is a Canadian- American. Tom has stated publicly his releases are fair use so he will not copywrite your videos. If YT does put in a claim, email Tom and he will take it down. 😁 I would recommend starting at 'Dear Rappers' and 'Hangman' then working forward from there. Many of his songs build off of previous ones. However, a lot of reactors pick a song that sounds interesting and go with it. That way works, too. Whatever you choose, plan to be surprised. Tom is a bit of a Swiss Army knife; he does multiple styles and even crosses genres. My initial introduction to Tom was "Fake Woke", I think it's a good starting point.
His song "best rapper ever" is a punch to the chest.
Honestly up until Tom came out with this one, I never really got into reacts. But he hit it out of the park with this one (props to Nova and Jared as well). Now I'm hooked in, because not only do I want the world to know and love him, its been fun to see their faces and hear their thought processes. I especially love reacts from people who have never seen or heard him before. Love that he addressed all the haters while delivering a positive message in this vid. You started at the top of the mountain on this one. If you wanna see where he started blowing up, “dear rappers” is the first go to vid. Whiteboy was another blowup point, there is a preamble vid to that a behind the scenes before shooting that puts his thoughts in more context. Which will lead you to “this house” where he says he will do things for his family, that in “god mode” he confirmed he did. I could be here all day recommending but I think these are your best introduction to Tom based on the vid you just watched.

So first thing is, your voice is amazing. It's very peaceful and soothing.
To start out with Tom, Dear Rappers is the hit song that made him go viral. It's the debut that put him where he's out now. He has a lot of different music though ranging from political, to addictions, hope, inspirational, and goofy etc.
He has a few songs that are ALL bars, no hook. No Response, I'm Sorry, Don't Look Down, and This House.
He also has a Diss track/Rap Battle (it's mentioned in this song actually). In order it goes Lethal Injection (Tom), Single White Female (Mac), Mac Lethal Sucks (Tom) and Mac Lethal Sucks part 2 (Mac). No Response is basically the end all be all from the diss tracks, basically saying he's done with the diss scene.

This was a 🔥 song! It’s shots fired at Ryan Upchurch, Upchurch’s fan base, and the BA Reactors that hate on him for no reason, other than he’s “GOD MODE” and Upchurch is barely “BEAST MODE.” Upchurch made a diss song about Tom a few months ago for NO reason other than Tom and Adam Calhoun are good friends and made 2 albums together. The Brave One and Two. Upchurch is constant drama and seriously needs an intervention because the dude is honestly spiraling out of control with whatever he’s using.

Loved watching the reaction! This one being first is kinda like jumping into the deep end with Tom lol. He’s got a great story and this was because he had a few other “artists” poking the bear for no reason. So he waited and then dropped this because he won’t battle anymore because it made him feel very negative and then all this bad stuff happened to the guy. To this day that guy will still get people commenting on his stuff about it and it’s been 4-5 years. This also may be Tom’s way of telling people to stop doing that too in a way, he’s saying he got him and wants to move on. Idk I was thinking about that part a lot because he drops the music down and he does that when he really want all of us listening to hear what he’s saying. He was serious about it but also still showing he can do it, he CHOOSES not to do disses even if they keep on (like 1 is doing right now). He’s still posting crap about Tom and it came out of nowhere and is big mad that Tom didn’t say his name. But Tom knows the game and how it works and wasn’t going to, the other guy has numbers too and even did a song ft. Tom. But that artist went and did diss tracks on 10-11 people in one year and NO ONE responded to him. That says A LOT and I think that actually made the guy more mad. Smart Tom 😉.
Anyway, loved the reaction, Tom’s journey is definitely worth your time if you choose to start that. You started at the end lol, but that’s actually totally fine because he constructed this song the way he did for a reason. A lot of people don’t know his story but he had a BIG song a couple months ago that got him new fans and more eyes looking at him. So he rolled all the hate stuff (he addressed it when the one started attacking us….his fans….The HangOver Gang) and he said that was what made him respond. He said they can hate on him but then diss tracks (one guy did several, because he wanted the attention, he was dropping a new album…..I don’t think it did well. The reactors weren’t doing many of the songs from the album and they used to) anyway he added Nova (Tom’s girlfriend) and also added the fans (many also like the guy who was dissing, until he did some really punk moves about Tom) and Tom finally got tired of it and said you can hate on him all anyone wants, but leave out Nova, his family, and his fans, they were off limits. So he was able to turn their hate into this and I think he did a great job ☺️. Tom is definitely worth your time, also he comes with all of us HOG (hangovergang family). It’s true, we show up and support reactors who react to his music. As long as your fair, you don’t have to agree with everything he says that’s ok, his “political” songs are classified by the media as “controversial” so Tom took the attention he got from people/articles written about him that were stupidly untrue 😂, and tried to label him “left or right” and he’s neither, he’s an independent if you have to put a label on him. He doesn’t like labels at all but they were getting “offended” (mostly because they didn’t actually listen) so his songs really just “common sense” seeing the double standards and points out a very simple thing that is “the govmnt, music, artists, the media, and politicians” are pushing to divide us by stupid things and we need to come together……EVERYONE…..thats how we get back on track and restore some balance.

So I’m going to watch a few more of your videos and if you react to Tom, just as a side note, you’ll start showing up in our feeds and the #HOGFAM will find you. We are a big group of people who most have all been through tough times where Tom’s music was helpful in those times. Also the hangover gang shows up for each other not just Tom (not too many fanbases do that). When I was at my lowest, I found Tom’s music and then the hangover gang, I still get people checking in with me to see how I’m doing and were there for me in a very supportive way. If you get any weird or hateful messages and they claim to hangover gang, often times that is someone trying to give us a bad name to reactors, that’s a new thing I’ve seen recently, also of course not everyone agrees on everything BUT you’ll find the Hangover gang are 99.9% just a big group of supportive people for everyone. Tom and Nova (and Brandon) just happen the glue that keeps us all together lol.

Regardless, I would highly recommend you don’t support Tom MacDonald anymore. There’s plenty of talented rappers that are not high key racist and don’t have gross opinions. If you need further convincing, the song “WHITE BOY” by him is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard. Just… yeah. Any skill he has rapping is completely overshadowed by what he decides to talk about, unfortunately. Please do some more research on him and form your own opinion, of course.
