does the car auto lock when you walk away? When it does is it using horn or a beep? I dont like horns, my mazda gives off a subtle electronic chime but when i manually use fob to activate alarm it will honk (only if i double click it otherwise its still a chime). I am shopping for a maverick.
The problem with the removable key part is after some time I am pretty sure that that can loosenup and separate from the rest so you get to replace the most expensive part. They should have a "ring" that holds both parts
My 2020 Ford Edge has a remote window down option. Once enabled from settings via the touch screen. Press unlock once, then again holding for 3 seconds to remotely lower front windows (only). Cannot remotely close windows. Can still remote start - which fortunately also locks doors too.
When u auto roll down windows does it do the sunroof also

Anyway i can get rid of the truck opening up automatically when close to it with the fob in your pocket ? Its annoying when i wash my truck and it keeps opening automatically
Carry keys in Faraday bag/cage (SLNT makes the best) or wrap in a layer of aluminum foil (i used a double layer before getting the SLNT bag). FYi - we've had a rash of car thrives using equipment to read the fob and then start remote controlled vehicles.

This morning, I opened my Ford Explo XLT '23 and to my surprised, all the documents inside the storage box are being taken out and scattered inside the car. There's no broken glass. Nothing was taken out fr the inside as well. Just wondering how the hell they managed to open the car without any keys?
There are means where the crims would have a signal amplifier that amplifies the signal from the key to the car. They could induce an unlock command through this way. Do you store your keys by your door perhaps?

I'm not sure if you got an answer to this. But in my 2018 Ford Flex... there is a slot inside my front center armrest, the key fob fits into.
Once it is placed in there... I can push my start button to start my Flex... maybe there is one in explorer as well.
