My wife's 2020 has 67k miles and the only issue we have had is replace the rear shocks. Great vehicle and was definitely an upgrade over the 16 Sport we had. Plus it makes more power and gets better mileage. She is averaging 23.5 mpg on mainly highway miles.
We love ours and it’s been across 14 states not a single issue other than I haven’t done any upgrades… come to think about it… that’s probably why there’s no problems yet 😂🤣
I love my 23" now that we figured out what that annoying clunk was coming from the front end. It took two trips to the dealership and a loaner car, but I got it back and while they were removing the right front strut for replacement they noticed the upper bearing had separated. So they installed a new RF strut, upper bearing, strut mount, and did an alignment. Reading through the invoice it says “Found SSM 52405 for front strut noise and vehicle falls within build date of SSM criteria" So Ford is aware of this issue somewhere along the line. I know a lot of folks are experiencing this same issue and no one seemed to have a solution I could find. Except that the dealerships were telling them it was normal. DON'T buy that crap if yours is making what sounds like a strut or ball joint noise from the front end!! This SUV runs like a bat out of hell, especially in sport mode. It has a stiff ride and handles like a go cart instead of a 4600lb SUV. I'm doing the ST Experience in Asheville next month and can't wait to run the piss outta one these that I don't have to worry about fixing later ;)
Love my ST 2 years old, only thing wrong with it is that the drivers side seat control cover the plastic part broke from m y smaller wife sliding off of it, and not stepping out. Cant complain.
Good video. I know its great on pavement, how is it in the gravel and sand? Handle okay? Gravel is about as much off roading as I could see doing so I want to know before I order. Thanks
Personally I love it and we haven’t had any real issues. If you go Toyota there’s no real on road fun you can have in my opinion… I think you’d be disappointed.
The 24 is going to be a continuation of the the 23. You may want to wait for the 25. From what I've heard, 24 is going to be a very short run and then the 25's will be introduced.

It's a good video, and I like to see a car review in which it appears the car is actually being used.
Thank ya!
Great video. It's always good to know what you're getting into after the car has been used in real life !!! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review with a fun 1 year story.
Thank ya!

If my wife didn’t think she was Dale Earnhardt, she could prob average that 😂🤣😂
My wife has a grey ST and we love it. One of the best all around vehicles you can buy. One year and 20k miles later and not a single issue

@@TheBoostedFam my wife said don’t do anything to my car 😂😂 I may have to sneak some stuff on it once the warranty goes

I have a 21 ST, with 24,000 miles on it and now I'm having electrical issues with it. It's not starting 😢 it's been in the shop for 2 weeks.
@vivianrobinson882 hate hearing that! Hope they fix it right
Great Video! 🎉
Thank ya!
2022 Ford Explorer ST, 37,267 miles
Thinking about getting a ST or F150 next

The “TICK” is the high pressure fuel pump.
Attractive suv...with fun loaded.
“There’s nowhere to put your phone up here.” Yes, there is, your phone goes where you have the keys. That’s a phone holder.

I think it does great overall but I can say I haven’t had it in sand but plenty of gravel and out in our fields on the farm with no issues.
I have a white '23 ST, hit some high clearance, rock/gravel trails in CO this past week in trail mode, and it made it easy
@wbaskin that’s awesome!
With bolt ons these things cooooook 😎 great sleeper
Looking to get a 2024. Should we stay awat and go Toyota 3 row? I want something reliable but somethinf i can have fun in too.

With that power it looks like a vehicle to drive
Tick is a normal thing with direct injection
Thanks for that info!
try different fuel / additive
Does it damage the car in anyway if u have it in sport mode, on a Daily.?
It shouldn’t… it’s supposed to be built for it.
Where do you drive to put so many miles on already?
Daughter was on a traveling gymnastics team and then most of our family is far up north/on the coast
Any major issues since?
Went over everything in the video. Is there something specific that I didn’t cover that you’re asking about?
that mileage thing? was it there from day one do you remember?
What mileage thing? It’s a little older video and I don’t remember the whole thing lol
@@TheBoostedFam lol all good. The mileage was off.
Its fake exhaust covers. Real pipes are pointed toward the floor.
Front wheel drive Huh?
Intelligent AWD… may have slipped and said FWD…? Not sure where you were going with the comment lol
Nope, rear wheel drive biased. Goes into AWD mode when needed.
Sounds like the car is fine it’s your kids tearing it up
🤦🏻♂️
Ford should have known that would happen and make it kid proof.
There's a cure for kids kicking seats; It is called DISCIPLINE.
It’s been resolved trust me 😂🤣
You must not have kids.

Yeah, the Explorer seems nice, but how could they skip basic things like cargo shade 🤣🤣🤣? Ford employs idiots 🤣🤣🤣.
Just buy a cargo shade. People buy this because it’s twin turbo and it’s an all around vehicle. Not that hard to wrap your head around
